Chapter 145: Uchiha Akira
-----
West Blue
Ilusia Kingdom
World Government Recruitment Center
"Name?"
"Uchiha Akira."
"Uchiha A... what?! Uchiha?!"
The marine soldier responsible for registration was instantly stunned upon hearing the name, his head snapping up in alarm.
Who was Uchiha?
In this world, it was the most infamous name—a name that struck fear into everyone.
Uchiha symbolized destruction. That man had single-handedly obliterated Marineford, the headquarters of the Marines, sending tremors throughout the entire world.
"You... you... you..."
The marine soldier trembled as he stared at Uchiha Akira's face, fear evident in his eyes. The man looked almost identical to Uchiha Kitaro, except for his hair color, attire, and overall demeanor.
On the wanted posters, Uchiha Kitaro was depicted wearing the deep blue attire of the Uchiha clan. By contrast, this man wore white clothing bearing the clan's crest.
"You're Uchiha Kitaro!"
The marine's exclamation was like a bomb detonating in the recruitment center.
Who was Uchiha Kitaro?
In this world, you could be ignorant of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the Four Emperors, or even the Marine Admirals—but not Uchiha Kitaro.
"It's him! It really is him!"
"I've seen him on the livestream! He's identical, except for the clothes and hair color!"
Panic spread like wildfire. Marines shook with terror, and civilians stood frozen, their fear palpable.
Uchiha Akira smiled gently. "You've mistaken me for someone else. My name is Uchiha Akira. Uchiha Kitaro is my twin brother."
"Uchiha Akira? Not Uchiha Kitaro?"
"Twin brother?"
"Still a member of the Uchiha clan!"
The name Uchiha carried both glory and terror. The immense strength displayed by Uchiha Kitaro and Uchiha Shisui had left an indelible mark on the world.
"Mr. Uchiha Akira... may I ask why you're here?" The trembling marine soldier finally managed to speak.
"Why? Isn't this the recruitment center for the World Government? I'm here to join the Marines, of course."
"Join the Marines?!"
Everyone's expressions froze in disbelief.
A member of the Uchiha clan—Uchiha Kitaro's twin brother—wanted to become a Marine?
"Mr. Uchiha Akira, please wait a moment. I don't have the authority to handle this. I need to report it to my superiors."
"Go ahead," Uchiha Akira replied calmly, nodding.
The marine bolted away as fast as his legs could carry him.

New World
Marine G-1 Branch
After Uchiha Kitaro sank Marineford, the Marine headquarters had relocated to the G-1 branch in the New World.
Fleet Admiral's Office
Fleet Admiral Sengoku had already submitted his resignation, which had been accepted. However, until a new Fleet Admiral was appointed, he was still serving as the acting admiral.
"This is Sengoku speaking."
"Report! Fleet Admiral Sengoku! In the Ilusia Kingdom of the West Blue, at the World Recruitment Center, someone claiming to be Uchiha Kitaro's twin brother, Uchiha Akira, has applied to join the Marines."
"What?!"
Sengoku's expression darkened at the mention of Uchiha Kitaro.
That name was a constant source of frustration for him, a nightmare he couldn't escape.
"Repeat that," Sengoku demanded.
"Yes, Fleet Admiral! A man claiming to be Uchiha Kitaro's twin brother, Uchiha Akira, has applied to join the Marines. What should we do?"
Sengoku's brows furrowed deeply. "Uchiha Kitaro's twin brother? Uchiha Akira?"
"Yes, sir. That's what he said."
"Are you certain it's not Uchiha Kitaro in disguise?"
"Well... I can't be sure. The only differences are his hair color, which is silver, and his attire. He also seems to have a completely different demeanor."
Hair color and clothing could be easily altered—nothing definitive.
If it truly was Uchiha Kitaro in disguise, what could his motive be? Infiltrating the Marines? Planting a spy?
That man defied conventional understanding. Young yet terrifyingly cunning, Uchiha Kitaro was always several steps ahead. Sengoku suspected that even Blackbeard acquiring Whitebeard's Devil Fruit was part of his plan.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, what should we do?"
Sengoku pondered for a long moment before replying, "Approve it."
"Understood!"
His decision was based on the possibility that Uchiha Akira might genuinely be Uchiha Kitaro's twin. The Uchiha clan was shrouded in mystery, and no one truly knew its secrets.
If this man truly was Uchiha Akira, why would he join the Marines? Only by meeting him at Marine headquarters could these questions be answered.
Even if it was Uchiha Kitaro in disguise, there was little the Marines could do to stop him.
"Well," Sengoku muttered with a sigh, "I'll leave the real headaches to the next Fleet Admiral."
