Chapter 5: Isle of Queen
Kael settled into the plush leather seat of the sleek black car, its tinted windows barely allowing a sliver of outside light to filter through.
He glanced outside, watching the city's lights blur by.
Suddenly, the car door opened, and a procession of eight women swiftly entered the accompanying cars.
He recognized them instantly—the famed Black Shadows, the elite guard and personal protectors of the Dragon Queen.
Each woman moved with a quiet, deadly grace, their expressions unwavering, eyes sharp and vigilant.
As the convoy neared the airport, Kael's heart pounded with anticipation.
In a private hangar sat an enormous jet, bearing intricate gold and emerald designs that glinted under the hangar lights.
The aircraft was a marvel, exuding both luxury and authority, with wings that swept back elegantly like those of a mythical beast.
It was the sort of plane you'd imagine a queen would own—almost intimidatingly beautiful, with its sleek, obsidian-black exterior that gave it an aura of mystery and power.
Once inside, Kael couldn't help but marvel at the interior.
The plane's walls were paneled with rich, dark wood that seemed to absorb the light, lending an atmosphere of quiet sophistication.
The floors were covered in a soft, plush carpet, and the seating area looked more like a luxurious lounge than the interior of an aircraft.
Velvet couches and armchairs surrounded an intricately carved wooden table at the center.
He took a seat across from his mother, who smiled at him, her expression both soft and powerful.
The Dragon Queen sat regally, exuding a sense of calm control that Kael found both intimidating and oddly reassuring.
As the plane engines roared to life, Kael looked out the window.
She reached out, placing a gentle hand on him.
"How does it look, Kael," she said, her golden eyes studying him with warmth.
"Great" Kael answered , as He was staring at the Sky from the Window
As Kael sat in his seat, he suddenly felt a warm hand on his cheek.
Startled, he looked up to see Amelia, the leader of the Black Shadows and his mother's closest friend.
She was breathtaking beautiful, her fiery red hair cascading over her shoulders, and her green eyes sparkled with a teasing glint.
"Oh my, how much Kael has grown," she said, a smile tugging at her lips. Then, glancing at kael younger brother with a playful smirk, she added,
"And yet, how small Kael has grown, compared to—"
Before she could finish, she was interrupted by a swift, playful punch from the Dragon Queen herself, sending her stumbling back.
"What was that you just said, Amelia?"
Sephina asked, a hint of warning in her tone.
Amelia quickly regained her balance, laughing as she brushed herself off.
"I was just joking, Sephina. Sorry!" she replied with a wink in Kael's direction.
Kael watched the exchange.
After what felt like a long journey, the jet finally touched down.
By the time Kael stepped outside, the morning sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm, golden light over everything.
He blinked as he took in the view, his eyes widening in awe.
The island was breathtaking—a secluded paradise surrounded by crystal-clear waters that sparkled under the morning sun.
Towering palm trees and lush greenery framed the beach, while the sound of gentle waves added a soothing rhythm to the peaceful surroundings.
In the center of the island stood a mansion unlike anything Kael had ever seen.
It was grand and elegant, with a wide balcony overlooking the sea, tall windows glinting in the sunlight, and intricate architectural details that made the structure seem almost regal.
It looked more like a palace than a house—a private retreat for a queen.
"Wow… so beautiful," he murmured, taking it all in.
Behind him, Sephina stepped out, a satisfied smile on her face as she watched Kael's reaction. This island belongs to her
