One Piece: Deriving All Things

Chapter 108: The 200-Year-Old Little Girl

In a certain sea area of the New World,a small boat, roughly ten meters long, sailed over the calm sea.

Even without raising its sails, the boat sped along at an astonishing pace. What was surprising was that it didn't follow a single direction—sometimes heading south, other times north—as though searching for something.

On the deck, Sanders sat leisurely on a chair with a bottle of beer in hand.

A chill of frost emanated from his palm, instantly chilling the beer.Taking a sip, a faint trace of helplessness appeared on his face.

He had been chasing the "Bonbori" across the sea for several days now, always following it.Yet, the creature had not surfaced even once.

This left Sanders at a loss, unable to enter the stomach-world of the Bonbori.Without pure gold in his possession, he couldn't lure the creature into swallowing him.

Finishing the rest of the beer in one gulp, Sanders wiped the froth from the corner of his mouth and headed to the cabin.

Looking around, the cabin contained essential supplies for living, along with a large stockpile of weapons and metal blocks.

These were all things he had prepared for his Fusion Fruit ability.

"Good thing I studied Law's submarine before coming," Sanders muttered, moving the items from the cabin to the deck.

Considering the Bonbori might remain deep underwater, he had brought these specifically for the task.

Under Sanders' control, the small boat began to ascend into the sky.Hovering midair, Sanders activated the power of his Fusion Fruit.

Under its influence, the weapons and metal blocks on the deck began to shift and transform.Even the boat itself began to morph.

Before long, a ten-meter-long submarine appeared before Sanders.

Climbing into the submarine, he carefully placed it back onto the sea's surface.

With a thought, the submarine began its descent, heading toward the Bonbori's location.

After diving several hundred meters below the surface,Sanders finally spotted the colossal body of the Bonbori.

It was an enormous, somewhat ugly fish with a head adorned by a glowing, lantern-like appendage that emitted a yellow light, visible even from a distance.

At this moment, the giant anglerfish's massive eyes were closed, as though it was resting.

Sanders carefully maneuvered the submarine closer.

"How am I supposed to get in?"He scratched his chin, stumped.

The Bonbori's mouth was firmly shut, leaving no opening for him to enter its stomach. While the lantern atop its head also contained pure gold,Sanders wasn't interested in retrieving it from there—it was far too much to carry back.

The pure gold discovered by Misgina Achié in her laboratory, however, was just the right size—a single block that could be divided into countless smaller pieces.

Pure gold's so-called "immortality" abilityworked by greatly delaying aging and inhibiting growth.

In essence, it stretched the time from maturity to old age and death to an extreme.

This was why Olga, who had lived for over 200 years inside the Bonbori, still appeared as she did two centuries ago.

Pure gold slowed her growth to a near halt, while also stopping the progression of her illness.

Once she wore a ring containing pure gold, her entire body effectively became frozen in time.

Staring at the sleeping Bonbori,Sanders contemplated for a moment before unleashing his Conqueror's Haki.

The surrounding marine life, startled by the overwhelming aura, scattered in panic.

The Bonbori, too, was roused from its slumber, slowly opening its massive eyes.

Its gigantic mouth opened unconsciously, revealing rows of jagged teeth as seawater gushed inside.

Sanders' expression turned serious. Seizing the moment, he powered the submarine to its maximum speed, steering it straight into the creature's gaping mouth.

Once Sanders was inside, the Bonbori's mouth gradually closed. Its huge eyes scanned its surroundings in the deep sea for a while.

Finding nothing unusual, it shut its eyes once more.

Inside the Bonbori's mouth, everything was pitch black.

Sanders turned on the submarine's lights ,illuminating a greenish, water-like substance surrounding him. Ahead, a massive tongue loomed into view.

Carefully maneuvering the submarine to avoid the corrosive liquid that could damage it, Sanders began making his way through the Bonbori's esophagus.

Upon entering the Bonbori's first massive stomach, Sanders was greeted with an extraordinary sight—a small island.

Unlike the darkness of the esophagus, this place was as bright as daylight. The illumination came from the Bonbori's enormous glowing lantern, which cast its light through the creature's body.

The island even had vegetation growing on it.

Sanders spread his Observation Haki, instantly perceiving the entire island in his mind. The sounds of various creatures resonated in his thoughts—dinosaurs, lizards, and other animals.

More importantly, there were two humans.

"Found them!"Sanders raised an eyebrow, a smile curving his lips.

His primary goal in coming here was to retrieve pure gold, but rescuing the father-daughter pair who had lived here for centuries was a secondary objective.

Focusing in one direction, Sanders piloted his submarine toward it.

On the island, a girl with yellow hair sat on a rock, holding a half-rotten fruit in her hand.A green lizard accompanied her.

The girl carefully sliced away the spoiled part of the fruit and popped the edible portion into her mouth, swallowing it whole.

"Elisabeth, I really want some meat!"She rubbed her stomach, drooling as she gazed at a dinosaur in the distance.

It had been nearly 200 years since she'd last eaten meat. For over a century, she had survived solely on fruits and vegetables.

Though there were plenty of dinosaurs on the island, they were far beyond her ability to handle. She usually had to hide whenever she saw one.

The green lizard tilted its head and chirped twice.

The girl patted it affectionately. "Luckily, I have you. Otherwise, I don't know how I would have survived all these years."

Just then, the lizard let out another cry, turning its gaze skyward.

The girl followed its line of sight, spotting a submarine-like object hovering in the air.

As if sensing their attention, the submarine began descending toward them.

"A flying submarine?!""Someone's in the Bonbori's stomach?!"

The girl's eyes widened in shock.

"Were they swallowed by the Bonbori? What rotten luck!"

Her eyes darted mischievously as she whispered to the lizard:"Elisabeth, if we can steal that flying submarine,we might finally have a chance to leave the Bonbori body!"

The lizard chirped twice, nodding repeatedly.

From the submarine, a clear and cheerful voice rang out:"Little girl, I can hear what you're saying, you know."

The hatch opened, and Sanders stepped out.

His gaze instantly recognized the girl before him,one of the only two humans living inside the Bonbori—the yellow-haired girl and her father.

"Hello, Misgina Olga," Sanders greeted with a smile.

"Huh?"

Hearing her name, Olga looked at him in astonishment.

"You know me?"

"Olga, the daughter of Misgina Achie, the scientist who created pure gold." Sanders grinned.

His words stunned Olga, her heart racing.

"You're a pirate here for the pure gold, aren't you?"

"That's right. Pure gold, with its immense value capable of buying the world, is something anyone would want," Sanders replied without hesitation.

Olga discreetly touched the ring on her hand, but Sanders pretended not to notice and continued speaking:

"Over a hundred years ago, you contracted an incurable disease. To save your life, your father created pure gold. However, pure gold attracted countless pirates, leading to your mother's death at their hands."

"This made you resent your father deeply."

"In one argument, you took off your ring. The glow of the pure gold within it attracted a massive anglerfish, which swallowed your island whole."

"And so, for over a hundred years, you've lived inside the Bonbori stomach."

"Am I wrong, Olga?"

As Sanders narrated Olga's story, she stared at him as if he were a monster.

Taking several steps back, she blurted out,"How do you know all this?"

Then, realizing something, she asked in disbelief:"Wait, did you just say… I got sick, and my father created pure gold because of that?"

"Exactly."

"Pure gold keeps your body in a certain state, preventing your condition from worsening. That's also why, despite living for over a century, you still look like a little girl."

Sanders nodded.

It was a classic story:a father's desperate attempt to save his daughter inadvertently caused disaster, costing him his wife and earning his daughter's hatred.

And, like many similar tales, the father chose to remain silent, never explaining himself.

Thus, the daughter harbored resentment for over a century.

"No… it can't be…"

Olga collapsed to the ground, her eyes brimming with tears.

Memories of her confrontations with her father flooded her mind.

Although those memories had become extremely blurry due to the passage of time, at this moment, Olga seemed to feel the inner grievance and guilt of her father.

She had hated her father for over a hundred years. Now, she realized everything her father did was for her.

Over a hundred years had passed. Her father had long been dissolved by the gastric juices of the Anglerfish Lord, leaving not even a trace behind. She no longer had a chance to apologize to him.

The green lizard looked at the grieving Olga, rubbing its head against her.

Sanders' voice sounded again."No time to grieve now; it's time to find your father."

Hearing this, Olga suddenly looked at Sanders."Find my father? Are you saying my father is still alive?"

"If you can live for over a hundred years, why wouldn't your father, the man who researched Pure Gold, still be alive?"

"Is he outside? Did he send you to find me?" Olga asked as she wiped the tears from her face.

This man knew about events from over a century ago and that her father had created Pure Gold to save her. The only explanation was that her father had escaped from the Anglerfish Lord's body and told this man everything.

"No," Sanders shook his head. "I learned about this from elsewhere. Your father is right here on this island."

"On this island?!"

Olga's eyes widened in shock. She hadn't expected that her father was living on the same island as her.But why hadn't they encountered each other in over a hundred years?

Although she frequently visited the other stomachs of the Anglerfish Lord, she spent the most time in the first stomach.

The Anglerfish Lord had three stomachs. This one, the first stomach, housed an island with dinosaurs. Her father's lab containing Pure Gold was in the third stomach.

"Come with me. I'll take you to him," Sanders said, heading toward the submarine.

Olga hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow. The green lizard, Elizabeth, trailed close behind her as they boarded the submarine.

Inside, Olga couldn't stop herself from examining the submarine's interior.

"Want some meat?" Sanders brought over a large plate of grilled meat.

The meat had just been taken out of a Flame Shell, and it was still steaming.

The smell of roasted meat wafted through the air, making Olga drool. In over a hundred years of living here, she rarely had the chance to eat meat, relying on vegetables and fruits to sustain herself.

"Go ahead, eat. I'll take you to your father."

Sanders placed the plate in front of Olga as he steered the submarine toward the mountain.

Olga grabbed the plate and stuffed the entire piece of grilled meat into her mouth, chewing voraciously.

The savory flavors of the meat exploded in her mouth, and a satisfied expression spread across her face.

In no time, the entire piece of meat was gone.Meanwhile, the submarine stopped in front of a cave.

"Let's go. Your father is inside," Sanders said, opening the submarine hatch and preparing to step out.

"Wait! Don't go out! There are dinosaurs out there!" Olga grabbed Sanders' arm.

Through the glass, she could see the massive dinosaurs outside and was visibly panicking.

"It's fine."

Sanders chuckled, grabbing Olga by the collar and leaping out of the submarine.

The nearby dinosaurs immediately roared and began converging on them.

"We're going to die! We're going to die!" Olga screamed as she struggled in Sanders' grip.

She could already envision herself and this man being torn apart by the dinosaurs.

Inside the submarine, the green lizard Elizabeth was frantically pacing back and forth, too afraid to leave the safety of the vehicle.

A massive dinosaur charged at Sanders with its jaws wide open.

"Scram!"

Sanders glared, unleashing his Conqueror's Haki.

The dinosaur froze, its expression turning human-like with visible terror, and even a bead of sweat appeared on its forehead before it bolted away.

The other dinosaurs followed suit.In a matter of moments, the ones surrounding them had all fled.

Olga stared in astonishment at the scene unfolding before her."These dinosaurs... are afraid of you?"

"I can kill them. Of course, they'd be afraid," Sanders replied nonchalantly as he set Olga down on the ground.

"No wonder you dared to come into the Anglerfish Lord's body to look for Pure Gold. You're really something," Olga muttered before adding with a mischievous grin, "Heh, just wait. When you're busy looking for Pure Gold, I'll team up with my father to steal your submarine and leave this place!"

"Without a submarine, you'll be stuck here for hundreds of years, just like me! Heh heh heh," she cackled with a scheming expression, unashamedly voicing her inner thoughts.

Sanders' face darkened, and he didn't hesitate to knock on Olga's head lightly."I can hear you, Olga!"

"What a nasty personality!" he muttered under his breath before pointing toward a dinosaur den."Your father is in there."

With that, he strode toward the cave.

Olga glanced around curiously as she followed, finally understanding why she and her father hadn't crossed paths for over a century.

This place was the dinosaurs' territory.Dinosaur nests were scattered everywhere.

In the past, Olga had always avoided this area for fear of becoming a dinosaur's snack.Similarly, her father must have been trapped here due to the constant presence of dinosaurs, unable to leave.

The dinosaur herd served as a barrier, keeping them apart for all these years.

Inside the den, Olga saw a group of juvenile dinosaurs gnawing on meat.Among them was one clearly larger than the others.

This peculiar figure had a round head, golden hair, and wore a dinosaur costume from the waist down.

At that moment, he was eating meat just like the young dinosaurs around him.

"That's... my father?" Olga whispered to herself, her eyes fixed on the middle-aged man who looked quite different from the one in her memories.

"ROAR!!"

Suddenly, a beastly roar echoed through the cave.

The loud noise startled the middle-aged man mid-meal.

Panicked, he quickly adjusted his dinosaur costume, camouflaging himself to look like one of the juvenile dinosaurs.

His eyes darted around the cave, trying to figure out why the larger dinosaur had roared.

Then his gaze froze.

He spotted Sanders standing in the cave, and a look of shock flashed across his face.

"A human?!"

"Did they get swallowed by the Anglerfish Lord too?" His pupils trembled, but then he noticed the figure standing beside the tall man.

"Is that... Olga?!"

"She's still alive!!"

The middle-aged man's gaze locked onto his daughter, the girl he thought he'd lost forever.

His daughter was alive—standing right in front of him!
