One Piece: Absolute Domination; Reborn as Luffy

Chapter 68: 68: Rayleigh's Outburst

"Yasakani no Magatama!"

Kizaru unleashed his ultimate move—a wide-area attack.

If he couldn't catch Rayleigh's figure, then saturating the battlefield with light was the way to go.

"Zzzzzt! Zzzzzt! Zzzzzt!"

Countless beams of light shot out in all directions, each one carrying destructive force.

Amid the dazzling bombardment, a figure zipped through the storm like an agile lightning bolt.

No matter how overwhelming the barrage, none of it could land a meaningful hit.

"Whoosh!"

Rayleigh suddenly accelerated.

"Huh?"

Kizaru sensed danger and quickly repositioned himself, bending light to shift his body.

"Slash!"

A single stroke from Rayleigh's sword cut Kizaru in two.

Thankfully, Kizaru had already moved his real body, leaving only an afterimage. Otherwise, the Haki-infused strike would have been impossible to withstand.

"Scary!"

Kizaru was shaken.

After all, he was an Admiral of the Marine Headquarters—a title that didn't come without immense skill.

"Impressive," Rayleigh smirked coldly, acknowledging Kizaru's ability to hold his ground.

For a moment, it seemed that Rayleigh couldn't fully suppress Kizaru. Still, the fact remained: Kizaru was injured.

"Rayleigh," Kizaru called out, his voice deliberate.

"You're as formidable as ever, Dark King.

"Even in your old age, your blade hasn't dulled."

As he spoke, his tone carried a hint of calculation.

"But I'm not here to duel with you. My mission is to eliminate the Straw Hat crew."

With that, Kizaru turned into a streak of light and vanished.

"Not good!"

Rayleigh realized something was wrong.

Suddenly, a blinding beam of light enveloped the Thousand Sunny.

"What the—?!"

Zoro and the others gasped in shock.

"Damn that Kizaru!"

"He just won't quit!"

Sanji's frustration boiled over.

"We need to teach him a lesson!"

In a flash, Kizaru reappeared, already closing in on the ship.

"Zzzzt!"

Light beams rained down, targeting the Sunny.

But Rayleigh was faster.

In an instant, his speed multiplied, surpassing anything Kizaru could have anticipated.

Haki swirled around him, the force of Conqueror's Haki augmenting his strikes.

Kizaru's eyes widened.

"What the—?! Conqueror's Haki… The ultimate power…"

Even as he tried to dodge, a streak of Rayleigh's blade grazed him.

"Slash!"

Kizaru stumbled back, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth once again.

Rayleigh's voice rang out, cold and resolute.

"Kizaru, bullying kids isn't bravery."

Kizaru chuckled, ignoring his injury.

"Come now, Dark King Rayleigh. Don't be ridiculous."

"I'm just following orders."

"The Celestial Dragons' authority must be upheld."

"No matter what you say, I'm taking a few members of the Straw Hat crew today."

Kizaru's body flickered as he once again dissolved into light.

Rayleigh's Observation Haki kicked in. He sensed it—the light wasn't coming from one direction anymore.

"What—?!"

A rain of glowing figures descended from above.

To their astonishment, there were ten Kizarus, each armed with a fearsome Amatsu magatsuchi sword.

Nami's face turned pale as she cried out,

"What's going on?!

"How did he become ten people?!

"We can barely handle one—how do we fight ten?!"

Nami's voice was filled with panic, but Robin remained composed.

Analyzing the situation calmly, she spoke up:

"It must be a duplication technique," Robin analyzed calmly.

"There's no way every one of them has the full strength of an Admiral."

Even so, the situation was dire.

The duplicates were terrifying enough, and Kizaru's real objective was clear: to eliminate the Straw Hat crew. He wasn't planning to waste time tangling with Rayleigh for too long.

And this move—duplicating himself—was the perfect tool for the task.

Rayleigh's eyes narrowed as he sensed danger.

"Hmph."

With a low snort, he gripped his sword tightly.

In his hands, the blade began to radiate an immense energy. Conqueror's Haki spiraled around it, black lightning crackling and surging outward in explosive arcs.

"Kizaru."

Rayleigh's voice was cold and sharp.

"Do you really think this little trick can stop me?"

As he spoke, his sword swung in a wide arc, releasing a chain of crackling lightning infused with Conqueror's Haki.

"What?"

The ten Kizarus collectively reacted, sensing the impending threat.

The black lightning surged outward, a chain of destructive force lashing across the battlefield.

"Damn it!"

Kizaru felt the growing pressure of Rayleigh's Haki and recognized the danger immediately.

But it was too late.

The lightning chain weaved through the duplicates, piercing each one as if stringing them on a skewer.

In rapid succession, one after another, the duplicates burst apart into shimmering fragments of light.

All ten Kizarus vanished, their forms dissolving into nothingness.

"Damn it!"

Even Kizaru's real body, hidden among the duplicates, staggered for a moment as the last of the decoys evaporated into glowing mist.

Zoro's sharp eyes caught onto something and quickly shouted,

"Wait! Something's wrong!"

"If all ten duplicates were destroyed and turned into light…"

"That means his real body wasn't among them!"

Zoro's words hit the group like a thunderclap.

And in that instant, a chilling sense of dread washed over everyone.

"What?!"

Their faces turned pale as they looked up—just in time to see a figure descending rapidly from above.

It was Kizaru.

"Scary, isn't it?" Kizaru's smug voice echoed as he descended.

"But it's over now."

Laser beams began condensing at his fingertips, glowing with deadly intensity.

"Zzzzt!"

With a deafening roar, the air above the Thousand Sunny erupted in an explosion of light and energy.

"Game over," Kizaru declared with a smirk.

"Straw Hat crew… wiped out. Heh-heh."

But then, his expression faltered.

Before he could finish gloating, a blade flashed toward him, forcing him to dodge at the last moment.

Kizaru's evasive maneuver barely saved him as a powerful strike cut through the air where he had just been.

It was Rayleigh.

Somehow, amidst the chaos of the explosion, Rayleigh had managed to shield the Sunny entirely, leaving it unscathed.

Kizaru's smirk was gone, replaced with grudging admiration.

"Dark King Rayleigh," he said, his tone tinged with respect.

"You really are terrifying."

"So you had a secret technique up your sleeve."

Kizaru had noticed it during the blast—some kind of concealed, trump-card ability Rayleigh must have used to protect the ship.

It was a reminder of who Rayleigh was: the Dark King, a legend of the seas.

Rayleigh's voice remained calm but firm.

"Kizaru."

"The times have changed."

"These youngsters you're so intent on eliminating…"

"Someday, they'll surpass you."

His words were simple, yet they carried undeniable weight.

Kizaru fell silent.

Deep down, he knew the truth of those words. Given time, these so-called "brats" would become unimaginable forces in the world.

That was why he sought to destroy them now.

"Scary, isn't it?" Kizaru said, echoing his earlier words with a faint smirk.

"But…"

"Did you really think I came alone?"

As if on cue, the sound of approaching boots echoed across the battlefield.

A wave of reinforcements arrived—Marine officers and soldiers, their numbers overwhelming.

Rayleigh's eyes darted toward the incoming forces. He nodded slightly, acknowledging the situation.

After all, in terms of sheer military might, no force in the world surpassed the Marines.

For now, it was not a fight they could win head-on.

Rayleigh turned toward the crew and shouted,

"Go! Now!"

"Don't waste any more time here!"

Zoro and the others hesitated for a brief moment.

"Leave?"

But they understood.

Rayleigh's command wasn't a suggestion—it was an order born out of necessity.

"Where's the captain?!"

"Where's Luffy?!" Zoro shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Rayleigh-senpai!"

"Luffy—what happened to him?"

"You said you were escorting him! Why isn't he here yet?"

"We can't leave without him!"

The sentiment was unanimous among the crew.

Monkey D. Luffy wasn't just their captain; he was their soul, their anchor, the very core of the Straw Hat Pirates.

If he wasn't here, leaving was impossible.

Hearing Luffy's name, an intense emotion flickered across Rayleigh's face. But he quickly suppressed it, his years of experience and resilience showing.

Even as his mind churned, he kept his expression steady, his voice calm and commanding.

"If you don't leave now, all of you will die," Rayleigh warned firmly.

"As for Luffy… he'll catch up with you later.

"Trust me. Now go!"

His voice was unwavering, but the urgency in his words was clear.

The Marine forces were closing in, and Kizaru was already making his next move, trying to seize the opportunity to eliminate the crew in one swift strike.

But Rayleigh wouldn't allow it.

"Kizaru," Rayleigh called out sharply, his voice laced with disdain.

"You really are disgraceful.

"Always attacking during a conversation, huh? Can't even wait for people to finish talking?"

Kizaru smirked lazily, waving a hand as if dismissing the accusation.

"Oh, how scary," he replied in mock fear.

"But this isn't a sparring match, Dark King."

"It's a battle."

"You shouldn't let your guard down."

Without further delay, the two clashed again, their fight escalating into an intense display of strength and skill.

Meanwhile, Zoro and the others stood frozen, unsure of what Rayleigh's cryptic words truly meant.

"Catch up later?" Zoro muttered, his brow furrowed. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"What happened to Luffy?"

"Why isn't he here?"

They couldn't accept it.

Sanji took a deep breath, stepping forward decisively.

"Look, it's like this," Sanji said.

"Rayleigh-senpai said Luffy will catch up, and if he said it, then it's true."

"Right now, we need to leave."

His voice carried an edge of finality, and though the others were reluctant, they nodded in agreement.

Sanji was right.

The situation was dire, and waiting any longer could cost all of them their lives.

"We'll head out," Sanji continued.

"But we'll be ready to come back for him, no matter what."

Zoro gritted his teeth but gave a firm nod.

"Fine. Set sail."

"To Fish-Man Island!"

The decision was made.

Though their hearts were heavy and their minds full of questions, the crew knew they had no choice.

Explosions rained down as cannonballs blanketed the air above the Thousand Sunny, their numbers so overwhelming it seemed impossible to escape unscathed.

But the Straw Hats had survived the impossible before, and they did so again.

With precise maneuvers and sheer determination, the Sunny slipped through the onslaught.

Meanwhile, the battle between Rayleigh and Kizaru raged on.

Shockwaves rippled through the air as the two clashed, their fight tearing apart the skies above Sabaody.

Only when the Thousand Sunny had disappeared over the horizon did the two finally disengage.

Kizaru, his mission failed, smirked as he pulled back.

"Oh, how scary," he said, his lazy tone as infuriating as ever.

"Dark King Rayleigh… truly living up to your reputation as the Pirate King's right hand."

"I'll remember you."

With that, Kizaru's body dissolved into light, and he vanished, leaving the battlefield.

Rayleigh watched the departing Marines with a quiet sigh, his shoulders slumping ever so slightly.

When he was sure they were gone, he suddenly doubled over, coughing violently.

A bitter smile spread across his face as he muttered to himself.

"Ah, I really am getting old."

"In my younger days…"

"Ah, forget it."

He straightened up, his gaze drifting into the distance as he murmured softly,

"Luffy…"

"Where are you?"

"You really are a handful, aren't you?"

With a weary sigh, Rayleigh turned and began walking away.

Meanwhile, in a remote corner of the New World, a familiar figure stood laughing.

It was Luffy.

"Ah-ha-ha-ha!" he bellowed, slapping his stomach.

"These past few days, I've eaten so many giant Sea Kings!"

"They were delicious!"

He flexed his arms, grinning widely.

"With how much I've trained, even without using my Conqueror's Haki, I bet I'm already at a 1.5 billion bounty level!"

His tone was full of confidence and excitement.

But then he scratched his head, his grin turning sheepish.

"Only problem is…"

"I forgot to bring a map."

He let out a long sigh.

"Ah, I got carried away playing around… and now I'm totally lost."
