Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

After a very long journey across the Johto Region, they finally reach the next part of their journey. The group arrives on the top of the hill gasping in amazement.

Mew calls out, "Look there!"

Everyone look over the horizon to see a very large city

"It's Goldenrod City!" Mew says.

"Pikachu," (We're almost there.) Pikachu happily says.

"Eevee," (And we're close to the next gym.) Eevee adds.

Soon, Mew and the others enter Goldenrod City.

"This place is humongous!" Mew says, amazed.

"Pika!" (I know!) Pikachu says.

"Vee!" (Really huge!) Eevee adds

"And so are the savings during the store's semi-annual super sale!" Misty says.

"Toge Toge!" (Super sale!) Togepi happily says.

"Pichu!" (Super sales!) Pichu happily says

Brock becomes lovestruck, "You mean we gotta introduce ourselves to some of those pretty city girls…"

Soon, Tomo, Jen, and Molly are looking over the hamburgers at the burger stand.

"Can you guess what I'm thinking about guys?" Jen replies.

"Yeah, and if you're thinking what I'm thinking...then we're all thinking about…" Tomo says.

Molly happily cheers, "A hamburger!

Mew giggles, "There's so much to do. Of course, I do like to have my gym battle as well."

"I've never been to a real Pokemon Gyn, can we go see it?" Molly asks.

"Sure. We can go check out the gym, and maybe we can decide what to eat," Mew says.

Moments later, the group arrives at the Goldenrod City Gym, mostly to check out the gym and for Mew to have her battle. However, they hit a snag, mainly a sign in front of them.

Mew reads the sign, "'We're sorry, the Goldenrod Gym is closed until tomorrow.'"

"Pika," (Oh, man.) Pikachu says, disappointed.

"Eevee Eevee," (How disappointing.) Eevee replies, feeling the same.

"That's okay. It will give me enough time to figure out a plan, since the Goldenrod City Gym uses Normal Type Pokemon.

Then Misty says, "That means today we can go to all the big department stores!"

"And I can shop around for a Goldenrod City girlfriend," Bock says.

"I wanna eat lunch," Tomo says.

"Good idea. Then we can find some place to hang out and come back to the gym tomorrow!" Mew says.

Then the group rushes off as Brock says, "I know the perfect place: the Goldenrod Galleria! It's just a few blocks away and it should be easy to get to." and Brock looks through the binoculars.

"Yeah, you've been saying that for an hour and a half," Misty says.

"This place is crazy. Every street we take is a dead end," Misty says.

"I got to admit, I'm stumped," Brock says.

Suddenly, Pikachu and Eevee's ears sense something. Then the two run off.

"Where are you going?" Tomo asks.

Mew says, "Pikachu and Eevee have an idea."

Pikachu and Eevee run ahead as the group follows.

Misty calls out, "Slow down, Pikachu."

"Wait for us, Eevee," Molly calls out.

Suddenly, Pikachu bumps into a Clefairy, surprising the group

"It's a Clefairy!" Misty says.

Clefariy angrily says to Pikachu, "Clefairy, fairy Clefairy fairy fairy!" (Hey, watch where you're going, buster!)

"Sorry about that," Mew says, and picks up Clefairy, "I hope you're okay."

Suddenly, someone calls out, "Oh, no!"

Soon, a pink haired young woman with white clothes comes running towards Mew's group.

"Did my Clefairy hurt your little Pikachu?" The girl asks.

"Pikachu's fine," Mew says, and turns to Pikachu, "Aren't you, Pikachu?"

"Pika Pika," (Yes, no harm done.) Pikachu says.

"Aren't you the cutest thing," The woman says as she picks up Pikachu, "I know how to make a boo-boo feel better," and gives Pikachu a kiss on the forehead.

Pikachu blushes, "Cha!" (Gosh.)

Brock bashes his head on the nearest wall, "Ugh! I bet one of those treatments would work wonders for me."

"Open your ears, Brock — she kisses boo-boos, not bozos," Misty says as she pulls Brock by the ear.

Brock cries out, "Not the ear! Not the ear!"

Soon, Mew and the others, and the young woman laugh. Moments later, Mew and the others explain to their friend where they want to go.

The girl says, "I'd be happy to take you to the Goldenrod Galleria if you want. I know the way like my own name."

"And what might that be?" Brock asks.

The girl introduces herself, "My name's Whitney."

"Clefairy," (Nice to meet you.) Clefairy says.

Then Mew introduces herself, "It's nice to meet you, Whitney. My name is Mew."

"And I'm Misty," Misty says.

"Togepiiiiii!" (Pleased to meet you!) Togpei happily says.

"Pichu," (Hello) Pichu says.

"I'm Tomo," Tomo says.

"I'm Jen," Jen replies.

And Molly says, "And I'm Molly."

Then Brock says, "Permit me to introduce myself. My name is Brock and I have an idea that I think will interest you, Whitney. Let's leave my young associates to their own devices and find an internment café where we can share a soft drink or two."

"This way, guys," Whitney says.

Brock looks and sweat drops when he realizes that he's being ignored.

"Why are you taking us down here?" Misty asks.

"'Cause it's easier to get around underground. There's a shopping arcade down here that leads straight to the Galleria," Whitney says.

Soon, the group walks in the Goldenrod Underground

"Now we just take a little stairway over here that leads right up to the lobby. I just discovered the route myself, there's no traffic and it's kinda secret," Whitney says.

"It's a good thing we ran into you," Mew says.

However, when they arrive, they find that they're not at the Goldenrod Galleria.

"No wonder it's a secret," Tomo replies.

"We're further away than we were before," Brock says.

Misty sarcastically says, "Thanks, Whitney."

"Sorry. I guess I picked the wrong secret staircase," Whitney says.

Soon, the group follows Whitney downstairs as Whitney says, "Just follow me! There's another shortcut right through here!"

However, they make another wrong turn, and end up in a hair salon.

One stylist says, "You're right on time!"

The second brother says, "We can work on your Pokémon right away!"

"Let's get started!" The first brother says.

Soon, the two brothers take Clefairy and Eevee to the salon chairs.

"A Poké-perm for Pikachu…" The second brother says.

Before they can get started, Mew and Whitney quickly take their Pokemon back.

"Some other time!" Whitney says.

"We're looking for a shortcut, not a haircut!" Mew says.

Then the girls say, "Bye!" And runs off.

Soon, the group came to a stop.

"That sure was a close call,"

"I thought you knew how to find the Galleria," Misty says.

Whitney sheepishly says, "Yeah, I thought I did, too!"

Soon, Tomo, Jen, and Molly's stomach begins growling.

"My stomach just wants to find some food," Tomo says.

"I'm getting hungry," Molly says.

"I'd be happy if we could just find our way back to the hamburger stand we saw," Brock says.

And Whitney happily says, "No problem. I can take you straight there!"

The group follows Whitney up another flight of stairs, "I've been there a million times. They've got the best burgers in the world!" Then stops to say, "Uh-oh".

"What do you mean 'uh-oh'? Jen asks.

They soon notice that they're at the first place they want to go.

"How did we wind up at the Goldenrod Galleria? Maybe I only know where I'm going when I don't know where I'm going," Whitney says.

"Maybe, but you got us to where we wanted to go to begin with," Mew says.

Whitney chuckles sheepishly, "That's true, Ash. And now that we're here, I'll give ya a tour of the whole place. Come on, guys. Just follow me through the automatic—" and slams into the door, "Guess they're not... automatic."

"Clefairy…" Clefairy replies.

"Are you okay?" Brock asks, rushing to her.

"I get the feeling Whitney doesn't always know where she's goin'," Tomo says.

"She may be going to the hospital," Misty says.

The Pokemon agree.

Meanwhile, in the grocery store, Meowth and Jessie of Team Rocket are wolfing down some food from the food sample dish.

Meowth chuckles, "Hot diggity dog!"

"Eating good food always puts me in a good mood!" Jessie says.

"I don't think we have enough money to pay for all that food," James replies.

But Meowth says, "We don't hafta pay. In fact, we can all eat here all day 'cause all dis food is free!"

"All this food is free?" James asks.

"Yes, haven't you heard of free samples?" Jessie replies.

James asks, "What's a free sample?"

"You've led a pretty sheltered life, Jimmy," Meowth says

"I guess when you grow up rich, the whole world is like a free sample," Jessie replies.

Soon, James scarfed down the food, "Food tastes so much delicious when it's free!"

And not soon after, Team Rocket goes on a eating frenzy.

Just then, the saleswoman confronts them, "Are you gonna buy anything?"

"Huh?" Team Rocket questions.

And with that, Team Rocket performs their motto.

Jessie:

Now you're in for a bunch of trouble!

James:

We're eating lunch, so make it double!

Jessie:

To eat and drink to our hearts' content!

James:

Without even having to spend a single cent!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of paying for food!

James:

We won't leave a single sample unchewed!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket loves scarfing down free samples at the speed of light!

James:

Yes, and we like to eat even more than we like to fight!

Meowth:

You got dat right!

However, the saleswoman held the empty plates, "This was a free sample dish. For everything else, you gotta pay!"

"Huh? Uhh…" Team Rocket grows pale, realizing their mistake.

Jessie says, "We're a little short of money."

"Would it be all right if we gave you an IOU?" James asks.

But the saleswoman says, "All we accept is cash."

"We ain't got none of dat," Meowth says.

The saleswoman questions, "Well, then how do you intend to pay for all the food you ate?"

"How about our undying gratitude?" James asks.

Then the woman sternly says, "You're gonna work until you pay for every crumb ya ate!"

And soon enough, Team Rocket is put to work, barking out the customers to try to get them to try the product, so far, nothing. Just then, James spots Whitney's Clefairy in the department store.

Meowth calls out, "Dere's a Clefairy in Produce!"

"I say we bag it and get it back to the boss while it's still fresh!" Jessie says.

"Like me?" Meowht asks.

And James says, "Stop your joking, Meowth. If we don't act now, we may never be able to pick up a Clefairy!"

"Not widdout a coupon," Meowth says.

Team Rocket cheers, "Clefairy, ho!"

Team Rocket discards their work uniforms and changes back to their Team Rocket uniform and dash odd.

Meanwhile, to Mew and her friends.

Whitney apologizes, "I'm sorry we got off to such a shaky start, Misty, but I'm glad we finally found a place for you to do some shopping."

"Luckily, I just had a pick up a few little things," Misty says.

Soon, it's revealed that the boys are carrying a few things.

"If you picked 'em up, how come we have to carry 'em?" Tomo asks

"It was nice meeting you guys, I guess Clefairy and I better get going now," Whitney says, as she looks down, but notices something a miss, "Hmmm, where'd Clefairy go?"

Soon, Pikachu and Eevee follow the trail.

"Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew calls out, and follows after them, "Wait for me!"

"I'm coming too!" Whitney says.

Mew runs off and follows her Pokemon followed by everyone else, save for Brock.

Brock calls out, "Hey, guys. You seem to forgetting something...me!" and follows.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket pursues Clefair.

"Dat Clefairy's gotta be here someplace," Meowth says.

And Jessie spots her, "It's over there!"

Jessie sneaks up behind Clefair and grabs it, "A-ha!"

Clefairy cries out, "Clefairy!" (Let me go!) before Jessie stuffs her right into the bag.

"I caught a Clefairy!" Jessie cheers holding a peace sign.

Suddenly, Whitney calls out, "Hey! That Clefairy belongs to me!"

Mew spots them, "Look, it's Team Rocket again!"

Seeing the group running towards them, Jessie says with an annoyed expression, "Can't we ever get rid of that twerp and his friends?!

"Only if we run away," James says.

Then Team Rocket makes a run for it.

Whitney calls out, "Come back here!"

Following from behind, Brock calls out, "Wait, what's going on? What's happening? What am I missing?"

Up ahead, Team Rocket is still on the run.

Soon, Meowth spots something up ahead, "Look, guys! Da magnet train!"

"That's the new super-fast monorail!" Jessie happily says.

And James says, "This is absolutely perfect! I wonder where it goes?"

"Who cares as long as it's away from here!" Jessie says.

Team Rocket continues to run towards the train station and soon find the operator.

James asks, "Excuse me, when does the next train leave?"

"A year from next Tuesday," The train operator says.

"A year?!" Jessie asks, shocked.

"They gotta build the trains before they can run the trains," The operator says, and walks away.

Then Whitney calls out, "Hey!"

Team Rocket looks to see Mew and the others have caught up to them.

Mew calls out, "Give back that Clefairy!"

"We can't let those twerps catch us!" Jessie panics.

And James asks, "What do we do?"

Meowth soon spots something, "Oh... Quick! Let's use dat handcar!"

The three hop on the hand car, and it begins to levitate off the track.

Meowth is amazed, "Hey, look! The whole ting's gravitatin!"

"Yes, but no thanks to you!" Jessie says.

The handcar slowly begins to move.

Mew turns to Pikachu and Eevee, "Come on, we can't let em get away!"

The group soon keep up with Team Rocket, just by walking, due to how slow the handcar's movement is.

"Dis even embarrasses me," Meowth says.

Mew turns to Pikachu and Eevee, "Think we should use Thunderbolt on them?"

"Eevee," (I think so) Eevee answers.

Pikachu then begins charging up for a Thunderbolt attack.

Jessie panics, "That won't be necessary." and gets Clefairy out of the sack, "Please, take back your Clefairy." and places Clefairy on the platform.

"Thanks, Ash. You sure know how to handle Team Rocket," Whiney says.

"Well, I…" Mew says.

However, Meowth suddenly pounces and snatches pikachu and Eevee, "Gotcha!" and hops on the handcar, "Now, let's go!"

"Great work, Meowth! Hurry, James!" Jessie says as she and James start pumping the handcar again to make it move.

"Uh, they do know we can still walk to them," Molly says.

"Yes," Jen replies.

Then Whitney calls out, "Clefairy, use your Metronome!"

At the moment, the attack creates a whirlwind.

"A Gust! Perfect, Clefairy!" Whitney says.

The Gust blows right into Team Rocket, and blows the sack Pikachu and Eevee are in away from them.

Mew soon catches them, "Pikachu! Eevee!"

Pikachu and Eevee escape from the sack with glee.

Shocked, Meowth says, "Cat-tastrophe!"

"Things couldn't get much worse," James says.

And Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuffet!" (They just might!)

Team Rocket soon try to make a getaway

Jessie complains to Wobbuffet, "Why is it that whenever problems pop up, you always pop, out?!"

Mew calls out, "Pikachu, use your Thunder attack!"

Pikachu uses the attack and the handcar starts going super fast, prompting Team Rocket to hold on for dear life.

"What's going on here?!" Jessie panics.

James cries out, "Pikachu's attack must've activated the electromagnetic engine that propels the cars along the rail!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Jimbo, but I agree with whatever you just said," Meowth says.

"Wobbuffet! (As do I!) Wobbuffet says.

Jessie laughs with a smile, "We're riding the magnet train, fast and free!"

"Yeah, but it's gonna take quite a toll when the rail runs out!" Meowth says.

Team Rocket screams as they race into a tunnel and fades out of sight.

"Pikachu, you were great," Mew says, and picks up Pikachu and Eevee.

Then turns to Whitney, "Thanks, Whitney, we couldn't have done it without you and Clefairy."

"Pikachu," (Thanks a bunch.) Pikachu says.

"I'd sure like to have a match with you," Whitney says.

And Mew says, "Thanks, but we're getting ready for one tomorrow."

"Mew is going for a Goldenrod City gym badge!" Brock says.

This makes Whitney happy, "Why didn't you say so? I could've taken you boys to the gym right away."

But Misty points out, "But we were already there. The sign says it's closed today."

"Forget about that silly sign!" Whitney says, "Today's the gym leader's day off, but I'll be more than happy to open the place for you, Mew."

Everyone becomes confused.

"What do you mean?" Mew asks. But soon realizes "Wait, are you saying that…"

Whitney places her over her mouth and stifles her laughter. She then says, "In all the excitement, I guess I never got to tell you. The Gym Leader is me!"

The Pokemon are just as surprised.

Later, everyone is at the gym and Mew is ready to have her battle against Whitney.

The referee announces, "Mew from Pallet Town challenges the Goldenrod City gym leader to a Pokemon battle! A Plain Badge is at stake! This will be a 3-on-3 match! All ready?!"

"I'm ready for a real rumble! Are you?" Whitney calls out.

Mew says, "Yeah! Ready when you are!"

The referee announces, "Let the match begin!"

Whitney brings out her Pokeball and calls out, "I choose, Nidorina!"

"Soon, Nidorina comes out.

Mew then calls out, "I choose you, Cyndaquil!"

And Cyndaquil comes out of the Pokeball.

Whitney calls out, "Nidorina, use your Poison Sting!"

Nidorina fires.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, use your Flamethrower!"

Cyndaquil launches Flamethrower and it burns every last one of the Poison Stung.

Then Whitney calls out, "Use Tackle attack!"

Nidorina charges towards Cyndaquil.

Mew calls out, "Cyndaquil, use your Flamethrower again!"

Cyndaquil uses Flamethrower and it nails Nidorina so hard that it falls back, completely knocked out.

Whitney gasps in shock, "Nidorina, return!" and calls back her Pokemon.

The referee announces, "Nidorina is unable to battle! Cyndaquil is the winner!"

"Way to go, Cyndaquil! Keep it up!" Mew happily cheers.

" Thanks, Nidorina," Whitney says.

Then turns to her Clefairy, "Now it's your turn, Clefairy. And you know what to do."

Clefairy nods and hops into the battlefield before beginning using Metronome.

"Oh no!" Mew says, shocked.

"That's Clefairy's Metronome attack!" Brock says.

"You never know what kind of attack will come out of Clefairy's Metronome!" Misty says.

"We know Clefairy can whip up a strong Gust, but get ready for anything," Mew says.

Soon, Clefairy's arms start to glow.

"Here it comes!" Mew says.

Suddenly, Clefair starts doing Pokemon jumping-jacks, baffling and confusing everyone

"A jumping-jack attack?"Misty asks.

Even the Pokemon are confused,

Mew sheepishly asks, "Uh Whitney, is that what I think it is?"

"Oh no, you're right! It's imitating Magikarp," Whitney says.

"I knew it. Celfair is using Magikarp's signature move" Mew says.

"A Splash attack?" Tomo questions.

"Too bad there's no water," Jen says.

Cyndaquill spews a powerful Flamethrower, frightening Clefairy/

Whitney calls out, "Clefairy can't take this! Please hold your fire!"

Clefairy returns to Whitney, still scared after what happened.

"It's okay. You don't have to battle anymore," Whitney says.

The referee announces, "Clefairy has forfeited the round! Cyndaquil is the winner!"

Mew feels sorry for her, "Poor Clefairy."

Just then, Whiney says, "This isn't over yet. I still have one tough Pokemon left." and holds out her Pokeball.

Mew says in thought, "I'll have to be careful with this one. I was able to defeat two of her Pokemon. Well Clefairy forfeit, but still, whoever the last Pokemon Whitney has, it will have to be a strong one if she's saving it for last.

Just then, Whitney calls out her final Pokemon, "I choose you!"

In moments Whitney's last Pokemon appears. It's a bipedal, bovine Pokémon, which can only be female. Its body is mostly pink, with a yellow belly and black, angular markings along its back. A black hood-like marking surrounds its face with a pink, triangular mark on its forehead. There are two small horns on top of its head. It has large, blue eyes, a black nose, and a wide mouth, as well as long, black, floppy ears with yellow insides. It has a yellow udder with four pink teats. All four of its limbs end in black, cloven hooves, and its long tail is tipped with a black sphere.

Mew is suprised, "A Miltank!"

Mew takes out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Miltank, the Milk Cow Pokémon. A Normal Type. Miltank produces very nutritious milk, a perfect drink for reviving sick Pokémon. Miltank are very even-tempered and prefer not to battle."

"Maybe so, but it's best to not let my guard down for even a second," Mew says.

Mew's intuition is right when Whiney calls out, "Miltank, use Rollout attack!"

Miltank pulls herself into a ball and rolls to Cyndaquil. With her incredible speed and power, Miltank sends Cyndaquil flying.

"Cyndaquil!" Mew calls out.

Brock calls out, "Watch out, Mew! Miltank's no pushover!"

"Alright! Mew says, and calls out, "Use Tackle Attack, Cyndaquil!"

Cyndaquil lights his flames and charges in, but Miltank comes back around with Rollout. Both Pokemon collide, and it's a stalemate, until Miltank comes back around again.

"This Miltank is a lot tougher than I thought," Mew says.

Brock calls out, "Maybe you better switch Pokemon."

"I was thinking the same," Mew says, and brings back Cyndaquil's Pokeball.

"I think it's a good idea. Take Brock's advice and get Cyndaquil out of there while you still can!" Misty

"Yeah, and hurry!" Brock says.

However, before Mew can react, Cyndaquil gets back up and relights his back flames, only to get slammed into a wall by Rollout, knocking him down completely.

The referee announces, "Cyndaquil is unable to continue! Miltank is the winner!"

"Cyndaquil, return!" Mew says, and calls Cyndaquil back to his Pokeball. "You did really great."

Mew then brings out another Pokeball, "And I was hoping to save him for this occasion."

Mew then throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Go Primeape!"

And with that, Primeape comes out of the Pokeball.

Brock says, "Primeape seems like an excellent choice."

"You're right. Normal Types are weak against Fighting types," Tomo says.

"But Miltank is really strong, so it won't be easy," Misty says.

Whitney calls out, "Miltank! Start with another Rollout attack!"

Miltank then begins to use Rollout and heads straight for Primeape.

Mew calls out, "Primeape, use Swift!"

Primeape then performs Swift at Miltank, but Miltank is rolling faster.

Misty says in shock, "Miltank isn't even slowing down."

"It just keeps rolling faster!" Brock cries out.

Then Whitney says, "Be careful Mew, my Miltank's rollout gets stronger and stronger as it rolls."

Mew calls out, "Primeape, dodge!"

Primeape jumps and dodges the attack.

"Quick Primeape, use Thrash!" Mew calls out.

Primeape tries to strike Thrash at Miltak with full force, but Whitney's Miltank continues to use Rollout and pushes Primeape down to the ground.

"Primeape!" Mew cries out.

Primeape falls to the ground, but is able to stand back on his feet.

Then Whitney calls out, "Keep using Rollout!"

Miltank then uses another Rollout and heads straight for Primeape.

"Primeape, use Cross Chop!" Mew calls out.

Primeape charges for another attack, but Miltank Rollout is very strong, and pushes Primeape back. Primeape falls to the ground but struggles to get up.

"Primeape, are you okay?!" Mew calls out.

Primeape finally gets back on his feet, showing that he's fine.

"Another Rollout, Miltank!" Whitney calls out.

Mew and Primeape see Miltank is heading right towards them with Rollout.

Mew says to herself in thought, "Miltank's Rollout is so strong. There has to be a way to stop it, but how?"
