Chapter 67: ChainReaction Chaos
The Thousand Sunny sailed smoothly over the calm seas as the Straw Hats enjoyed their day. A peaceful afternoon, perfect for a little relaxation, was exactly what everyone needed. That is, until a simple accident escalated into a chaotic series of events that would leave everyone sore and laughing for hours.
Kikidori, ever the klutz, had been enjoying a fresh, juicy lemon that Nami had handed him. "A bit of vitamin C," she said, tossing him the fruit as she meticulously counted her treasure in the corner. The lemon, bright yellow and firm, looked like a symbol of healthy refreshment. But of course, Kikidori being Kikidori, somehow managed to create a disaster with it.
He was just about to squeeze the lemon into his mouth when—BOOM!—the fruit slipped out of his hand, and the juice splashed right into his eyes.
"Aaaaahhh!!" Kikidori yelped, grabbing at his face and stumbling back in a panic, his arms flailing around like a windmill. "Why does everything bad happen to me?!" he cried out, trying to rub the stinging juice out of his eyes.
The rest of the crew watched in a mixture of concern and amusement. It wasn't the first time Kikidori had gotten into some sort of mishap, and somehow, everyone expected this to be another of his endless accidents. But it was Usopp who couldn't hold it in.
"HAH! That's the funniest thing I've seen all day!" Usopp burst out, laughing uncontrollably, his hands clutching his stomach as he rolled on the ground. "You—you're a walking disaster, Kikidori!"
Kikidori, still blinded and disoriented, couldn't see what was happening, but he could hear Usopp's loud laughter echoing all around him. That was until Usopp's laughter caused him to lose his balance and, without warning, fall backward.
"Wha—?!" Usopp shouted in a split second of panic, tumbling over and crashing into Nami, who was standing nearby with a scowl, trying to ignore the chaos.
"YAAAH!" Nami shrieked as Usopp's body collided with hers, sending her sprawling to the ground, landing on all fours right in front of none other than Sanji.
Sanji, whose senses were always at the ready for anything remotely related to beauty, immediately perked up at the sight. His eyes sparkled with heart-shaped pupils as he gazed down at Nami. "Ahhhh, Nami-swan, you've fallen from heaven," he sighed, almost hypnotized by her presence on the ground.
Nami's face turned bright red with anger. She slapped her palm against the deck, propelling herself upright in one swift movement. "You... pervert!" she yelled, her fist landing squarely on Sanji's face.
Sanji was sent tumbling backward, completely caught off guard, and, as if in slow motion, he crashed into Zoro, who had been lazily lounging against a barrel, arms crossed and eyes closed.
"What the hell, Love Cook?!" Zoro snapped, his sleep disturbed. He instinctively pushed Sanji off him, shoving him to the side. The force of the push made Sanji lose his balance even more, and his feet shot out from under him.
"Get off me!" Sanji shouted, his leg swinging up defensively as he kicked in the direction of Zoro, who had just enough time to duck, narrowly avoiding the kick.
Kikidori, now wiping the lemon juice from his eyes, had managed to regain his footing and was staggering to his feet. But as luck would have it, Sanji's wild kick caught Kikidori in the back, sending him flying straight into the air.
"AHHHHHHH!" Kikidori yelled, the momentum from the kick sending him flailing backward. He crashed into the side of the ship, bouncing off the railing and falling to the deck with a loud thud. "Ow... what the hell?!"
Ere'ana, seeing her friend go down, immediately rushed to try and catch him. She darted across the deck, reaching out with both arms, but just as she did, Kikidori landed like a sack of potatoes on the hard wood.
"Ow," Kikidori groaned, trying to push himself up, only to feel the weight of someone else landing right on top of him.
Luffy, who had been observing the chaos unfold with wide eyes, decided to slide down the figurehead of the ship to lend a hand. "I'm coming, guys!" he shouted, running down the figurehead with all the enthusiasm of a kid playing a game. But in his rush, he accidentally bumped into Brook, who was walking nearby, carrying a bucket.
"Whoa! Not my fault!" Brook shouted as he was sent stumbling, arms flailing, before landing on the deck with a loud *THUD.*
"Woah!" Franky yelled, barely managing to catch himself on a nearby barrel. But he was too late—he was sent off balance and knocked into Franky, who landed hard on top of Kikidori once again.
"Ow! Stop it, you guys!" Kikidori groaned, feeling the weight of Franky crushing him.
Meanwhile, the rest of the crew was stuck in a series of unfortunate events. Robin tripped over Kikidori's sprawled-out form as she tried to step forward, and in doing so, her fall caused a chain reaction that sent her tumbling into Raiko, who had been casually walking past.
Raiko, feeling the impact of Robin crashing into him, lost his balance and stumbled backward into Jinbei, who was standing nearby, just as the fish-man was about to take a step forward. Jinbei, now being thrown off balance, fell over and landed right on top of Kikidori, his massive frame adding even more weight.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Kikidori screamed once more, trapped beneath the weight of everyone's bodies. He couldn't help but groan in disbelief. "WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME?!"
Jinbei, trying to get up, accidentally knocked over Franky, who had finally gotten up from his earlier crash, and—like some kind of absurd domino effect—Franky slipped right on the lemon juice, which was still on the deck from Kikidori's earlier accident.
"Noooooo!" Franky shouted as he slipped on the lemon juice and went crashing down again, landing directly on top of Kikidori, once again.
The crew was a mess of tangled bodies, laughter, and frustration as everyone slowly started picking themselves up off the floor. Luffy, wiping away tears of laughter, finally managed to stand and look at the wreckage they'd created.
"Okay, okay, I think we've had enough chaos for today," Luffy said between fits of laughter. "But seriously, Kikidori, give a man a break!"
Kikidori, barely able to move from the pile of people on top of him, sighed dramatically, his voice muffled. "I swear... if anyone asks me to.....EAT A LEMON AGAIN... I'm quitting."
The entire crew burst into laughter once again, while Kikidori groaned.
