Pokemon : I Am A Breeder/Champion

Chapter 31: 31. Top-Tier Energy cubes

What Sophia saw next left her utterly perplexed.

Evan seemed to understand everything when it came to production, but what exactly had happened here?

Using Psychic to those juices? Use Psychic to stir them?

And why was white liquid being produced?

Yellow juice + blue juice = white?

Surely this had to be a joke.

She truly couldn't make sense of it.

Noticing her puzzled expression, Evan smiled and began to explain:

"If these two juices are mixed in a specific ratio and stirred using Psychic…"

"When Psychic energy is applied, a unique reaction occurs in the end."

"It transforms into the white juice you see now."

"This juice is also the primary ingredient for creating the next energy cube."

"And controlling the mental power is crucial. If you overuse it, this happens."

With that, Evan demonstrated for Sophia.

The mixture, which had initially looked the same, turned completely black after Evan used Psychic to stir it.

The sight left Sophia even more baffled.

"In other words, this type of energy cube can't be mass-produced?"

She quickly grasped the situation.

The current energy cube seemed entirely unsuited for large-scale production, didn't it? Were the conditions really this stringent?

Evan nodded.

"That's correct."

"It's impossible to mass-produce it."

"But its effectiveness is remarkable, isn't it?"

"The one designed to enhance Special Attack is far superior to those on the market."

"Although it's classified as an advanced energy cube, it's already approaching top-tier quality."

"With slight adjustments, it could be turned into a top-level energy cube."

"However, that would significantly increase production costs and require strict environmental conditions."

"So, for now, we'll settle for high-level cubes."

As he spoke, Evan continued working with practiced precision.

Hearing this, Sophia froze for a moment in astonishment.

"Evan, you can actually make top-level energy cubes?"

"And you even have a recipe for them!!"

This revelation shocked her to her core.

Could Evan really possess the formula for top-tier energy cubes?

That was incredible!

A master breeder—right here beside her?

The thought sent waves of admiration through Sophia as she stared at Evan, her eyes shining with awe.

How amazing!

Evan was taken aback by her reaction.

"Well, if you put it that way…"

"If there were an exam right now, I could easily obtain the master breeder certificate."

"But, not at the moment."

"It'll be quite some time before the next exam," Evan remarked casually.

He was now just one certification away from becoming a master breeder.

After hearing this, Sophia paused to think before asking, "So, Evan, can you sell me some of those top-tier energy cubes you've made?"

"I'd love to buy a few for my Pokémon. You have some food for Garchomp, don't you?"

Her eyes sparkled with anticipation as she made her request.

Evan raised an eyebrow at her question and replied, "You want some? Are you sure?"

"By the way, doesn't your family deal in energy cubes? Isn't it easier to just make them at home?"

The idea amused him. Sophia, the eldest daughter of one of the industry's giants, was asking him to customize energy cubes for her Pokémon? It seemed absurd.

"Wouldn't it be better to use your family's resources?"

Hearing this, Sophia immediately rolled her eyes at him.

"Just because my family sells energy cubes doesn't mean we have top-tier ones lying around, okay?" she shot back.

"Even though some of the breeders at the company can make advanced formulas, they're not always suitable."

"Most master breeders only have one or two formulas for top-level energy cubes, and those are usually for enhancing physical strength or just keeping Pokémon well-fed."

"They're not nearly as powerful as you'd imagine."

"And honestly, most people can't afford them. Only champions or Elite Trainers bother with customized energy cubes of that level."

"Even for master breeders, creating a top-level formula is a challenge. Most of them stick to advanced-level ones."

"Why do you think my family invests so much money in research every year? It's to help breeders develop better formulas!"

She sighed, feeling like Evan had completely misunderstood the reality of the industry.

Evan blinked, taking it all in.

"Is that so?" he muttered.

"I see now. They're that good, huh?"

Evan was visibly intrigued, absorbing the information like it was a new piece of experience to add to his repertoire.

Sophia noticed his thoughtful expression and couldn't help but roll her eyes again, this time in exasperation.

"Of course!" she replied helplessly.

"Do you think otherwise?"

"Sure, there are master breeders capable of producing top-tier energy cubes, but their work is already monopolized by Elite Trainers and champions."

She gave him a pointed look and added, "Evan, if people find out you can make top-tier energy cubes, you'll probably get swarmed—and kicked out of here!"

Sophia knew all too well the frenzy that would ensue if Evan's skills as a breeder were revealed. It would bring trainers from all over, desperate to buy his creations.

Evan shrugged, pondering for a moment before saying:

"If you want to customize those energy cubes, that's doable."

"It's for a Dragon type, right?"

"I can handle that."

"In fact, I can prepare a special energy cube specifically tailored for Ground and Dragon types—perfect for Garchomp."

"The effect will be that, with long-term use, it will comprehensively enhance all of Garchomp's attributes."

"It can even be considered exclusive food for Garchomp."

"What do you think?"

Hearing Evan's offer, Sophia's excitement was immediate.

"That would be amazing!"

"Evan, please prepare it for me!"

"I'll pay you right now!"

She hurriedly pulled out her phone, ready to transfer the payment without hesitation. Whatever it cost didn't matter to her at this moment. She just wanted to secure the deal.

Evan, seeing her enthusiasm, chuckled and waved a hand.

"Hold on, don't be so impatient."

"If I'm going to make those energy cubes, I don't currently have all the necessary materials."

"I'll need to do some serious shopping."

"And I'm not even sure if some of the required materials are available for purchase."

"So, we'll need to wait until I've confirmed I can source everything."

Hearing this, Sophia immediately responded, "What materials do you need, Evan? Just tell me."

"I'll have someone send them over right away."

Materials? That was no issue for her. If it was available on the market, she could get it. Even if it wasn't, her connections would ensure she could obtain it.

Evan's eyes lit up at her offer.

Well, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear.

After taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Evan began to list the requirements.

"Alright, take note."

"Some of these materials are unique to certain Pokémon."

"Only with these specific items can I produce the energy cubes."

"It might take some time to hunt them down on the market."

"But with your resources, I imagine it'll be much easier to acquire them."

Evan then looked at Sophia, a knowing smile on his face, ready to see how she would respond.
