Chapter 30: 30. Mass Production Is Impossible
Advanced energy cube recipe.
Even if a finished product is placed in front of you to replicate, copying it might still be impossible.
So sometimes, it's better not to register it at all than to register it incorrectly.
After all, when creating advanced energy cube formulas, the ratios are crucial. A small error could result in a flawed formula.
Regarding Sophia's decision, Evan had no objections.
In any case, this energy cube formula belongs to her from now on.
She has the final say on how she wants to handle it.
"Up to you."
"This is yours anyway."
Sophia smiled and took out her phone.
"Evan, I'll contact my best friend and ask her to deliver everything you need."
"If all goes well, we can have everything delivered by this afternoon."
"Oh, and my best friend is an excellent Trainer."
"I'm sure she'll be very interested in your facility."
"Maybe you can even ask her to send over some Pokémon samples for you."
Sophia said this with excitement.
Maybe, it could really work.
Her best friend was incredibly strong, having reached the Elite level.
It seems she's currently training hard for the championship.
If she succeeds, she'll challenge her current Elite position in this year's national competition.
Evan was taken aback by her words.
"We'll talk later."
"Many things here are still a work in progress."
"Ordinary Pokémon are fine, but if high-level Pokémon come over, I won't have the proper space to train them."
Evan shook his head.
Very strong? That must mean really strong...
Keeping high-level Pokémon here?
I don't even have enough room to train them properly.
Even if she wanted to, I would have to decline.
Hearing Evan's response, Sophia paused, then nodded and dropped the topic.
After the contract was signed, Sophia handed the Ralts Poké Ball to Evan.
Next, Sophia began contacting her best friend, asking for help with the delivery of the necessary items and transferring the funds directly.
Meanwhile, Evan left the orphanage with Ralts in his arms and headed straight to the newly built breeding house.
Once there, he put Ralts down.
At that moment, Evan's Pikachu and Shiny Pidgeot were in the backyard.
Evan's backyard was large, with not only various fruit trees but also a huge lake.
Many wild Pokémon were playing in the lake at that time.
These wild Pokémon all called this place home.
The lake's water came from mountain springs, with several small rivers flowing together to form this lake.
The entire lake, therefore, was fed by pure mountain spring water.
Evan remembered how, in the past, the old dean would often come here to collect water.
The lake also had rivers that flowed outward, eventually reaching the sea.
But now, the lake belonged to him.
Evan put Ralts down, then pointed at Pikachu, who was resting under the shade of a nearby tree, and said:
"Ralts, play here for a while."
"I'll call you when it's time to eat."
"We'll start training tomorrow."
"For now, I'm going to prepare the energy cubes you'll need."
Hearing this, Ralts glanced up at him and nodded happily.
"Raa~lts!"
Got it!
With that, Ralts used Teleport to vanish from Evan's arms and reappeared right beside Pikachu.
Looking at the dozing electric mouse, a mischievous smile crept across Ralts' face. It used telekinesis to give Pikachu's cheeks a little squeeze.
Ralts didn't dare to touch Pikachu directly—it knew there could be some static backlash.
But even so, golden sparks started crackling from Pikachu's cheek pouches as Ralts kept up the telekinetic pinch.
Pikachu suddenly jolted awake.
"Pika!!"
(ΩДΩ)
Wide-eyed, Pikachu looked around frantically.
But the culprit was nowhere to be seen.
Ralts, now hiding behind a tree, stifled a giggle as Pikachu rubbed its cheeks in confusion, wondering who had disturbed its nap.
Then, Pikachu heard quiet laughter from behind the tree and turned around with a look of annoyance.
"Pika pika!"
"Raa~lts!"
Ralts grinned, looking entirely pleased with itself.
Seeing this, Pikachu huffed and immediately dashed forward, determined to get back at the little prankster.
The two Pokémon started playfully tussling under the tree.
In truth, Sophia's Ralts had a very lively personality, with a bit of a mischievous streak.
It was completely different from the usual shy, timid Ralts.
Most Ralts would never tease Pikachu like that, but this one seemed to relish a little harmless trouble.
I'll probably just watch from a distance.
After the two Pokémon got tired, they lay down under the tree to rest.
But soon, the peaceful atmosphere was interrupted by a group of children.
These little ones ran over after touring the newly built breeding house.
Seeing Pikachu and Ralts together, the kids eagerly gathered around, coaxing the two Pokémon into more playtime.
Perhaps, in the future, the Pokémon in the backyard would become regular playmates for these children from the orphanage.
Not long after the children and Pokémon started playing, Evan came over to call for help.
Upon hearing Evan's call, the older children hurried over.
They were going to start working now—to help Evan make energy cubes.
…
After finishing her conversation with her best friend, Sophia relayed all the necessary details and passed along Evan's address.
Once that was done, she got up and went out to find Evan.
At that moment, Evan was busy making energy cubes for Ralts.
As she stepped outside, Sophia heard Evan's voice and followed it, curious.
Soon, she found Evan working with a group of children.
Noticing her, Evan looked up briefly and said, "Your Ralts is over in the backyard."
"I'm starting to make the energy cubes for her now."
"If you want to find her, head to the backyard."
Sophia nodded but didn't leave right away.
Instead, she watched Evan with curious eyes and asked, "Evan, may I watch you work?"
She was genuinely curious about the energy cubes Evan was preparing and hoped to learn a bit more about the process.
Evan hesitated for a moment, then nodded. He didn't mind.
"That's fine," he said. "Just watch from the sidelines."
With that, Evan returned to his work.
He wasn't worried about his methods being copied—these energy cubes were crafted using Psychic powers.
Even with observation, it would be nearly impossible to replicate them, let alone produce them in large quantities.
