Pokemon: I am Gary

Watching Ash leave, Gary Oak lounged in a chair at the botanical garden, fiddling with his coffee cup.

"Gary, aren't you leaving yet?" Erika had sent three bottles of special perfume for him, one to the Unova Battle Castle, one to Ice Island on Seven Islands, and one to Vermilion. Gary held a recent newspaper, leisurely reading it.

"Not in a hurry; let me see what's interesting nearby." While speedrunning is enjoyable, if Pokémon training is insufficient, setbacks are inevitable.

"If you're looking for training spots, I think you should check this out." Erika handed Gary a flyer.

"1 Fighting Tournament?" Gary grimaced. "Not going; the value is too low, and I don't have a Machoke waiting to evolve."

"Then continue challenging gyms?" Erika suggested.

"That's indeed the plan," Gary explained while resting his chin on his hand. "The Fuchsia Gym is deep in the mountains, so before that, I want to level up my Eevee and the others." Although Koga, the gym leader of the Fuchsia Gym, would soon take office as the new Elite Four in Johto, his gym battle lineup isn't very strong; one Scizor would be enough to handle it. Currently, Gary was focusing on his Charmeleon, who was silent but leveling up quickly. It must be said that having godly talent is impressive. Just one more push, and Charmeleon could evolve again. The leap from Charizard to Charmeleon is significant!

"Speaking of which, I need to feed this guy more." Gary decided that before his Charmeleon evolved, he would give it fire stones as treats every day! Outside of Celadon City, there are many Grass-type Pokémon gathered. On the way to Fuchsia City, they would pass through Gringey City, where many Electric-type Pokémon like Magnemite gather around the abandoned power plant.

"How about you go grind a bit?" Erika said helplessly.

"Great idea!" Gary's eyes lit up; Grass-type Pokémon are great; they burn in large numbers... "Let's settle on that; I'm off." Finding a target, Gary happily stood up to leave.

Erika quickly stopped him. "Wait a moment!"

"Is there something else?" Gary turned curiously.

"It's about Xiaoxue. She recently opened a massage parlor on Beauty Street and asked me to let you know that if you have time, you can visit," said Erika, hurrying.

"A massage, huh~" Gary nodded. This skill is indeed useful; letting his Eevee relax a bit would be good too. He agreed to this.

Once Gary walked away, Erika shook her head. "That kid, I wonder what she's thinking~" Beauty Street is in the center of Celadon City, filled with Pokémon beauty shops. The main business is making Pokémon look prettier. To this, Gary scoffed. Beauty comes from within; just adding some accessories or dyeing fur is merely an IQ tax.

Leisurely arriving at Xiaoxue's massage parlor, he pushed open the door. "Excuse me~" Upon entering, he froze. He saw Xiaoxue sitting on a swivel chair, crying with her head down while a blonde boy was frantically explaining something.

"Xiaoxue. Listen to me; the technology in Sinnoh is cutting-edge. Just come with me to Sinnoh," the blonde boy gestured wildly.

"No! I don't want to. I haven't graduated from Celadon University yet; I can't waste all these years of study! Xiaoxiang, just stay here. Please," she pleaded sadly.

"Um~ should I leave first?" asked Gary, feeling awkward.

"Ah! Professor Oak! You're here; sorry for making you wait," upon seeing him at the door, Xiaoxue's face flushed red as she stood up.

"Hey! Who are you? I have something to discuss with Xiaoxue; I'll come back for a massage later!" The blonde boy frowned at him.

"Shut up!" panicked, she grabbed his arm. "This is our university teacher; I invited him!"

"Tch! At this age, can he really be a teacher? You should've thought of a better excuse," he said impatiently as he pulled away from her grip and stepped towards Gary.

This blonde boy was clearly underdeveloped; even though he was eight or nine years older than Gary, he wasn't taller than him.

"I told you to get lost; didn't you understand?" he said arrogantly while looking up at him.

"Let me tell you: Xiaoxue is my girlfriend; she's going to Sinnoh with me soon. We're not afraid of you!" Xiaoxue's face turned pale as she shouted angrily at him.

"Stop messing around! I'm not going!"

"Hmph! I see you've been bewitched by this pretty boy; let me teach him a lesson!" As he spoke, he charged at Gary, fists raised.

Looking at the blonde boy in front of him, Gary's fists tightened and then loosened repeatedly until he finally couldn't hold back anymore.

Smack! He grabbed the blonde boy's head and kneed him upward sharply.

Bang! His knee slammed right into this idiot's nose as he sighed contentedly. "Ah~ refreshing."

"Ugh! You dare hit me? Do you believe I'll call the police!" The cowardly blonde boy sat down on the ground holding his nose with both hands.

"Professor Oak…!" Xiaoxue exclaimed in shock and was about to rush over to protect her boyfriend.

"You think it over; if you come over here, I'll just turn around and leave. This mess isn't my concern," said Gary, rolling his eyes.

Xiaoxue paused and didn't dare step forward. Thinking that later on, Brock would actually lose to such a wimpy blonde boy made his hands itch again.

With his left hand grabbing the blonde boy's collar, he swung his right hand for two big slaps.

"Tell me! Who did you say should get lost just now?" The blonde boy looked at him resentfully and arrogantly replied,

"I get it now; you're doing this for Xiaoxue, right? Dog couple! Have you two been together for long?"

"Hahaha! Let me tell you; first blood belongs to me! I've long been tired of her; you're just picking up my scraps!" Hearing what Xiaoxiang said made Xiaoxue feel like lightning struck her as she stood there dumbfounded.

She never expected that her beloved boyfriend for so long would turn out to be such a person! Feeling disdainful too, Gary coldly laughed as he looked at Xiaoxue with pity.

"So this is who you chose? Not gonna lie; your taste is quite poor." xue sat there pale-faced as tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably.

Ignoring her feelings, he tossed the blonde boy into a corner and waved his hand for his Charmeleon and Golduck to appear behind him.

"What's up, Gary?" Golduck looked curiously at the corner where the blonde boy was sitting.

"Nothing much; this guy provoked me—beat him!" Without hesitation, he pointed at the blonde boy.

"Oh? What's the process?" Golduck asked with interest through telepathy.

"Hmm~ let me think—smoke him out," said Gary dismissively as he waved his hand casually.

Smack! Charmeleon swung a bottle towards him with all its might!

Where did you even get that bottle from?! Golduck was more civilized about it—slapping repeatedly across his face instead.

Soon enough, this guy lay on the ground looking like a colorful pig head...

Looking at xue still dazed in shock, Gary shook his head. One who is pitiful must also have something hateful about them.

If she hadn't met him today, she might still fall into that blonde boy's arms later on.

"It seems there won't be any massage service today; I'll take my leave now.... Remember to call for Jenny to clean up," Gary kicked the blonde boy twice before leaving with Charmeleon and Golduck from the massage parlor.

Xiaoxue lifted her head and glared hatefully at the corner where the blonde boy was sitting.

"Hey~ Miss Jenny? I'm in my shop; someone tried to assault me but was defeated by a passing trainer who's currently here now." In front of Xiaoxiang now stood Gary—looking at this man who once sweet-talked her into submission—she gritted her teeth and raised her high heels... Smack!!

Chicken flies and eggs break!!

On another end, Gary had already left Celadon City. On an outdoor lawn, he rode his Arcanine, accompanied by Scizor and Charmeleon. Taking out some sweet honey stolen from Celadon University, Gary smiled expectantly: "Not leaving any behind~"

Charmeleon and Scizor grinned wickedly as they dove into some grass by the roadside. Soon enough, an unsuspecting Oddish approached following the sweet scent. With rustling sounds in the grass, Gary rode Arcanine along with Charmeleon and Scizor leaping into action simultaneously!

"The King's Judgment!!" In an instant flames surged forth!

Boom! The first victim fell without even seeing who attacked them!

Waving his hand Gary ordered: "Drag it away; keep waiting."

Scizor excitedly pulled Oddish away and tossed it into nearby grassland.

"Haha! This feels great! Since I've been rained on before—I'll tear all your umbrellas apart!!" Scizor roared within its heart while Charmeleon calmly continued lurking in the grass waiting for its next experience package...
