The biting cold of the ice dimension seemed to suck all warmth from the air. A constant snowstorm obscured visibility, and the ground was covered with frozen spikes and crevices. At the center of this frozen landscape, Kushina Uzumaki was frozen in a pillar of ice, her features set in an expression of determination mixed with exhaustion.

Suddenly, a dark portal opened a few meters away from her, tearing through the heavy silence. A woman in black attire emerged. She wore an enigmatic mask, revealing only her fiery red eyes, the distinctive mark of the Sharingan.

Without losing a second, she approached Kushina and, with a punch enveloped in glowing red chakra, shattered the ice pillar. The fragments scattered around her, while Kushina collapsed, unconscious, into her arms.

"Such endurance... She has held on until now," murmured the masked woman, a hint of admiration in her voice.

She was about to leave the dimension when she suddenly stopped. Her eyes shone with an even more intense glow, her left Mangekyo Sharingan activated, connecting with Itachi's.

Through the connection, she witnessed a disturbing scene: Itachi being violently struck by Hyuga. The last blow to the face, brutal, made her vision waver before it turned black.

"Hyuga... He can't help but think he's above orders," she growled beneath her mask, her brows furrowed.

A voice suddenly resonated in her head, calm but tinged with arrogance.

"It's done. I'm finished," announced Hyuga through their link.

Mikoto clenched her fists, irritated. She opened a new portal without losing a second.

Hyuga emerged, carrying the unconscious Itachi over his shoulder. The latter was in a pitiful state, his nose bleeding and his face marked by blows.

Mikoto was already there, holding Kushina in her arms. Upon seeing Itachi's condition, she immediately placed the kunoichi on the ground and turned to Hyuga, her tone icy.

"I told you not to hurt him."

Hyuga dropped Itachi on the ground without ceremony and shrugged.

"It's simpler this way. And anyway, only KageYami has the right to give me orders."

This declaration raised the tension a notch. Mikoto approached him and firmly grabbed his wrist, her gaze burning with anger.

"You should listen to me when I speak."

Hyuga, still calm, replied with a sarcastic tone.

"If I had to obey all the women KageYami has slept with, wouldn't I be the lackey of every kunoichi in the Shinobi world?"

"You...!"

With a sharp movement, she squeezed his wrist with such force that a sinister crack resonated in the cold wind. Hyuga slightly furrowed his brows, a visible pain on his face.

"She is much stronger than me," he thought, quickly assessing the situation. Yet, he maintained his apparent calm, even though his wrist was now reduced to a pulp. Even Jura in Sage Mode couldn't scratch him, but she could easily shatter his bones. Jura was nonetheless five times faster than him if he fought seriously.

"I wonder between her and Slug Sage which one has the most destructive brute strength."

"Are you done? Has your jealousy calmed down a bit?" he retorted, a cold tone still present despite the pain.

Mikoto released him abruptly, her red eyes blazing with annoyance.

"Watch your words, Hyuga. Next time, you might lose more than just a wrist."

Hyuga took a step back and shrugged.

"Take Kushina; I'm going back to deal with Kaguya."

Hyuga opened the portal, casting a final glance at Mikoto before disappearing.

"Kaguya Otsutsuki... The immensely powerful beings Shikai told us about. I could finally let loose after all these years."

She entered another portal herself, heading towards the battlefield.
