Chapter 420: Most Lowkey
As Miyoshi intensified the mist, enveloping the room in a dense fog again, I focused my thoughts, preparing to counter his tactics with my abilities. Find adventures on empire
First, I tapped into my mastery of elemental manipulation. Drawing on the energy within, I conjured a swirling vortex of wind, dispersing the mist around me and clearing my line of sight.
But it didn't work, the miss just showed up again. Unlike Zhang who only used force, I could see that Miyoshi was really smart and had a good head.
I noted down all his abilities: making things heavier, generating mist, messing with my sense of direction, and hiding his presence.
"Hey, why don't you reveal yourself? Let's talk things through. I'm confident you'll appreciate my proposal," I attempted to negotiate again.
"I'm not an idiot," his voice echoed from all directions.
With my barrier set, he couldn't escape this place without alerting me, so I was not worried.
"You want to take down Cerebrum, don't you?" I asked, knowing the shamans harbored animosity toward Cerebrum. I intended to lure him in with that.
"I can help you in taking down Cerebrum in Japan," I added.
"You can't assist me," he answered.
"Are you sure? You do realize I'm not even trying yet, right? I could obliterate this entire place if I wished," I replied with a chuckle.
"Stop bluffing ," his voice echoed again , this time my weight suddenly became much heavier to the point that my lower body sank to the ground.
However, as I became more focused, I managed to hover in the air again. It required more effort, but the weight remained manageable.
"I admit you're strong, but you're too arrogant," Miyoshi's voice echoed with a hint of contempt.
"Me, arrogant? If you knew how powerful I am, you'd say I'm too humble," I replied with a grin.
There was no falsehood in my words. I might be the most low-key person on Earth. If I were some protagonist in a wuxia novel, I'd be face slapping left and right wherever I went. But here I am, being diplomatic and willing to talk things out.
"Shut up," he replied with hostile intent.
I felt my weight increasing again, to the point where I felt as massive as a small ship.
"Okay, playtime's over. I hope you don't die on me," I sighed in disappointment.
Lightning began to converge in my hands, and I also used my Energy Projection to further reinforce my barrier. The attack I was about to unleash would be too powerful. If I didn't isolate it, this place would be destroyed.
I had been contemplating how to make the most of my elemental powers and devised new techniques. This one resembled a more powerful version of a lightning ninjutsu. Like thousands of birds chirping, the lightning in my hands began to emit high frequency sound .
Spark by spark, the strands of lightning spiraled towards each other, forming a pulsating core of pure electricity in the palm of my hand.
With each passing moment, the intensity grew, casting a brilliant glow that illuminated the surroundings with radiance. As the energy reached its peak, a blinding flash erupted, signaling the convergence of the lightning into a single, formidable force.
"Godlike Stream," I muttered, and the lightning exploded, generating a wave of chain lightning that surged around the entire area. It was an area-of-effect attack that would strike anything within my barrier.
The lightning surged on, filling the room with electricity enough to turn anything into dust.
It engulfed everything, obscuring the mist and turning the space into a blinding mass of lightning.
All that remained was pure, unbridled electricity.
After 10 seconds, I willed all the lightning to vanish.
I found myself back in the same room, but everything was churned and scorched. T
he walls were blackened by the intense heat, and on the floor lay Miyoshi, gasping for air. His entire body was burned to the point where he resembled a human charcoal. The only reason he had survived that attack was due to his resilience.
STEP!
STEP!
STEP!
I approached him and sat down. He opened his eyes, filled with anger. He hadn't expected me to possess a skill that powerful. Little did he know, it was not even 5% of what I was capable of.
The time wraiths made me look weak, but that was because they operated on a level still beyond my comprehension.
I had leveled up and was much stronger than when I first fought Zhang. So how could this second-ranking gifted individual ever hope to defeat me? It was simply impossible.
"You should have accepted my offer," I sighed and look him in the eye, mocking his ignorance .
"You were too arrogant," a grin spread across my lips as I sent his previous words back to him. He must have thought he was a dragon, only to realize that in front of me, he was nothing but a small worm.
He attempted to speak, but his melted mouth made it impossible.
The only things remaining intact were his two swords. Those things were more durable than I had expected. The blacksmith who crafted them must have been a real powerhouse.
"You're lucky I'm a good guy," I raised my hands and used suggestion.
With him already weakened, influencing him was a simple task.
Afterward, I used my oath to seal the deal. Thanks to my abilities in healing and shapeshifting, restoring him was effortless. I still required his protection for Yuki once I returned home to Korea.
I might be powerful, but I can't be everywhere at once. Therefore, having strong individuals to work for me is the best option.
"Master," Miyoshi bowed his head, a sign of respect towards me.
"Summon all the high-ranking officers for an emergency meeting," I commanded.
Now that I had control over him, I could utilize his authority to gather everyone and use my abilities to manipulate them all in one fell swoop.
Next, with the number one clan in Japan under my control, I would leverage this to summon all the clan leaders from across the country for a summit and complete this mission.
