Chapter 11: RBTC: Chapter 11
---
Stepping onto the execution platform, Roger's solemn expression relaxed, as if he had arrived at his destination for the banquet. He smiled, and without waiting for the Marines to strap him to the platform, he sat down in the execution chair.
Sitting down, Roger smiled and said, "Alright, let's get this over with!"
His face was full of smiles as he looked at the crowd below.
Seeing this, Buggy knew that the iconic dialogue that would make him the Pirate King was about to begin. This dialogue would mark the beginning of the Great Pirate Era.
As expected, the world of One Piece didn't experience a butterfly effect because of his arrival.
From the silent crowd, a voice suddenly rang out, "Hey, Pirate King, where did you hide all the treasure you plundered? Did you get that legendary Grand Treasure? That vast Grand Treasure, the Grand Treasure!"
Hearing this, Roger's smile grew wider. He couldn't help but laugh out loud. He said with a booming laugh, "You want my treasure? If you want it, you can have it all. Go find it! I left all my treasure there."
Hearing Roger's words, the Marine higher-ups realized something was wrong. They immediately ordered the execution. The executioner raised his long sword and plunged it into Roger's body.
As the two swords pierced Roger's body, nothing happened. Roger remained normal, with a smile on his face. He slowly lowered his head. After a while, his body collapsed limply to the ground.
Seeing this, Shanks and Buggy both burst into tears. Buggy knew what would happen, but he couldn't control his tears. Shanks wanted to rush to the execution platform, but Rayleigh, who was standing beside him, quickly grabbed him.
After hearing Roger's words, people didn't care if he was dead or not. A roar of excitement erupted from the crowd. Everyone was smiling, and some were even restless, eager to go find the treasure left by the Pirate King. Many pirates were already impatient and ready to leave, ready to act immediately.
Seeing this, the Marines immediately ordered the arrest of all the pirates present. The pirates scattered and ran towards the sea, towards the Grand Treasure. The Great Pirate Era had begun.
Buggy, Shanks, Rayleigh, and the rest of the crew didn't stay there. They didn't go to collect Roger's body.
This was a sensitive time. If they showed themselves, the Marines might fight them to the death. Rayleigh also believed that the Marines wouldn't desecrate Roger's body. After all, there was still Garp in the Marines. He was someone Roger could trust with his legacy. He wouldn't let Roger's body be neglected. He would certainly take care of it properly.
They quietly withdrew from the crowd, avoiding the Marines who were arresting the pirates, and arrived at a forest in Loguetown.
"Vice Captain, did the captain sacrifice himself for this? He's so stupid. Can't we change the world with our own strength? What good can those trash do?"
Bullet saw the crowd's reaction in the square and understood why Roger had done this. He simply wanted more people to become pirates, to follow in his footsteps, to find Laugh Tale, to learn the truth of the world, and to fulfill his dreams.
But Bullet thought it was incredibly stupid. What good could those trash do? It would be better to gather everyone in the remaining time and complete what he wanted to accomplish.
"Bullet, the captain's body couldn't hold out any longer. He had no other choice. This was the best solution he could think of. Don't underestimate everyone. Wealth, fame, and power are also very powerful forces. Perhaps one day, someone will truly fulfill his wish."
Hearing Rayleigh's words, Bullet didn't argue. He turned and left. The matter was settled. There was no need for him to stay. He didn't want to argue. He only believed that he was right. The world was ruled by the strong. What did the weak have to do with it?
Seeing Bullet's departing figure, Rayleigh didn't say anything else. Everyone had their own path. Bullet wouldn't be swayed by a few words from him. He had his own path to walk, and Rayleigh wouldn't interfere.
After Bullet left, the other members of the Roger Pirates left one by one. Only Rayleigh and the two of them remained in the forest.
"You two lads, what are you going to do next? Are you going to stay with me and learn for a while, or do you have other plans?"
"Rayleigh-san, I've decided to set sail officially. I want to see Laugh Tale and fulfill the captain's unfinished wish."
It was Shanks who spoke. He had experienced this event and had considered his future. He had learned all he needed to. He just needed time to solidify it. There was no need to train any further. It was time for him to set sail.
Hearing Shanks' answer, Rayleigh wasn't surprised. He had already guessed this outcome when he asked that question.
Shanks was strong enough to set sail now. There was no need to stop him. He fully supported his decision. A hawk will eventually spread its wings and fly to the vast sky. How could he stop him from flying towards the boundless sea?
Rayleigh then turned his gaze to Buggy, who was standing beside him.
Before Rayleigh could speak, Buggy said, "Rayleigh-san, I'm also going to set sail. I've learned enough. I want to go out to sea and see the world."
"Come with me, Buggy," Shanks said excitedly as soon as he heard Buggy was going to set sail. He smiled and extended the invitation.
"I'm not going to be your subordinate, you idiot," Buggy knew what Shanks meant. He was simply asking him to join his crew. This was a good option for Buggy. Following Shanks would lead to a bright future. He could definitely become a First Mate.
But after thinking about it, he gave up. It wasn't his ambition. Since he had come to this world, how could he be content with being a First Mate of a Yonko crew? Who was stronger, who was weaker, was still unknown. Shanks could become a Yonko, and he could definitely become one too. Even the original Buggy hadn't chosen this path. How could he choose it?
"Buggy, think about it. My First Mate position is yours for the taking."
Shanks tried to persuade him.
"No, Shanks, I won't be your First Mate."
Seeing Buggy's firm expression, Shanks realized that his idea was impossible. Buggy wouldn't join his crew.
"Alright, alright, Shanks, you both have your own paths to walk. There's no need to force it."
Rayleigh knew Buggy's choice. He didn't want Shanks to force the issue.
