Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

One evening, Mew and her friends continue their journey through the Johto League. Their destination is Goldenrod City. However, they discover an imposing obstacle lies ahead."

"The map says we can take the Onix Tunnel right through this mountain," Brock says.

"Why's it called the Onix Tunnel?" Tomo asks.

"Yeah, how come?" Tomo asks.

"It's a cave where a lot of Onix are supposed to live," Brock says.

Misty grows concerned, "A cave full of Onix doesn't sound too safe to me."

"Don't worry Misty, as long as we don't bother the Onix they'll be fine. And we got Water Type Pokemon, so they can help in case one does attack," Misty says.

"Especially Misty," Jen says.

"You're right," Misty says, "I've got plenty of other water Pokémon who can do the job."

Then Brock says, "It's getting too dark to go in there anyway. Maybe we better save the tunnel for tomorrow."

"Good idea," Mew says.

Soon, the group decide to find a place to sleep for the night and head to Onix Cave in the morning.

Early the next morning, the tired Team Rocket approaches the entrance to the Onix Cave.

Meowth yawns, "I don't see why we gotta tackle this tunnel foist ting in da mornin."

"I don't like the idea anymore than you do, Meowth, but it's the shortest way to get to the next town," James says.

And Jessie says, "If we don't use the Onix Tunnel, who knows how long it would take us to get over that mountain."

"We might be over da hill by the time we were over da hill!" Meowth say.

Soon, the group enters the cave and begins to walk through the tunnel inside.

"All of a sudden I feel a little weird, James," Jessie says as she hugs herself.

She looks around to see the tunnel is dark, cold, and damp.

I always feel a little weird," James says with a deadpan expression.

"It sure is quiet in here," Meowth says.

Suddenly, they hear a noise deeper in the cave.

Jessie worriedly asks, "What do you think that sound was?"

"Scary!" James says, frightened.

Soon, several Onix appear, causing the three to jump back in fright.

Jessie panics, "They're Onix!"

"And they're cranky!" James says in fright.

Meowth cries out, "We gotta do something!"

James then brings out his Pokeball, "Alright, just leave this to me! Go, Victreebel!"

Victreebel comes out.

Then James commands, "Go and stop those Onix!"

But Victreebel bites on James' head.

James cries out, "Get the Onix, not me!" Victreebel lets go, and James says, "Use your Razor Leaf attack!"

Victreebel fires Razor Leaf, but it bounces off of Onix's stoic. Soon, the Onix bangs their heads against the wall. That causes the rocks to fall from the roof.

James cries out, "Onix is using Rock Throw!"

"We gotta do something!" Meowth cries out.

Jessie brings out her Pokeball, "I can handle this one! I choose, Arbok!"

Abok comes out of the Pokeball, and is immediately caught in a Bind by one of the Onix.

"I'm glad I ain't Arbok, because that Bind attack is bound to hoit!" Meowth says.

Jessie picks Meowth out, "Come on, Meowth! Don't just stand there, go help out!"

"Help out, how?" Meowth asks.

"You're a Pokemon, attack it!" Jessie says, and throws Meowth into the battle.

Meowth screams, and says, "I'll try my Fury Swipes! Let me at em!"

However, the attack bounces off of the Onix's head. Then the three Onix use the Rock Throw attack again. That forces Team Rocket to retreat out of the cave.

Exhausted, Jessie says, "There must be a way to get past them."

Then James has an idea, "We can always beat those Onix with a water Pokemon!"

"I hate to dampen your spirits, James, but we ain't got any water Pokemon," Meowth

Wobbuffet comes out of his Pokeball and says, "WOBBA-WOBB! (All too true!)

Jessie returns him back to the Pokeball, "We need water Pokemon, not a drip."

She then remembers, "That twerpy little red head certainly has plenty of water Pokemon."

Jessie remembers the Water Pokemon Misty has: Staryu, Golduck, Magikarp, Sobble, Wingull, Psyduck, Quagsire, Pink Shellos, Tentacruel, Marill, Feebas, Panpour, Ducklett, Chinchou, Mudkip, Tirtouga, Shiny Buizel, Goldeen, Pink Frillish, Slowpoke, Dewpider, Red-Striped Form Basculin, Blue-Striped Form Basculin, Wimpod, Swanna, Cramorant, Lapras, White-Striped Basculegion, Poliwag, Piplup, Mareanie, Wiglett. To put it simply. Misty has a lot of Water Pokemon.

And Meowth sees her point, "You're right! Dat little brat's hoarding water Pokemon dat we could use!"

Then James says, "I know! Why don't we help ourselves to some of hers?"

The three agree to the plan.

Meanwhile, Mw and the others are by the river, refreshing themselves up before they head to the cave.

Misty turns to Psyduck, "Psyduck, if you're going to hold your head all day, at least hold it in the water so it'll get clean." Then turns to her little ones: Togepi and Pichu, "You like to be nice and clean, don't you?"

Then Brock picks up Pineco, "How ya doin' today, Pineco? Ready to have some fun?"

Pineco explodes.

And Brock says, "We're already having a blast!"

"Pineco," (Yup!) Pineco says.

Jen finishes helping Snubbull wash her face.

"There you go. Feeling refreshed, right?" Jen asks.

"Snubbull Snubbull," (I feel nice and clean.) Snubbull says.

Just then, Snubbull begins to sniff around the area.

"What's up, Snubbull?" Jen asks.

"Snubbull Snubbull," (I smell something familiar.) Snubbull says.

"Are you searching for something like Snubbull?" Mew asks.

Snubbull soon picks up the scent and runs off.

"Snubbull, wait!" Jen calls out and follows.

Soon, the others begin to follow.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are sneaking around in their bush disguises.

"Team Rocket will be unstoppable once we get those water Pokemon. We'll be powerful with a Polliwag!" Jessie says.

Then James says, "We'll be stars with a Staryu!"

"Golden with Goldeen!" Meowth says.

Then Jessie asks, "What else?"

"Doesn't she have Psyduck?" James questions.

And James says, "We'd be sighing with a Psyduck, but we'll also be Golden with Golduck."

Meanwhile, Mew and the others continue to follow Snubbull.

Jen wonders, "I wonder what Snubbull is looking for."

"Snubbull sure looks determined to find something," Misty says.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are still searching for Mew and her friends so they can steal Misty's Pokemon.

"I'm sure those twerps are around here somewhere," Jessie says.

"That's right. I can hear their voices nearby," James says.

"And then it's Pokemon snatching time," Meowth says.

Back to Mew and her friends, the group are still following Snubbull.

"Snubbull, what in the world are you looking for?" Mew asks.

"We've been following you for some time," Misty says.

"Snubbull Snubb," (He's close. I can smell him.) Snubbull says.

"He?" Tomo says, confused.

"Who are you talking about?" Mew asks.

Then Snubbull runs off ahead.

"Snubbull, come back!" Jen calls out.

Snubbull ends up running faster. Jen tries to catch up to Snubbull, but by the time Jen rushes out of the bushes, Snubbull has disappeared.

Jen calls out, "Snubbull! Snubbull, where are you?! Snubbull!"

She grows worried, "Snubbull's gone!"

Meanwhile, Team Rocket isn't able to find Mew and the others and are trying to come up with a plan to steal Misty's Water Pokemon.

"Can't believe we lost them?" Jessie says.

Then Meowth asks, "Hey Jessie, how are we going to steal the twerpette's Pokemon anyway?"

"We're going to use the old pitfall plan!" Jessie answers.

James and Meowth fall over in disbelief.

"That plan's the pits," Meowth says.

"That may have been true in the past, but I have an invention that's going to change that!" Jessie says.

"What invention is that, Jessie?" James asks.

Jessie then reveals her invention, "Ta da."

It's basically a shovel mixed with a pogostick."

"Quit pretending that it's a new invention and just call a spade a spade," James says.

But James says, "Oh, but it's not just a spade, James. I sprang for the model that's a combination shovel and pogo stick, too.

"But what for?" James asks.

"So I can really dig digging!" Jessie says as she bounce and dig on her invention

"Naturally," James says.

"When Jessie digs a trap, she really hops to it," Meowth says.

Soon, Snubbull finally finds Team Rocket and Meowth's Tail. Snubbull then sneaks up from behind Meowth and bites on his tails

Meowth screams and runs around, "Get this thing off of me! It's bitin through my tail!"

Jessie picks up Snubbull, "Isn't this the same Snubbull we met back at that Palm Hills and hanging out with the twerps?"

"It does look familiar," James says.

Finally, Snubbull lets go of Mewoth's tail."

"I hope I can put this painful tale behind me," Meowth says, rubbing his tail.

And Jessie says, "I hope that thing didn't damage Snubbull's teeth."

"I wonder if Snubbull's been tailing Meowth for some reason while hanging out with the twerps," James replies.

Then Jessie realizes, "Ah! That must be it! This Snubbull must have a thing for Meowth."

"What kind of a ting?" Meowth asks.

"Oh, Meowth, it's obvious. That twinkle in its eyes can only mean one thing. Love," Jessie says.

Meowth soon notices the sparkle in his eyes.

Meowth cries out in shock, "WHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"This Snubbull would make an excellent gift for the boss, wouldn't it, Jessie?" James says.

And Jessie says, "Yes, and as long as we've got Meowth, it won't even try to run away. And we've finally got a Pokemon I can cuddle!" and cuddles Meowth, "Everyone thinks that red-headed runt is so sweet because she hangs around hugging her Togepi and Pichu. I'll be as popular as she is when people see me snuggling this Snubbull." and giggles.

"Sure," James says, not sounding so sure.

But Meowth refuses, "I'm not gonna stick around and get my tail chewed off so you can cuddle that fluffball! Besides, she's hanging out with the twerps."

"I don't recall anyone saying you had a choice about it," Jessie says.

Then Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuffet!" (Oh, so true.)

"You're starting to get on my nerves!" Jessie says, annoyed.

Meowth angrily says, "Take your pick! This ain't big enough for the two of us, so either Snubbull goes, or Meowth goes! See?!"

"Well, if you want use to make the decision, the choice is obvious," Jessie says.

And James says, "We can't just ignore everything you've done as part of Team Rocket."

"I gotta admit I'm touched. I knew you'd pick the right Pokemon," Meowth says, touched.

Then Jessie and James happily say, "Welcome to Team Rocket, Snubbull!"

And Wobbuffet says, "Wooooooobbuffet!" (Nice to meet you.)

Meowth is shocked, "WHAT?!"

"We better finish our digging before the twerps get here," Jessie says.

"That's a good idea, Jessie," James says.

"Wobbu," (Let's dig.) Wobbufett says, and is recalled into his Pokeball.

Soon, Team Rocket heads off, leaving Meowth behind.

"This never would've happened if I hadn't opened my big Meowth," Meowth says, and walks away feeling dejected and sad.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others are trying to find Snubbull.

Mew calls out, "Snubbull!"

"Snubbull!" Jen calls out.

"Where could Snubbull disappear too?" Misty asks, looking around.

"I wonder what's Snubbull's looking for," Brock wonders.

Soon enough, they come across a basket of fruit and a plate of it too, and it's next to a fruit tree.

Tomo is the first to notice, "Look guys. There's so much food."

"Yeah. It's making me hungry," Jen says.

"Hold on guys, we shouldn't rush into it," Mew says.

"Mew's right, "Misty says, "Haven't we fallen for this trap before?"

"It does seem vaguely familiar," Brock says.

"This must be a trap from Team Rocket," Tomo says.

"True, but we can still have some fruit for the road," Mew says.

Then Brock says, "I have to admit, Mew has got a point."

As Mew and her friends wait on what to do, Team Rocket lies in wait.

"They're just a few steps away from our pitfall," Jessie says.

"We're just steps from new Pokemon," James says.

Soon, Eevee steps forward, "Eevee Eevee." (I'll check it out.)

"Are you sure, Eevee?" Mew asks.

"Eevee. Eevee Eevee Vee." (I'm sure, and if this is a trap, I'll only fall in.) Eevee says.

Eevee then walks over slowly towards the trap. Just as Eevee walks to the basket, she begins to fall into the hole.

Mew quickly calls out to her Pokemon, "Bulbasaur, come on out and help Jigglypuff out of there!"

Bulbasaur is let out of his Pokeball and catches Eevee with Vine Whip.

"That was close," Mew says.

Then kneels to Eevee, "Are you alright?"

"Eevee," (I'm okay.) Eevee says.

"There must be more traps around here," Brock says.

"Let's look around carefully and get out of here. The group soon does just that, they slowly walk towards the baskets, plate, and tree of food, and each time, they find a trap pit. Soon enough, all of them have been triggered and no one has fallen in.

"There are so many traps here," Tomo says.

"Yeah. And luckily we haven't fallen in there," Jen says.

"Come on, let's keep looking for Snubbull," Mew says.

With that, Mew and her friends continue forward and try to find Snubbull and continue on. Meanwhile, Team Rocket are shocked and disappointed to see their plan hasn't worked.

"That good for nothing Pokemon has ruined my pitfall plan!" Jessie angrily says.

"Speaking of good for nothing, where's Meowth?" James wonders while looking around.

Jessie then angrily says, "We break our backs while mouth goes along its merry way!"

Soon, Snubbull begins to struggle.

Jessie asks, "What's the matter, Snubbull?"

Snubbull is able to break free and runs off.

"Wait, come back!" Jessie calls out.

Soon, Jessie and James begin to chase after Snubbull.

Meanwhile, Meowth is walking around alone, "The Team Rocket motto is never gonna be the same without me popping up at the end with a big "Meowth, that's right!". Wait a second! They NEED me to say that line! Those two must have realized THAT by now!" He looks back and sighs, "Maybe I better quit kiddin myself. They like Snubbull and they ain't never coming to look for me."

Meanwhile, Mew and the others are still searching for Snubbull.

"Snubbull, where are you!" Jen calls out.

Brock looks around, "Any sign of Snubbull yet?"

"Nope. Not so far," Misty says.

"Nothing," Tomo says.

"Where could Snubbull disappear to?" Mew wonders.

"I'm not sure we're ever going to find it," Tomo says.

Jen feels sad and decides to walk away from the others.

Meanwhile, Meowth is outside of Onix Tunnel.

"I can't get anywhere without cuttin through that tunnel, but I'm afraid to go past all of them Onix. Guess this is a dead end for poor old Meowth," Meowth says.

Soon, Jen shows up and looks very sad.

Sympathetic, Meowth asks, "What's wrong kid?"

"Oh hi, Meowth. I'm feeling very down in the dumps," Jen says.

"Down in da dumps, huh?" Meowth asks, "What got you feeling blue?"

"Snubbull has disappeared and I couldn't find her anywhere. And I promised Madame Muchmoney I will take care of her, and now I lost her," Jen says in sadness, and on the verge of tears.

"Snubbull disappeared, huh. Nuttin's sacred anymore! I guess nobody cares about our feelings no more," Meowth says, and lets out sigh.

"Actually, my friends do care, but we still can't find her," Jen says.

"Well I say the only shelter we got against the disappointments of life is our dreams!" Meowth says, "You got a dream, don't ya kid?"

"Well, my dream is to be a great trainer, well, that's the start. When I grow up, I want to be just like my big sister, and maybe someday have my own gym, or even open a Pokemon daycare back home," Jen says.

"Those would like good dreams," Meowth says.

"Thank you," Jen says.

"I never noticed it before, but you kind of remind me of your friend Mew. and she shines bright like the moon," Meowth says.

"Really?" Jen asks.

Meowth sighs, "I wish there were Pokemon and humans that liked me that were nice and generous, stead of one being that' rough on and my tail.

Jen gently places her hand on Meowth's tail.

"Hey, you're treating me lots nicer than my friends did. You and your friend, Mew," Meowth says.

Jen hugs Meowth as he sobs.

Then Meowth declares, "You know what? You and I are joining forces to start a team that's even better than Team Rocket! We'll call ourselves the Dream Team, cause we ain't gonna rest till our dreams come true!"

"Maybe," Jen says.

Then Meowth says, "From now on, the world is our apple and we're gonna take a big juicy bite!"

Suddenly, something bites on Meowth's tail and it's Snubbull.

"Somebody do something! Get this Snubbull off of me!" Meowth cries.

"Snubbull!" Jen says, surprised and relieved.

Snubbull lets go of Meowth's tail and jumps into Jen's arms.

Jen hugs Snubbull, "Oh Snubbull, I was so worried.

And soon, Jessie and James show up.

Jessie notices Meowth, "Well, look who it is."

"I can hardly believe my eyes!" James says.

Meowth turns to see his teammates, "I thought you guys didn't care about me, but I guess you've been looking for me all along, right?"

"Not really," James says.

And Jessie says, "Actually, we didn't know you were gone. We came here looking for Snubbull."

Meowth moans and falls over in disbelief, "I was afraid of dat!"

Jen frowns on what James and Jessie say to Mewoth. Jen then walks over and kicks James in the shin. James screams and holds his shin in pain. Then does the same to Jessie who does the same reaction.

James screams, "That little twerpette kicked our shins."

"That little pipsqueak! That really hurt!" Jessie cries out in pain.

"I may have issues with Team Rocket, but Meowth still has feelings," Jen says.

Meowth laughs, "I have to admit, you're tough for a little girl. That shows that you're kind of like Mew. She's tough, but she can be very kind."

"Um thank you," Jen says.

Suddenly, Mew's voice calls out, "Jen! Where are you?!"

"Jen!" Mity calls out.

Soon, Mew and the others show up.

"There you are, Jen!" Brock says.

"We were looking for you," Mew says.

"Amaura," Amaura says and hurries to Jen in relief.

Then they notice James and Jessie holding their shins as they hop up and down on their other foot in pain.

"What happened to them?" Brock asks.

Meowth laughs and says, "Jen kicks them in the shins! That was rich!"

"That's not rich, Meowth!" James cries out.

"It really hurt!" Jessie screams.

"Not saying they don't deserve it," Misty mutters.

"I agree," Tomo says.

Jen then says, "And look, I found Snubbull. More like Snubbull found us."

"That's good to hear," Mew says.

Finally, James and Jessie stop feeling the pain to see the group.

Jessie says, "Perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better time for the red head to show up."

"Now we can help ourselves to all her water Pokemon," James says.

Misty refuses, "Guess again."

"What are you three trying to pull this time?" Mew demands.

And soon, Team Rocket performs their motto.

Jessie:

You should prepare for trouble, folks.

James:

Better make it double, we're stealing your Pokes.

"Alright!" Meowth happily says.

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation.

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie:

Jessie.

James:

James.

"Okay, here comes my big moment," Meowth says in thought.

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.

James:

Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth:

Meeeeee...

But Wobbuffet interferes, "WOBBUFFET!" (That's right!)

Hearing the new ending, Jessie says, "Not bad, I like the new ending."

"Yes. It does have a nice ring to it," James says.

Meowth falls over in disbelief, "Say it isn't so."

Then Jessie says, "We want water Pokemon! It's up to you, Arbok! Now, go!" and throws her Pokeball.

Arbok comes out of the Pokeball.

"You're not getting mine, Jessie! I choose you…" Misty says, and about to call her Pokemon.

But Psyduck comes out.

"NOT PSYDUCK!" Jessie cries out in anger.

And James says, "Please don't make us take that one!"

"You gotta stop letting yourself out. Okay, Psyduck, return now," Misty says and calls Psyduck back into his Pokeball. "Let's try again! I choose you, Poliwag!" and throws her other Pokeball.

Poliwag comes out.

James then calls out, "Go and get it, Arbok!"

"Win one for Team Rocket!" Jessie says.

Arbok attacks, but Poliwag dodges.

Misty calls out, "Poliwag, Water Gun attack!"

Poliwag gets a bullseye on the attack.

Then James calls out, "Let's go, Victreebel! I, choose you!"

And Victreebel comes out.

James calls out, "Now, go, Victreebel!"

But Victreebel tries to bite James as he cries, "Get them, Victreebel, not me!"

Then, Mew calls out, "Chikorita, I choose you!" and Chikorita joins the battle

James calls out, "Get that Poliwag with Razor Leaf!"

Victreebel launches the attack.

Mew calls out, "Go, Chikorita, use your Vine Whip attack!"

Chikorita performs Vine Whip and swat Razor Lead.

Misty calls out, "Poliwag, use your Double Slap attack!"

And Poliwag performs the attack on Arbok.

Mew calls out, "Chikorita, try a Razor Leaf attack!"

Chikorita's attack strikes Victreebel."

Jessie growls in anger, "Those little twerps must have been practicing. They're not bad."

"Wobbuffet!" (I agree!) Wobbuffet says.

This makes Jessie angry, "Why are you agreeing with me? You're supposed to say that they stink and we're great!" and pushes Wobbuffet into battle, "Go."

"Chikorita, Vine Whip attack!" Mew calls out.

But Jessie says, "Wobuffet, Counter attack!"

Wobbuffet uses a counter to deflect Chikorita's Vine Whip, sending it back at herself, knocking her back.

"Wobbuffet's pretty good!" Mew says, surprised

Then Misty calls out, "Poliwag, hit Wobbuffet with Water Gun at full power!"

Poliwag uses Water Gun with full power and sends Wobbuffet back, followed by Victreebel, Arbok, and the rest of Team Rocket.

Then Mew calls out, "Alright, Pikachu, Eevee, Time for a Thunderbolt!"

Then the attack lands and sends them blasting off.

"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out

Wobbuffet cries out, "Wobbu!" (Yowzer!)

Seeing Meowth gone, Snubbull says, ""Snubbull Snubbull," (Aw well, perhaps next time.)

Jen turns to Snubbull, "Are you okay, Snubbull?"

"Snubbull," (I'm alright.) Snubbull answers.

"Promise not to run off again. I was worried," Jen says.

Snubbull nods in reply and nuzzles Jen.

"Come on guys, let's head to Onix Tunnel and get to the next town," Mew says.

"Yeah," Misty says.

Soon, everyone begins to walk inside the tunnel to get to the next town.

"Hope the Onix don't bother us," Tomo says.

"Yeah, don't worry. The Onix will leave us alone as long as we leave them alone, too," Brock says.

"Yeah, and if they don't, I'll just get my water Pokemon to help us out," Misty says.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Tomo says.

Soon, Mew and the others begin to walk through the tunnel with ease. They end up seeing a bunch of Onix around, but since they're not doing anything, the Onix decide to leave them alone, much to their relief. In fact, some of them are fast asleep. And now, the group of friends are able to travel through the tunnel safely and continue their journey.

Later on, Team Rocket tries to pass through the tunnel, noticing all of them are asleep.

"We're in luck. The Onix have fallen asleep," Meowth says, relieved.

"Yes," James says

"Maybe, but I for one will be delighted when we get through this tunnel," Jessie says.

Then James says, "I wonder if that's where they got the old saying about the light at the end of the tunnel."

Jessie soon trips and starts shouting as a result, and that wakes up the Onix, causing the three to panic.

Jessie screams in fright, "This is one time I wish Team Rocket was blasting off."
