Novel's Extra: The Lost Heir of Dragon Queen

Chapter 6: Where.... Am I

Kael had been sitting in the grand hall's vast, echoing silence for hours, his thoughts swirling in a mix of curiosity and anxiety.

The hall itself was a testament to the Dragon Queen's power and prestige, with massive arched ceilings adorned in intricate carvings, shimmering chandeliers casting warm light over the polished floors, and expansive windows that showcased the breathtaking view of the island's sunrise.

"Kael…" His mother's voice broke through his thoughts, soft but strong.

He looked up to find her standing in the doorway, regal yet tender, her golden eyes fixed on him with an emotion that seemed both loving and conflicted.

The delicate yet powerful aura she emitted filled the room as she approached him.

'Oh, I think preparations are done.'

'I know I haven't lost any memory, so there's no chance of 'regaining' it.'

The main reason I said I'd lost my memories? Simple. I know the future of this world.

I know it's on the brink of falling apart, and I have no choice but to become strong enough to change that fate.

As of now, I might be powerful on paper, but what good is strength when I don't even know how to wield it?

I have these elements, these skills—but without knowing how to use them, they're just words on a screen.

There's only one goal for me now: to master everything I have, to become powerful. With the help of Sephina dragon queen

'This world won't wait, and neither can I.'

Kael thought as he rose from the sofa, meeting her outside on the terrace.

The wind picked up slightly, carrying the scent of the sea and something else—something that felt ancient and powerful.

He sat before her, feeling a strange mix of calm and anticipation.

His mother, Sephina, came close and placed her warm hand on his back, the touch both reassuring and grounding.

"Are you ready, Kael?" she asked, her voice a mix of strength and softness.

He nodded, his resolve firm. "Yes."

Then, without further warning

Sephina's aura intensified as she began to surge her energy toward him, a mystical force he could feel but not yet fully comprehend.

A sudden, overwhelming thrust entered his mind, sending waves of energy coursing through his entire being.

Every second felt like an eternity as the power flooded into him, unlocking something buried deep within, a fragment of his own strength and past merging with his awareness.

Minutes stretched into hours.

Kael's mind fought to stay conscious, but the sheer force of Sephina's energy finally overpowered him, and his world faded to black.

Now, four hours later, Kael lay unconscious, his expression peaceful .

Sephina stood up slowly, looking down at Kael ,with sorrow and love intermingling in her gaze.

Gently, she lifted him, cradling him close to her chest before lifting him into the air with a gentle gesture, her tears falling silently.

She moved him through the hallway, guiding him with magic as Kael floated towards bedroom.

"You will be okay, Kael," she whispered, her voice breaking as she brushed a tear from her cheek.

As Sephina gently tucked Kael into bed, her face still marked with concern.

Amelia entered the room, her steps quiet but purposeful.

Her fiery red hair framed her face, and her sharp, green eyes immediately took in the situation with the precision of someone used to watching over others.

"You took longer than I expected," Amelia remarked, crossing her arms as she leaned against the doorframe, her gaze shifting between Sephina and the unconscious Kael.

Sephina turned to her, her expression thoughtful, tinged with a hint of worry.

"I don't know what it was," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"But there was a strange energy… something I hadn't felt before, pushing back against my power during the process. I had to tread carefully, or I might have risked hurting him."

Amelia's brow furrowed, and her gaze fixed on Kael, as if trying to detect whatever energy Sephina had sensed.

She studied his pale, sleeping face, and for the first time in a long while, a hint of unease crossed her usually unshakable expression.

"Do you think…?" Amelia began, glancing back at Sephina.

Sephina shook her head slightly.

"I'm not certain. But whatever it was, it's… dormant now." She sighed, reaching over to brush a strand of white hair from Kael's forehead, her fingers lingering for a moment.

"It feels as if there's more to him than I could see. Something locked away that even he doesn't know about."

The two women stood in silence, their gazes fixed on Kael.

(POV: Kael)

"Where… am I?" he muttered, his voice echoing faintly in the emptiness around him.

In the black void, Kael drifted, his thoughts blurred and scattered.

He felt weightless, suspended in an endless darkness that seemed to stretch on forever.

He looked ahead and saw a faint glimmer, a distant light piercing through the darkness, small yet growing brighter with every moment.

The light seemed to beckon him, pulling him forward, filling him with an odd sense of warmth and familiarity.

Gathering his resolve, Kael took a step toward the light.

Each step felt strange, as if he was wading through water, but he pressed on, the light growing larger, brighter, and more intense with each passing moment.

Shadows flickered around him, casting strange shapes along the tunnel walls, but he focused only on that light.

Hoping it would lead him out of this strange,

dark place.
