Open a Clinic to Cultivate Myself

Chapter 83 - With only a very Thin Margin

Chapter 83 With only a very Thin Margin
The eight special police were indeed killed, their bodies hidden in a storage room. They were all young. Eight lives were gone, never to return.

Ning Tao made a deep bow to the bodies of the eight special police, then closed the door and went back to the large experimental zone.

The communications jamming devices in the large experimental zone had been turned off and the bomb had been removed. Jiang Hao’s speed surprised Ning Tao and made him more aware of her secret as a secret agent. Every agent was an all-purpose soldier, capable of both skydiving and sea diving. Ning Tao thought Jiang Hao was probably one of those all-powerful soldiers.

Jiang Hao set aside the wire cutters and completely relaxed from the strain. She said to Ning Tao, “If we had failed and that guy had pressed the trigger button, this lab would have been blown up.”

Ning Tao was still traumatized from the near-death experience. “Then why did you defuse the bomb without waiting for the bomb disposal experts?”

“I’m a bomb disposal expert myself. Why should I wait for someone else? Every second this bomb is there we are in danger,” Jiang Hao replied. Suddenly she remembered something, and added, “Have you found them? Are they…”

Ning Tao’s face suddenly darkened. “They all died.”

Jiang Hao looked up at the ceiling and whispered, “Good bye, forever, guys.”

The peaceful life we lived credited to some dedicated people, such as Jiang Hao, those eight special police who died, and millions of people like them.

Ning Tao removed the anesthetic needle from Lin Qinghua’s neck, but Lin Qinghua didn’t wake up immediately. Ning Tao could actually wake him up with a little spiritual power, but he didn’t do that. If Lin Qinghua was suddenly awakened, stimulated by such a chaotic environment and show the face of the new demon, it would be bad.

Ning Tao pushed Lin Qinghua and the chair he sitting into the office.

All the computer hard drives in the office were taken down, and books and materials were scattered all over the floor. It was not hard to guess the purpose of the special forces unite—they wanted to take Lin Qinghua and what they thought was important in this lab.

After a moment of silence, Jiang Hao made a phone call and walked into Lin Qinghua’s office. Taking a glance at the cluttered office, she said, “I’ve called someone over. This place is out of the way. I reckon it’ll be some time before they get there.”

“Should I leave first? There is no matter for me here,” Ning Tao stated.

Jiang Hao rolled her eyes at him and said, “So many people have died here. Your footprints are all over the battlefield, and those militants were almost killed by you. Is it too casual for you to leave? No, you must stay. I’ll send you back when you’ve finished statement.”

Ning Tao nodded. He really couldn’t be that casual.

Jiang Hao added, “It’s a pity there’s no one left alive, or we could get something of value out of the interrogation.” Then she looked over at Ning Tao’s face, and her mouth cracked into a smile. “It’s all because you’re a good shot. You shot that guy in the head, and he immediately died.”

Ning Tao gave a wry smile and said, “Is it funny to make fun of me like this?”

Jiang Hao went over to the couch and said, “In fact it’s pretty impressive that you did it the first time you shot a gun. Come to me when you’re free, and I’ll teach you how to shoot. I’m sure you’ll be a sharp shooter.”

Ning Tao shook his head and said, “I’m a doctor. Why should I learn to shoot?”

As a practitioner, he didn’t need to practice marksmanship. What he needed was to constantly improve his spiritual power and learn to use higher spiritual power, such as magic arts. Then, why did he need marksmanship?

After this battle, he also had a new understanding of himself. Although he was a practitioner and had spiritual power to protect himself, his spiritual power was far from being able to resist bullets for the time being. His spiritual power was hard to defend against attacks that were fast and applied to a small point, such as attacks from knives, daggers, splinters of wood and glass. He had to be careful not to get hurt by these things in the future fight.

Just as Ning Tao was thinking about this, Jiang Hao walked to the couch, suddenly grabbed the hem of her T-shirt, raised her hands, and pulled the bloody T-shirt off her body.

Ning Tao’s eyes moved uncontrollably to her and froze. Why did she suddenly strip off?

Then Jiang Hao lay prone on the couch, with only a flesh-colored bra around her upper body. It was not only her slender, muscular waist that was exposed to the air, but also the vast expanse of white, delicate skin, and the splinters of wood and glass that pierced her back. Some of the wounds were still bleeding.

“Have you seen enough? When you’ve seen enough, come and help me with the wound,” Jiang Hao stated.

Ning Tao came to his senses. He quickly found a first-aid kit and treated Jiang Hao for the cut on her back. He took a bottle of medical alcohol from the first-aid kit and poured it on her back.

“Ahh!” Jiang Hao groaned, clutching the leather cover of the couch with both hands and a pained look on her face.

The pain of alcohol and wounds were not something one could bear with courage.

After sterilizing, Ning Tao grabbed a glass fragment with tweezers and pulled it up.

“Hiss…” Jiang Hao’s brows drew together in pain.

“You’re not afraid of death, but you’re afraid of pain?” Ning Tao teased with a smile.

Jiang Hao glared back at him and quipped, “How dare you make fun of me? Who threw up just now?”

Using tweezers, Ning Tao picked up an alcohol swab and placed it on one of Jiang Hao’s untreated wounds, near her hip, in the middle of the “Y” line. When the swab was placed there, it stood out against a black elastic band, like a rabbit’s small tail.

Distressed, Jiang Hao glanced back, her beautiful eyes almost bursting with fire. “You did it on purpose, didn’t you?” she asked, gnashing her teeth.

“I’m healing your wound. How could you put me in the wrong? Do you believe me to make you painful again?”

“Don’t you dare do this to me? Then do it, do it!” Jiang Hao snapped viciously.

Ning Tao couldn’t answer for a moment.

As soon as all her wounds were taken care of, Jiang Hao forced Ning Tao onto the couch to deal with the wound before she even put on her T-shirt. To her surprise, she saw a clean back. Although Ning Tao had some small cuts on his back that had been punctured with wood splinters and glass, he was free of wood splinters and glass splinters, and his wound showed signs of scarring.

“My back got pretty bad. How come yours is okay?” Jiang Hao asked in surprise.

Ning Tao took the opportunity to sit up on the couch and replied, “I’ve been practicing martial arts since I was a kid. I’ve got plenty of padding, and the little injury is nothing to me. You needn’t help me with the wound. Just put on your clothes.”

It was his spiritual power that pushed the splinters of wood and glass that stuck to his back out of the wound. His spiritual power was the special spiritual power of a born go-between of good and evil, with healing powers. If his spiritual power couldn’t even cure this small wound on his body, what kind of special spiritual power was it?

However, he couldn’t tell Jiang Hao this secret.

Also, Jiang Hao, who wore only a flesh-colored bra on her upper body, annoyed him a lot. Her large breasts, her pale lower abdomen with clearly visible eight-piece abs, and her inverted splay crotch line seemed to tempt him to do something passionate.

To make matters worse, he suddenly recalled his first kiss that Jiang Hao stole, and felt that there was still a trace of her scent on his lips.

Jiang Hao suddenly fell silent, looking at Ning Tao with tender eyes.

When their eyes met, a strange magnetic field was created between them.

Their relationship seemed to have changed imperceptibly, because of the “waltz” on the battlefield and that sudden first kiss.

Jiang Hao didn’t say anything, but her body leaned over Ning Tao on the couch…

Ning Tao got inexplicably nervous. “Well, come to think of it, the mercenary killer Qiu Meng said his employer was an American named Nicholas Conway. Could these militants have been sent by the man named Nicholas Conway?”

Jiang Hao’s hands were propped up on the back of the couch behind Ning Tao, forming a “couch-bam”.

Ning Tao pushed his back against the couch hard, but Jiang Hao’s heavy breasts still “glared” at him aggressively, like the headlights of a car with distance lights on, making him look away.

“I thought of it, but I don’t want to talk about it right now,” Jiang Hao replied.

“Then what do you want to talk about?”

“Don’t talk.”

Ning Tao fell into a silence.

“Umm!” A voice suddenly sounded in the hormone-filled space.

Jiang Hao, who was about to put her weight on Ning Tao, scrambled up from the couch, grabbed her T-shirt that was on the couch and put it on.

The moan came from Lin Qinghua. He woke up.

“I… You…” Lin Qinghua looked at Jiang Hao and Ning Tao in the office, his eyes full of surprise. He tried in vain to remember what had happened. He could only recall what had happened before he was put under the anaesthetic, and had no idea what had happened later.

“You talk, I’ll go outside,” Jiang Hao said. Then she strode away, fiery blushing.

Lin Qinghua soon calmed down. When Jiang Hao left, he lowered his voice and asked, “Master, what happened? Why are you here?”

Ning Tao, somewhat helpless, said, “I’m not your master, don’t call me master. How many times do I have to repeat this?”

But Lin Qinghua replied, “It’s your business to refuse, and I respect your decision. But I’ll try to impress you. I’m sure one day you’ll be moved to accept me as a disciple. You don’t want me to call you master, and I dare not call you Tao or something. How about I call you boss?”

Ning Tao shrugged, speechless.

Lin Qinghua got up from his swivel chair. His body swayed, a little weightless. Then his eyes wandered out the door. A second later he let out a scream, “Ah–”

He saw the dead bodies lying on the ground, and the brains splattered like tofu pudding.

Ning Tao couldn’t help but shake his head and thought, “You want to be my disciple when you are so timid? Qing Zhui is a demon, and so are you, but are you too far from her? You’re not even qualified to sweep the floor as Qing Zhui nurses at the clinic.”

How would Lin Qinghua, a biology PhD and future chairman of Blueprint Biotechnology Company, feel if he knew what his revered “master” was thinking?
