Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

Today, Mew and her friends continue on their journey to Goldenrod City for Mew's next gym battle. But first, they decide to stop at a Pokemon Center, mainly to talk to Professor Oak about their New Pokemon they have kept after the Pokemon Swap Meet episode.

Professor Oak is very excited, "Oh my. This is quite a find you got, and they all look like very healthy Pokemon."

"They sure are, my Sprigatito is very sweet," Mew says.

"And my Quaxly is so cute," Jen says.

"Wiglett looks amazing," Misty says.

"My Fuecoco is cool," Tomo says.

"And my Klawf looks interesting," Brock says.

"So do you know where these Pokemon came from?" Misty asks.

"I actually do," Professor Oak answers, "It's a recent region that was discovered, and there are so many different Pokemon we haven't seen. It's called the Paldea Region. And I read up on the Pokemon you have. Mew, Tomo, and Jen have the starter Pokemon from the region. Mew's Sprigatito is a Grass Type. Tomo's Fuecoco is a Fire Type. And Jen's Quaxly is a Water Type."

"That's cool," Tomo says.

"We got the Starter Pokemons," Jen says.

"But what about Misty and Brocks?" Mew asks.

"Well, Misty's Wiglet is a Water Type, and Brock Klawf is a Rock Type," Professor Oak says.

Then remember, "In fact, there's a special recent update about Paladea Region's information and Pokemon data. Slide your Pokedex in the slot and I'll activate the date," Professor Oak says.

"Sure," Mew says.

She then does just that, and the Pokedex downloads the data. Once the download completes, it ejects and Mew takes it out.

"Thanks Professor, and by the way, you don't mind if some of my Pokemon stay with you. I'm sure they'll like to get some rest, and few I like to tag with me for a while," Mew says.

"Sure, I don't mind at all," Professor Oak says.

Sometime later, after switching her Pokemon, she has Nurse Joy to give them physical exams.

She soon returns and says, "Yes, they're in excellent condition, Mew. You've obviously been taking very good care of them all."

And Brock goes to romance-ville, "I sure have. Now that you've examined the Pokemon, maybe you could examine me, too, Nurse Joy." and take Joy's hand, "I've suddenly been overcome by a feeling in my heart that only you can cure."

"Oh, that reminds me! I have to examine the Pokemon competing in the Fire and Rescue Grand Prix! See ya!" Nurse Joy quickly says, and walks away.

Brock calls out, "Wait, don't go."

"Fire and Rescue Grand Prix?" Tomo says, confused.

Then Jen wonders, "I wonder what that could be."

Later, Mew and the others are at the stadium to where they look at the poster on the outside, advertising the competition.

Misty is amazed, "Wow! The Grand Prix must be some kind of firefighting competition for Pokemon."

"Yeah, and all those Pokémon we saw going into the stadium must be the teams that are here to battle it out," Brock says.

Mew then wonders, "Maybe I should sign up. It will be a good way to train my water Pokemon."

"That might be a good idea," Brock says.

"Let's see, you have Squirtle, Wartortle, Shellos, Omanyte, Kabuto, Gyarados, two Slowpoke, Feebas, Lapras, and uh, who else," Misty names off.

Suddenly, out of the Pokeball and little Lugia, and lets out a happy cry.

"Lugia!" Mew says, surprised.

"What are you doing out?" Jen asks.

Lugia turns to Mew and happily cries.

"I think Lugia wants to join the competition," Misty says.

Mew giggles and pet Lugia, "That's nice Lugia, but I don't think you're to be in a competition or a battle yet."

Lugia feels a bit disappointed, but nods in reply with understanding.

Suddenly a familiar voice says, "Well, if it isn't my old friend."

Everyone turns to see Captain Aiden and the Wartortle Team.

"Aiden!" Everyone, but Brock says in surprise.

Team Wartortle and Aiden salute, and Aiden says, "At your service, everyone. It's great to see you again."

"Yes sir!" Mew says as she Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle salute.

Lugia decides to follow.

Brock works at the Wartortle in amazement, "Wow! Those Wartortle look like they've been really well-trained!"

"Of course they have, Brock. How would you expect them to make it onto Team Wartortle if they weren't?" Misty says.

"What's Team Wartortle?" Brock asks.

Then Misty remembers, "I forgot, you weren't with us when we met them."

Then explains, "Team Wartortle's the best firefighting force in the Orange Islands. When we were there, Mew's Squirtle worked out with them and helped to put out a humongous fire."

"Sounds pretty impressive," Brock says, impressed

Mew walks to Aiden and asks, "Did Team Wartortle ever compete in the Fire and Rescue Grand Prix before?"

"We're the returning champions," Aiden says.

Then Lead Wartortle and Squirtle shake.

Later, Mew and the others enter the training room, where the competing teams train. Mew is also doing some training as well. Her team are Squirtle, Wartortle and the two Slowpoke.

"I still can't believe they're letting you enter the Grand Prix on such short notice," Misty says, surprised.

And Mew says, "Captain Aiden got us in with one phone call to the bigwigs in charge."

"All I had to do was assure the Grand Prix officials that your Pokemon have proved themselves to be skilled firefighters in the past and they gave you the okay," Aiden says.

"You lucked out, Mew. But I think it's gonna take a lot more than just luck to win this competition," Brock says, "There's Vaporeon, and Golduck teams. And even Marill, and Quagsire teams. And none of them look like they'll be happy with second place."

"Yeah, well, my reason is to help my Pokemon train hard, even if we didn't win. We're going to do our very best," Mew says.

Then turns to her team, "Right everyone."

Squirtle, Wartortle, and the two Slowpoke nod their heads. Just then, Squirtle looks over and sees none other than Officer Jenny and the Squirtle Squad.

Mew notices too, "It's your old friends from the Squirtle Squad!"

Jenny says to the Squirtle Squad, "Okay, this is our last practice." and notices the glum look on their faces, "Hey, what's the matter with all of you?"

All the members of the squad look tired, nervous, and bummed.

"Now, don't you worry. All you have to do is pull together and work as a team. I know you'll do just fine," Jenny says.

The squad replies, planning to do their best. They soon turn their heads to see Mew's Squirtle, their old leader, running towards them. The Squirtle Squad quickly reunite with each other.

Mew walks over, "Hey, how are ya, Officer Jenny?"

"It's nice to see you again," Misty says.

Officer Jenny happily says, "It's nice to see all of you again, too. It's been quite a while, hasn't it? The last time we met, these little guys caused you quite a bit of trouble."

"I remember," Mew says.

Brock says in tears, "I can't tell you how happy it makes my heart that you haven't forgotten me, Officer Jenny."

"How could I ever forget you all? It was thanks to you that our gang of delinquent Squirtle became the best firefighting squad our town's ever seen," Jenny says.

Tomo soon notices a shy Squirtle hiding behind Jenny.

"Who's that?" Tomo asks.

Jenny looks down to see the Squirtle, "Oh, this is a little trainee squirtle that likes to hang out with the Squirtle Squad. I've decided to bring her to the competition to see them in action."

Tomo kneels to Squirtle and gently waves, "Hello, it's nice to meet you."

The Squritle shyly nods with a small smile.

"That Squirtle is kind of shy, huh," Misty says.

"She is," Jenny says.

Soon, Aiden walks over to her, "Officer, it's a pleasure to finally meet the leader of the infamous Squirtle Squad.

"You must be…" Jenn says in surprise, then salutes, "I'm Officer Jenny."

Aiden salutes, "Captain Aiden."

Team Wartortle salutes.

"So this is the Team Wartortle that won last year's grand prix," Jenn says.

The Squirtle Squad tries to salute, but though incorrectly and feel embarrassed in front of their leader.

Jenny continues, "I've heard wonderful things about you and Team Wartortle, Captain Aiden."

"I'm looking forward to our matchup," Aiden says.

"So am I, Captain," Jenny says.

Then the two shake hands.

Unknown to everyone, Team Rocket is spying from outside the training room,

"Well, look what we have here," Meowth says.

And James says, "The twerp's Pokemon surrounded by all sorts of very valuable water Pokémon."

"If we can crash the big Fire and Rescue Grand Prix, we can steal Pikachu, Eevee, and all the other Pokémon, too," James says.

And James says, "Then we can gives some to the boss, keep a few for ourselves, and sell all the rest!"

"Dis is one caper I can really get fired up over," Meowth says.

"Well, shall we get going, team?" Jessie replies.

James and Meowth say," Yes, Jessie!"

Inside, the Squirtle Squad are catching up as everyone watches.

"The Squirtles sure are having fun together, aren't they?" Mew says.

Pikachu and Eevee happily agrees

"It's good to see old friends again, "Aiden says, and the lead agrees.

(The lead Wartortle agrees)

Jenny turns to Aiden, "Would it be alright with you if the Squirtle Squad shared the practice session with your Wartortle?"

"Sure. Let's hit the target range," Aiden says.

Soon, both teams are at the target range, and ready to go. As soon as the light goes off, signaling the teams to start practicing.

Aiden calls out, "Focus on each target! Listen to your leader and work together!"

The Wartortle Team followed their commander's command and fire and hit two targets with ease. However, the Squirtle Squad misses their target.

"Get it together, guys!" Jen says.

And Mew asks, "Where's that Squirtle spirit?!"

"They're not doing very well, are they?" Misty asks.

Brock says, "It's just a warmup, but they're probably a little bit intimidated being alongside the championship team."

"Just look at them, Squirtle. They're not even close to the targets," Mew says.

Squirtle decides to take charge and walk to his teammates

"Where're you going?" Mew asks.

Then Squirtle steps on each of their tails, and they all fire at one target at once.

Jen cheers, "Alright!"

"That's it! Keep it up, guys!" Jenn happily says.

Then Mew's Squirtle calls out, "Squirtle! Squirt!" (Far right target!)

The Squirtle Squad hit the turrets as far right easily, followed by the other targets in range. Soon, Team Wartortle hit their last target, followed by the Squirtle Squad

"That's the way!" Mew happily says.

Soon, Time's up.

Aiden comments, "That was quite an impressive showing all around."

The leader agrees, and Mew's Squritle and his squad concur.

"I guess it doesn't matter how long the old gang's been apart, the leader is still the leader," Brock says.

Mew nods, "Yeah. And they sure need a leader."

Later, the competition is underway.

Announcer: And that was After School Teatime! Let's give them a big hand! And now...Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Pokemon Fire and Rescue Grand Prix! Teams of four Pokémon have come here today from far and wide to test their firefighting skills in red hot competition!

Soon, two houses are on fire.

Announcer: First up, the house of fire contest, with the Muk team competing against a late entry, a mixed team led by Pallet Town's Mew!

"Is Team Mew ready?" Mew asks.

The Water Pokemon confirms.

Misty cheers, "Come on, guys! Get in there and show those Muk why water Pokemon totally rule!"

The Referee announces, "Begin, now!"

Soon, Squirtle, Wartortle, and the two Slowpoke spray Water Gun all over the burning house

Mew cheers, "That's it, team! Keep pouring it on!"

The team continues to put the fire out as fast as they can. However, Team Muk smothers the fiery remains with their bodies, putting it out.

The referee announces, "The match is over! The Muk team has extinguished the fire!"

Seeing that they lost, Mew says, "Oh well. I guess they put it out faster than we did."

Squirtle nods in reply.

Later on.

Announcer: Next up, a battle featuring last year's second place winners, the Golduck team! Today, they're squaring off against the Squirtle Squad, making their first appearance at the Grand Prix.

Mew calls out, "Okay, Squirtle Squad, you gotta get out there and win this one!"

Pikachu and Eevee cheer, "Pika!/Eevee! (Come on!)

Misty notices the look on Aiden's face, and asks, "What's the matter, Aiden? You sound a little worried."

"Well, I'm just concerned that the pressure of the competition may break their concentration," Aidne says.

Soon, the Squirtle Squad is getting nervous.

Jenny calls out, "Now, don't be nervous. Just do what you did at the target range."

"Go!" The referee announces.

Announcer: And the competition is underway! The mighty Golduck team comes out spraying!

The Golduck Team gets around the house and fires Water Gun on four sides.

Announcer: But on the other side, the Squirtle Squad appears to be stalled.

Jenny turns to the Squad, "Come on, squad!"

The Squirtle Squad finally charges into the fray, but stumble into a pile.

Announcer: The challengers are in a heap of trouble! They haven't even begun to fight!

Mew calls out, "Get up, guys!"

"You can do it!" Misty cheers

The Squirtle Squad gets up.

Jenny calls out, "Fire your Water Gun, now!"

And they begin to douse the fire.

Announcer: And the Squirtle Squad finally springs into action! They're squirting hard, but they don't seem to have a serious game plan! Meanwhile, the Golduck team's coordinated offense is getting the job done! If someone doesn't light a fire under the Squirtle Squad, their efforts will go down the drain!

Mew calls out, "Squirtle Squad! You can do better than that!"

Squirtle finally decides to take charge.

"Squirtle!" Mew says and follows.

Pikachu and Eevee do as well.

Jen calls out, "Be careful!"

Jenny continues to call out, "Work together! Aim for one place at a time!" But they're not listening, "It's no use! The Squirtle aren't listening to me!"

"Pikachu, you better use your Thunder Shock attack to get their attention," Mew says.

And Pikachu does just that, getting the Squad's attention.

Mew calls out, "Look, you're never gonna win this thing if you don't listen to your leader!"

Then turns to her Squritle, "They need you, Squirtle."

Squirtle agrees. And then instruct his Squirtle Squad to combine their Water Gun attack at the flames. The Squad do just that, and at multiple sides of the house.

Announcer: And the soggy Squirtle Squad suddenly pours on the pressure! What a turn around! Talk about teamwork!

The fire is nearly out.

Mew cheers, "You're doing great! Keep it up!"

Pikachu and Eevee cheers.

"They're catching up to the Golduck team!" Jenny happily says.

Announcer: This match is really heating up! As soon as the Squirtle Squad poured on the power, the Golduck team picked up the pace! This is a real match, folks!

It's coming close, but the Squirtle Squad is able to put out the fire first.

The referee announces, "The match is ended! The Squirtle Squad wins it!"

Announcer: The Squirtle Squad wins a thrilling come-from-behind victory!

"They did it!" Mew cheers.

Then Jenny says, "You're Squirtle's a natural born leader, Mew."

Suddenly, the charred remains of the Squirtle Squad's house reignites, shocking everyone.

Announcer: Hold it, folks! Something's happening!

And Suddenly, from underneath the stadium, Team Rocket emerges in a Fire extinguisher-looking robot. And they begin the motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble, we're three red-hot names!

James:

And make it double, we may burst into flames!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now, or prepare for a fire fight!

Meowth:

That's right!

"Team Rocket!" Mew calls out.

And then Jenny yells, "You're under arrest for disturbing a public event!"

"You better keep your cool, Officer, because we're gonna turn up the heat," Jessie says.

And then Meowth says, "Speakin of heat, wait till you see da sparks fly when da boiners get warmed up on dis baby!"

Team Rocket hop inside the cockpit of the robot.

"We hope you'll enjoy our new super weapon!" James says.

Then Jessie says, "I just love the name."

"Fire up the Torcher-Scorcher!" Meowth calls out.

"Roger!" James says.

Soon the top comes down and the nozzle arms start spraying fire.

Misty, Brock, and Jen cry out, "Do something!"

"Come on! We gotta save em!" Aiden says.

As Team Rocket laugh maniacally Aiden and Team Wartortle jump in. With a blow of Aiden's whistle, they launched a combined Water Gun that pushes the fire back.

"We're gonna have to do dis da charred way," Meowth says.

Then Jessie says, "Let's blast em, James."

"I believe that's my cue, to barbeque!" James says, and turns up the heat.

The flames grow stronger and push the combined Water Gun back. Soon, the other Pokemon teams and their trainers rush in to help.

Seeing them coming, Jessie says, "We've got the Pokemon just where we want them."

"Get ready, Meowth!" James says.

"Okay! Let's snatch em all up!" Meowth says, and presses a button.

Soon, multiple nets launch and snag the charging Pokemon, including Team Wartortle, Pikachu, and Eevee.

"Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew cries out.

The Female Squirtle panics and can't move as the net flies to her.

"Look out!" Tomo calls out, and rescues Squirtle in the nick of time.

Tomo asks, "Are you okay?"

The Female Squirtle looks at Tomo, and begins to blush as she nods her head.

"We've got Pikachu and Eevee!" Jessie says.

"And the water Pokémon, too!" James says.

"Hang on, Pikachu, I'm coming to help you! "Mew says, but is stopped by Jenny.

Jenny shouts, "Look out!"

Jenny pulls Mew out of the way before she's fried. Soon, Team Rocket is going crazy.

Announcer: The robot is on a red-hot rampage! The tournament is in chaos! What do we do?!

"We've got to do something!" Aiden says.

"And we've gotta do it right now!" Jen says.

Mew turns to Squirtle, "Alright, Squirtle, the only way to save those Pokemon is if we stop Team Rocket with the Squirtle Squad. And you gotta be their leader."

Squrtile agrees and huddles up with its gang. Squirtle also asks Mew's Wartortle for extra firepower. Then they come up with a game plan. And once they do, they're put into action. The Squirtle Squad, including Mew's Squirtle, put on their Sunglasses. Soon, all the Squirtles, including Wartortle begin to spray all over the robot with Water Gun.

"I think we should get this over with right now," Jessie says.

"Guess we better, step on it," James says.

The robot lifts a foot, but Squritle warn his Squad of the danger, and they all dodge

"It's time to put our foot down!" Meowth says.

The robot tries again with the other food, but Squirtle calls out the same way. Soon, the Squirtle Squad and Wartortle shoot Water Gun and dodge Team Rocket as the crowd cheers

Brock cheers, "Look! They're all working together now!"

"They've got perfect timing!" Misty says.

Mew cheers, "Keep it up, Squirtle Squad! You too, Wartortle."

Finally, the robot falls, allowing Mew's Squirtle and Wartortle to use Skull Bash, and spray Water Gun at them. Then they both destroy the controls. Soon, all the Water Pokemon, who are captured, including Pikachu and Eevee escape. Squirtle and Wartortle quickly escape.

Mew rushes over, Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle, Wartortle! Are you okay?"

All four confirm.

"This fire fight isn't over yet, twerp!" Jessie angrily says.

"We still got plenty of gas!" Meowth says.

"Fire away!" James says.

Then the robot shoots fire from both nozzles to prove their point. Just then, Wartortle sprays Water Gun with full force.

Wartortle then shouts, "Wartortle!"

Soon, Wartortle begins to glow bright. Everyone gasps in surprise.

"What's happening!" Jen asks.

"Wartortle is…" Tomo says, surprised.

"It's evolving!" Brock says.

Wartortle begins to change her shape and size as she grows bigger, even her shell. Soon enough, Wartortle has evolved.

Mew says, "Wartortle has evolved into Blastoise!"

Just then, Blastoise soon gives them another Water attack, but this time it is not Water Gun. First, Blastoise blasted them with a large amount of water with incredible force

"Blastoise is using Water Spout!" Misty says, amazed.

Then Blastoise strikes them with another attack, but it's not another Water Type move.

"And that's Flash Cannon!" Mew says, amazed.

This one causes the robot to be destroyed and ends Team Rocket flying.

They scream, "Team Rocket's blazing off again!"

"We did it!" Mew cheers.

Soon enough, the construction crew are repairing the damages Team Rocket caused. As for Mew, she has made an important decision regarding Squirtle.

Mew says to Squirtle, "These guys need you, Squirtle. The Squirtle Squad's a really great firefighting team, but they need somebody really strong to lead em, and that somebody's you."

Squirtle seems unsure, but Mew nods her head. Even the gang reassures him. Soon, Mew's Squirtle decides that his team needs him.

Soon, the competition continues, Team Squirtle Vs. Team Quagsire. Each suspends on a rope and tries to take their flags and back.

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for your patience and welcome back to the grand prix!

Soon, the Squirtle Squad wins.

The referee announces, "The Squirtle Squad takes it!"

"Nice work!" Mew says.

The others including the Pokemon cheer, "Go, team!"

Soon, it's Team Wartortle vs. Team Blastoise.

Referee: Team Wartortle is the winner!

And soon, the finals are taking place.

Announcer: And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! The final showdown to determine this year's champions! Team Wartortle will face the Squirtle Squad as each team races to retrieve a dummy from a burning building!"

"You can win it, Squirtle Squad!" Mew cheers.

Misty cheers, "Good luck, to Team Wartortle, too!"

"I'm for you, Officer Jenny!" Brock cheers.

"You can do it, Squirtle Squad!"

"Do your best Team Wartortle.

The referee announces, "Go!"

Soon, the competition begins. Three team members from each fire Water Gun, while one retrieves the dummy. Each team member rushes in and rescues the dummy. Then it's a race to see who can put out the fire the fastest. Both teams prove to be fast as they can go as the timer keeps track for each team. Soon enough, both teams put out the fire, and the last round is over.

The referee announces, "The competition is over! Team Wartortle's time, 3 minutes, 54 0.2 seconds! Squirtle Squad's time, 3 minutes, 53 seconds flat! The winner is Officer Jenny's Squirtle Squad!"

Announcer: What an upset! The Squirtle Squad comes from behind to win their first Pokemon Fire and Rescue Grand Prix!

Mew and her friends cheer, "They did it!"

Aiden then walks over to congratulate them, "Congratulations. Your Squad showed skill, teamwork, and great leadership. Team Wartortle and I salute you for a job well done."

Then Aiden and Team Wartortle salute. Jenny and the Squirtle Squad do the same.

Later in the evening, the Squirtle Squad is about to head out.

"That was great. Congratulations," Mew says.

"Thanks, Mew," Jenny says, "And thank you for letting your Squirtle stay with us to become the leader of the Squirtle Squad again."

"Be careful fighting those fires, okay?" Mew says.

Then Misty says, "Good luck, Squirtle."

We'll miss you," Jen says.

Even the Pokemon say their goodbyes. Soon, the Pokemon begin to bid good luck and farewell to Squirtle. Bulbasaur however, doesn't seem to follow suit, at first. But soon offer a vine to Squirtle, and the two shake on it.

Then Jenny turns to Tomo, "And Tomo, I hope you do a great job raising Squirtle. She seems really warmed up to you."

"Thanks Jenny, I promise to take good care of you," Tomo says.

She turns to the female Squritle and says, "Right, Aqua?"

Squirtle, now Aqua blushes, but loves the name and happily nods.

Soon, Officer Jenny, and the whole Squirtle Squad ride away. Everyone begins to wave goodbye to Squirtle

"We're gonna miss you, Squirtle!" Misty says.

Brock says, "Take care of yourself!"

The Pokemon say their goodbyes.

The Squirtle Squad bids them farewell.

Mew calls out, "Don't forget, we'll always be friends no matter what, Squirtle!"

Squirtle agrees as they drive away. Mew soon remembers how she and Squirtle first meet and how much they come so far during her journey. And how Squirtle does great in his matches. With warm memories of the good times they shared, Mew bids farewell to her firefighting friend. Mew and her friends continue their journey to the Johto League, they look forward to the new friends and new memories that lie ahead.
