Phoenix Reborn In One Piece

Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Robin-chan, Here We Come!

On Drum Island, Nami had just finished drawing the sea chart.

As Ryuen expected, the call from Marine Headquarters finally came through. It seemed they had figured out that Kasso and the others' defection was orchestrated by Ryuen and his group.

"Uh… (°ー°〃)"

"Is it Fleet Admiral Sengoku… or Vice Admiral Garp?" Ryuen glanced at the incoming call from Garp's number, unsure.

"It's me!"

"Ryuen, tell me, how exactly did you pull this off?" Sengoku's firm voice boomed through the Den Den Mushi.

"Oh, so it's Fleet Admiral Sengoku…"

"Looks like you've figured it out. That's right! It was us.

As for how we did it, I can't tell you that. All I can say is that they'll follow your orders.

To what extent? That's up to you, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, to determine," Ryuen replied calmly.

Sengoku didn't respond immediately. After a long pause, he asked, "Ryuen, will this kind of thing happen again in the future?"

"Hm…"

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, you're really smart. Maybe it will happen again. Who knows, right? Don't you think so, Fleet Admiral Sengoku?" Ryuen gave a deliberately ambiguous answer.

But Sengoku understood. He asked, "Ryuen, what exactly are you trying to achieve? Or rather, why are you doing this?"

"Aiya~"

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, you're so cautious. Why else would we do this? Of course, it's for Marine justice!

Don't forget, I still have a Marine Captain's appointment letter here.

So, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, trust us—we're on the same side! Justice will prevail!" Ryuen declared righteously.

After saying that, Ryuen hung up the call without waiting for a response.

The scene shifted to Marine Headquarters.

Everyone else had heard the conversation clearly. It seemed… Ryuen didn't sound wrong. After all, he really was a Marine Captain now!

But if they were to believe he did all this purely for justice… well, they had their doubts.

Sitting in his chair, Sengoku looked at the closed-eyed Den Den Mushi, gritted his teeth, and yelled:

"I believe him, my foot!"

---

Back on Drum Island, the rest of the Dream Team couldn't help but snicker at Ryuen's words to Sengoku.

"Ahem…"

"So, um, did I say something wrong just now?" Ryuen pinched his nose and asked.

"Hm—"

"You were absolutely right. We really are the righteous Marines now!

But Ryuen, will we have other identities in the future?" Leah asked innocently, her wide eyes fixed on him.

"Pirates? Revolutionaries?" Nojiko chimed in.

Currently, they held positions as World Government officials and Marines. Besides those, the only roles left were pirates or revolutionaries.

"Oh-ho—"

"You're really bold, even thinking about betraying the great World Government and Marine justice!" Ryuen pretended to look fierce as he spoke.

"Tch~"

"Truly great…"

"Truly just…"

In an instant, the others dispersed. Before leaving, they even threw disdainful glances at Ryuen, as if to mock him.

"Hey, hey, hey!"

"I'm the captain! What's with your attitude?" Ryuen shouted angrily at their retreating figures.

"*Sigh…* ε=(′ο`*)))"

"This crew is getting harder to manage. One by one, they've all become so sly," Ryuen sighed before quickly catching up with the group.

---

The events on Drum Island are over. There's nothing much to see here—everything is covered in white.

Most importantly, the streets feel lifeless, all thanks to King Wapol.

Through his own actions, he turned Drum Island from a wealthy nation into a poor one.

You should know that Drum Island used to be a world-renowned medical powerhouse. Back when the doctors hadn't been driven away, nobles often came here.

"Chopper!"

"Are you really not coming with us? Sailing is so much fun, you know?" Before leaving, Leah and the other women tried to coax Chopper to come along.

"Ah!!"

"No!"

"Dr. Kureha, help me…" Chopper looked at Leah and the others as if he had seen something terrifying and immediately ran away in fear.

"Hehehehe—"

"Don't scare him. He's not going with you. But still, I'm very grateful for everything you've done for Drum Island," Dr. Kureha said sincerely.

"What a pity. He's just a little reindeer—he could've been reserve food," Anya said, licking her lips as she looked up at Chopper, who was hiding awkwardly at the top of the stairs.

"Ah!!!"

"So scary! A devil! Don't eat me! Dr. Kureha, save me…" Chopper screamed in fear and dashed back to his room, holding the door shut tightly.

"Hahahaha…"

"He's so adorable, but it's a shame he doesn't want to come with us," Daisy said regretfully.

Chopper's medical skills were impressive—she had seen them firsthand over the past two days.

"Alright, stop teasing Chopper. It's time for us to leave," Ryuen said, sounding exasperated.

With how frightened Chopper was by these women, he'd probably hide as soon as he saw them in the future.

"Hehehe…"

"Let's go, then. On to the next island!"

"Goodbye, Dr. Kureha!"

"Thank you for your guidance—your medical skills are truly amazing!"

"And Chopper, goodbye!"

…

With the log pose charged, the Dream Team said their goodbyes to Dr. Kureha and the others.

Dalton, leading the guards, escorted the crew to the port and stayed until their ship left. Only then did he walk back to Dr. Kureha.

He had made up his mind—he would take over Wapol's position and lead Drum Island!

—

The sea around Drum Island was harsh, with icy winds howling constantly. Maybe that's why the island's medical practices became so advanced.

The Dream Ship sailed through the cold wind, cutting across the waves that rippled outward.

"Nami~"

"The next island should be Alabasta in the Holy Town, right?" Nojiko asked, looking at Nami.

"That's right!"

"It's the island where Crocodile of the Seven Warlords of the Sea is!" Nami closed her book and said seriously.

"Tsk, tsk…"

"A Warlord of the Sea, and yet he's the secret leader of the criminal and assassination group Baroque Works," Nojiko teased.

"So what? The Seven Warlords have the legal right to plunder.

As long as they don't attack World Government member countries, the Marines won't care," Kuina said indifferently.

"Ryuen, what are you thinking about?" Anya asked, noticing Ryuen spacing out.

"Ryuen, I remember that Robin lady is in Alabasta too, right?" Before Ryuen could answer, Nami asked.

"Uh… ( ̄ェ ̄;)"

"Seems like it?" Ryuen answered with a somewhat evasive look.
