Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

On their way to Ecruteak City, Mew and her friend are passing a beautiful national park

Narrator: On their ways to Ecruteak City, our heroes find themselves passing through a beautiful national park.

"Hey, let's go check this out!" Mew says.

Soon, the group reaches the site of the festivities.

An employee shouts, "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! There's not much time left! The Bug Pokémon Catching Contest is about to begin! Come one, come all! Sign up now at the registration tent!"

Mew walks over and asks, "Does the winner get some kind of prize?"

"Sure!" The employee says, "They get a Sun Stone, and keep whatever Bug Pokémon they catch."

"Sounds like fun," Mew says.

"I wanna enter it too," Tomo says.

"Me too," Jen says.

Soon, the group prepares to get in line to sign up for the contest.

Mew says, "That must be the sign up line."

"You, Tomo, and Jen, gonna have a lot of competition," Misty says.

As the group talks, the trainer's Chikorita looks back and spots them. The Pokemon belongs to none other than the Electabuzz super fan, Casey.

She turns to see them and gasps in shock, "I can't believe it!" and rushes towards them, "Hi, guys!"

"Casey!" Misty happily says.

Even Mew is happy, "It's you!"

"If I know you, Mew, I bet you're gonna sign up and try to win a new bug Pokémon. So am I," Casey says.

"Tomo and Jen are entering as well," Mew says.

"Great, the more the merrier," Casey says. Then she notices Molly, "Special of that, I see you got a new friend."

"Right, Casey, this is Molly. Molly, this is Casey," Mew says.

"Hello," Molly says.

"Hi Molly, it's nice to meet you," Casey says.

Soon, the Pokemon begin to talk to one another.

"Your Chikorita's looking really strong," Brock says.

"Since the last time I saw you, we've been on a winning streak, just like my favorite baseball team, the good ol' Electabuzz!" Casey says.

"Sounds like you're still a big fan," Misty says.

"I sure am! I'll even sing you their new fight song for this season," Casey says.

With that, Casey waves the Electabuzz flag as Chikorita happily raises its arms. Soon, Casey begins to sing.

Casey:

Let's all cheer Electabuzz, greatest team of all!

The players charge the field and Double Team the ball!

They're the crew with Mega Punch when they're in a crunch!

Metronome!

Safe at home!

Hyper Beam, too!

Win!

Win!

Through thick and thin!

Electa-buzz it's you!

YAAYY hehehe!

Everyone is practically sweating drops.

Then Casey says, "The Electabuzz are riding their winning streak just like I'm riding my winning streak to win myself a new bug Pokemon!"

"You're not gonna beat me that easily!" Mew says.

"With that attitude, we'll all try harder and I'll look better when I win! And I'm gonna do my best to win this contest for the Electabuzz!" Casey says.

"Great! And I'm gonna do my best to win this contest for the Pokémon!" Mew says.

"Me too!" Tomo says.

"Me three!" Jen says.

Misty giggles and says, "That's nice, but the blabbering is starting to bug me. Go register."

"Right!" Mew says.

"I'll race you!" Casey says.

"Cool," Jen says.

"Last one there is a Weedle!" Tomo says.

Then the four rush off to sign up for the contest.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket has arrived as well, and are barred from entering the contest.

Jessie is shocked, "WHAT!? What do you mean you can't allow us to enter the contest?!

"Well, the Bug Catching Contest is strictly for kids under sixteen, and you look a whole lot older than that to me!" The employee says.

Jessie sadly sighs, "Hmmm...Let's see. How can I look like I used to?" and reveals Jessie wearing a school uniform with a miniskirt, knee socks, and carrying a school bag, "Look at me! I'm only 13!"

Next is James dressed in a blue jacket with a red bowtie, and shorts.

He giggles and says, "I'm 12!"

Meowth is dressed as a baby with a pacifier in his mouth, "Immm...immm...goo."

Uhhhh..." The employee says, looking dumbfounded.

"Bug-Boy ain't buying this," Meowth says.

"WOBBBBBBB-UH!" (That stings!) Wobbuffet replies.

Jessie growls in anger at the employee, "GRRR! We shouldn't have to wear these stupid getups anyway! Let us into that contest or, believe me, you'll be sorry! Make up your mind!"

"Yo-yo!" James says.

Again, the employee says, "I'm very sorry. But there's nothing I can..."

But Jessie snaps her fingers and says, "Take him away."

And with that, James and Meowth tie up the shocked and bewildered employee and carry him away.

The employee calls out, "Hey, wait!"

"Goodbye," Jessie says.

He then angrily says, "And next time watch who you call old. I don't really look that much older than sixteen, do I?" Then looks back to see her teammates agreeing with her, "Why doesn't somebody say something!?"

"You look like a baby!" James says.

"Yeah! A cute, little, wrinkly baby!" Meowth says.

And Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuffet! Wobbbb! WOBB-BUH! (Bad choice of words! Really! YOOOOOWZER!) And Jessie smacks Wobbuffet with the school bag."

Soon, the contest is about to begin.

The official goes over the rules, "These are the rules of the big Bug Pokémon Contest. Trainers are only allowed to use one Pokémon each. And to catch a bug Pokemon during the contest, you must use one of these special Park Balls. Only one Park Ball is issued to each trainer. Catch one bug Pokémon at a time, and when you think you have a winner, keep it. When time's up, the judging committee will decide the winner. Now, let the Bug Catching Contest, begin!"

And the contest begins, Mew, Tomo, Jen, and Casey head off to find what could be their big catch for the contest. Brock and the others are watching from the monitor.

"There they go," Tomo says.

"I guess these woods are full of bug types," Misty says.

Then Molly asks, "Do you think there are any around here?

"They could be anywhere," Brock says.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others are searching for Bug Pokemon to catch.

"Keep your eyes open, guys. And your ears, too" Mew says.

"Pika," (Okay.) Pikachu says.

And Eevee says, "Eevee." (Alright.)

Rustling in the long grass soon attracts their attention, and a Weedle slithers out of the grass. And then two more pops out.

"It's Weedle!" Mew says.

Then calls out, "Let's try a Thunder Shock!"

Pikachu comes in and shocks one of the Weedles. Seeing her chance, Mew throws the Pokeball, "Go Park Ball!" and catches a Weedle.

"Alright, we got a Weedle," Mew says.

Suddenly, they hear Casey's voice, "Chikorita, Razor Leaf attack!"

Then Chikorita blasts the other Weedle.

"Gotcha!" Casey says and throws the Pokeball, "Now, Park Ball, go!"

Casey throws her Pokeball and catches the other Weedle, "Alright! It's one, nothing!"

"Hi Casey," Mew says.

"Hi Mew," Casey says.

"You sure caught that Weedle fast," Jen says.

"Whenever the other team lets their guard down and the Electabuzz see their chance to steal a home, they do it. And you know why? They play heads-up baseball! Whether it's the top of the first or the bottom of the ninth, I always swing for the fences!"

"I'm sorry, I don't speak baseball," Mew says.

Meanwhile, Misty and the others see Mew and Casey catch a Pokemon.

"Well, looks like Mew and Casey got a good catch," Brock says.

"Yeah," Misty says.

Suddenly, Misty hears Togpei and turns to see Togpei, Pichu, and Molly have made new friends.

On Molly's shoulder is a lime-green arachnid Pokémon whose body is wrapped in a ball of white threads that it secretes from its rear. Its face has white patterns that flank its two eyes on either side, as well as two pairs of protrusions resembling chelicerae and pedipalps, which hides a tiny mouth on the bottom of its head. It has eight spindly legs tipped with a dark green color on the ends.

Next to Togepi and Pichu is a gray, oblong, insectoid Pokémon resembling a grasshopper, with dark gray colorations on its face, back, and legs. Its head has two stubby semicircular antennae, a circle on its snout resembling a mouth or nose, and yellow compound eyes shaped like rounded crosses, complete with cross-shaped black pupils. Its body is divided by lines into multiple segments, and it has an X-shaped pattern on its underside. It has six legs: two pairs of legs are located on the sides of its body, and each of the forelimbs are dark gray and contain a single claw. The third pair of legs is located above its body and is much larger; they are oblong in shape and solid dark gray in color, with light gray ring patterns over the joints.

"Aww, looks like Molly, Togpei, and Pichu made a new friend," Misty says.

"Never seen those Bug Pokemon before," Brock says.

"Huh. I wonder if they're Paldea Pokemon," Misty says.

Meanwhile, at a waterfall deep in the park, Team Rocket are up to another one of their plans.

Annoyed that she's dressed in a Venomoth costume, Jessie says, "I don't see why I have to be the bait."

"Coz you're suited for da part, Jessie!" Meowth answers.

And James says, "You look positively alluring!"

"You really think so?" Jessie asks.

And happily says, "Well, I do suppose my poise and my exceptional good looks are rather magnetic! Could any species resist my beauty? Not likely."

Soon, a Venomoth approaches.

"Look! A Venomoth! "James notices.

"And it's spotted ya!" Meowth says.

Then Venomoth approaches Jessie with curiosity.

"It's curious," James says.

Then Meowth says, "Okay, Jess. Toin on the charm."

Jessie giggles, "Well, I'll try. Hi! Don't be bashful. Let's get acquainted, shall we?"

However, Venomoth turns and flees at top speed, leaving behind spores to dissuade pursuit.

Upset, Jessie shouts, "Come back here! You can't reject me!" But notices the spore coming down on her, "Must be Stun Spore." and collapses to the ground, slightly shaking, "This won't work, these Bug Pokémon don't know a good thing when they see it."

And it's revealed that James and Meowth ar hit with Stun Spore as well

"Let's go to Plan B," James says.

And Meowth says, "Yeah, or maybe Plan Beedrill."

Meanwhile, Casey and Chikorita are still searching for more Big Types.

"Let's do a little bug hunting, Chikorita," Casey says.

And Chikorita agrees.

Casey calls out, "Okay, Tackle attack that tree!"

Chikorita charges and hits the target, knocking down a group of Pineco.

"Alright!" Casey happily says.

Meanwhile, the rest watches the event, and the two new Pokemon friends are with them a well, both sitting on Molly and Misty's lap

"Those are Pineco! They're not bug Pokemon!" Misty says.

But Brock says, "They may not look it, but they are. They evolve into Forretress."

For bug Pokémon, they're not too bad," Misty says.

Meanwhile, the Pineco charges at Chikorita.

Casey calls out, "They're gonna try to Tackle you, Chikorita! (puts on umpire gear) When a runner comes charging home, you gotta block the plate!"

Chikortia retaliates with a series of tackles of its own along with fast dodging.

Casey calls out, "Don't let em score on you, Chikorita!"

Soon, Mew and the others come up from behind.

"Pineco, huh? Better be careful, Pineco have the advantage over Chikorita," Mew says.

"I know it," Casey says, "But a good offense is the best defense."

Then calls out to Chikorita, "Chikorita, send your whole batting order up to the plate, now! Hit, hit, hit, and clean up! Go, Razor Leaf!"

The attack launches and hits the whole swarm.

Jen says, "I'll help you Casey. Amaura, use Aurora Beam!"

Amaura then uses the attack to hit the swarm as well.

Casey and Jen then throw their Park Balls, "Go!"

And each of them catches a Pineco.

"A winning inning!" Brock says.

"Wow! Chikorita's an all-star!" Misty says.

"We're two for two! We beat the Weedle and the Pineco! We'll beat even better bugs! Won't we, Chikorita?!" Casey says.

Then Casey heads off with Chikorita.

"This game isn't over yet, guys. Let's go," Mew says.

Everyone agrees.

Misty turns to the others, "Everyone is doing well, especially Casey."

"She's definitely got momentum on her side," Brock says.

Unknown to the others, Togpei and Pichu wander off.

"Yeah. It's going to be difficult to tell who's going to win this contest," Misty says.

Meanwhile, Chikorita is starting to get exhausted.

Casey turns to Chikorita, "Hey, what's the matter, Chikorita? We gotta keep our team spirit high till we win the game!"

Chikorita agrees and presses on. Soon,Casey spots something ahead, a Scyther.

"Alright! A Scyther! This is our big chance! If we bring back a Scyther, we're almost guaranteed to win the contest!" Casey says with confidence.

Chikorita agrees with confidence as well.

Casey says, "First, we'll knock it out of the box and show it who's boss! Play ball! Razor Leaf attack!"

The attack lands, but Chikorita is breathing hard.

"Strike one! Nice pitch, Chikorita!" Casey says.

However, Scyther gets back up and is ready to fight, and charges towards the worried Chikorita.

Casey calls out, "Don't be afraid now, Chikorita! Stay tough and hang in there!"

Scyther lands an attack at Chikorita, causing everyone who is watching to worry.

"Chikorita!" Misty cries out in worry.

Chikorita soon falls to the ground

Casey then calls out,"Chikorita, don't give up! The count's one and one! Throw a Razor Leaf!"

Chikorita soon gets back up and charges in for a better shot, but Scyther strikes back again.

Casey calls out, "Come on, Chikorita! The count's two and one! You can't let Scyther walk! Try another Razor Leaf!"

Chikorita uses Razor Leaf, but Scyther blocks and reflects the attack. Some fly back at Chikorita.

Casey calls out, "It's a line drive! Look out!"

But the reflected attack hit Chikorita hard.

"Oh, no! Chikorita, get up! And hurry! Casey calls out.

Chikorita struggles to get back on its feet as Scyther charges again, but Chikorita leaps into the battle once more and lands on Scyther's face, blinding it. Chikorita struggles to hang on.

Casey calls out, "Keep it up, Chikorita! You're not out of the inning yet!

Suddenly, Mew's voice calls out, "Casey, this isn't fair!"

Casey turns around in surprise, which turns to slight annoyance, "Tough luck! I saw this Scyther way before you did!"

"I'm not talking about me, this isn't fair to Chikorita! You're pushing it too hard. It's barely hanging on, it's too weak to attack," Mew says.

Casey rebuttals, "What do you know? Chikorita's gonna do whatever I tell it to."

Hearing its trainer, Chikorita gets distracted, allowing Scyther to swat it off its face and into a tree

"Chikorita, no!" Casey cries out.

Scyther charges in.

But Mew intervenes, "Pikachu, use your Thunder Shock attack!"

Pikachu fires the attack and saves Chikorita from being sliced.

Mew then calls out, "Hey! Over here! Over here!

"Pika Pika!" (Come and get us!)

"Eevee Eevee?!" (Bet you can't?!) Eevee calls out.

"What's the matter, Scyther? Tired?" Mew teases.

Then the three mock Scyther, gaming its attention angrily while Casey looks rather baffled.

"We'll handle Scyther! You let Chikorita get some rest!" Mew says.

Then Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee run off with Scyther in pursuit.

Tomo turns to Jen, "Come on, let's go follow them."

"Right," Jen says.

And Tomo, Jen, and their Pokemon follow them as well.

Casey soon grows rather irritated, "We'll just see about that! Chikorita! We can't let it get away with…" but soon notices Chikorita is gone, "Chikorita? Chikorita?!"

Back at the stands, the group watches what happened.

"Looks like Team Casey may have to hit the showers," Brock says.

Suddenly, Misty notices Togepi and Pichu are not there, "Togepi? Pichu?

Suddenly, Brock notices something on the screen, "Misty, look there!"

The group looks to see Togepi and Pichu have wandered into the contest area.

Misty is shocked, "Togepi! Pichu!"

Meanwhile, in the forest, Chikorita is sitting on the ground, feeling tired and discouraged.

"Toge Toge?" (Chikorita?) Togepi questions.

Chikorita looks and sees Togepi and Pichu coming their way.

Pichu asks, "Pichu Pichu? (I thought you were with Casey.)

"Chiko," (I was.) Chikorita says.

Then Togepi asks, "Toge? Toge Toge." (Was? But you're in the contest.)

Chikorita shakes its head and says, "Chiko." (Not anymore.)

Soon, Casey comes running over, "Hey, Chikorita! Let's get Scyther!"

However, Chikorita gets up and walks away, "Hey, you get back here! Quitters aren't allowed on this team! We have to win this game!"

The rest of the gang soon arrive as Casey berates Chikorita, and have heard everything.

Misty says, "At least someone knows when to quit!"

"What do you mean?" Casey asks.

Togepi and Pichu are happy to see their mommy.

"Togepi. Pichu," Misty says, picks up her Pokemon, and hugs them, "Oh, you had me so worried." Then turns to Misty, "Casey."

"What, Misty?" Casey asks.

Misty then questions, "What's more important to you, winning some contest, or the well-being of your Pokemon?"

"How can you even ask me that? My Pokémon means everything to me!" Casey angrily says, which catches Chikorita's attention and looks to hear the conversation.

"Well, if that's true, you sure have a funny way of showing it," Misty says.

Casey is even more confused.

Misty continues, "Chikorita knocked itself out for you, but you're so focused on winning you can't see when it's too exhausted to battle."

"Well…" Casey tries to speak.

But Brock also says, "Your feelings aren't the only ones that count."

The words get through to Casey, and she drops to her knees in tears as Chikorita rushes out of the bushes to her,

"You came back," Casey says, relieved.

In remorse, Casey says, "Chikorita. I'm sorry, Chikorita. I pushed you way too hard. I was thinking so much about winning that... I forgot all about caring. I've been so selfish. Please, Chikorita. Please forgive me!"

Chikorita touches the tip of Casey's cap.

"Chikorita," Casey says.

Chikorita happily says, "Chiko." (Casey.)

Then Chikorita nuzzles up to Casey and Casey gives Chikorita a hug.

"I don't deserve a Pokemon like you. Thank you so so much!" Mew says.

Misty and the others are glad that Casey and Chikorita made up.

Meanwhile, Tomo and Jen are soon fighting against Scyther after chasing Mew and her Pokemon.

"Meloetta, use Psybeam!" Tomo calls out.

Meloetta uses Psybeam and it strikes Scyther with full force.

Then Tomo calls out, "Use Hyper voice."

Meloetta lets out a Hyper Voice, distracting Scyther. Then something falls out of the tree nearby and lands on Jen's head.

Tomo then throws the Pokeball, "Go Park Ball!"

The Park Ball hits Scyther and Tomo is able to catch it.

"That was too close," Tomo says.

Mew, Eevee, and Pikachu peek from the bushes.

"Yeah. Thanks for helping us," Mew says.

Unknown to Mew, something crawls on to her bag, and sneaks inside. Then hear something behind them. They turn to see glowing red eyes staring at them. Soon, the eyes revealed to be a swarm of Beedrill.

Mew cries out, "Beedrill!"

Everyone gets out of the way of the swarm. Some even begin to charge in towards them.

Mew calls out, "Eevee, try a Thunderbolt!"

Eevee then uses Thunderbolt and shocks some of the Beedrill.

"Nice job!" Mew says and brings out her Park Ball.

She then throws it, "Park Ball, go!"

The Park Ball hits right on the target, and Mew catches it, the ball starts to wiggle around before it stops and pings, and the catch is a success.

"Alright! We caught a Beedrill!" Mew says.

"That was great," Tomo says.

"Yeah. Great catch," Jen says.

"Thanks," Mew says. Then notices the Pokemon in Jen's arms, "That's an interesting catch as well."

In Jen's arms is a small, brown, beetle-like Pokémon. It has four horn-like protrusions on its head, and its face is pink with lazy eyes, a bulbous nose, and black curved stripes over and under it that resemble a unibrow and a chinstrap beard. Its abdomen has a rounded yellow pattern, and it has four long limbs, each tipped with two claws. On its back is a random pattern of beige stripes resembling a maze.

"I agree," Jen says as the Pokemon climbs on Jen's head.

"What Pokemon is that?" Tomo asks.

"Let's see," Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex.

Dexter says, "Rellor, the Rolling Pokemon. A Bug Type. This Pokémon creates a mud ball by mixing sand and dirt with psychic energy. It treasures its mud ball more than its own life. Place of origin is the Paldea Region."

"Cool, we found another one of the Pokemon," Tomo says.

"Yeah," Mew says. "Come on, let's continue forward."

But before they can, the ground suddenly gives out under them as they fall into a pit.

"Don't worry. It's just a lame Team Rocket trap," Mew says, annoyed.

Soon, a cage wall comes up around then, followed by the roof with a hook.

"Maybe not, Mew says.

As they're being hoisted up, Team Rocket performs their motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble, you're behind bars!

James:

Make it double, now Pikachu's ours!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation.

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie:

Jessie!

Jessie appears in a kimono with a little Goldeen in a plastic bag filled with water.

James:

James.

James is seen with a candy-cane and plate of goodies in his hands.

Jessie:

Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight.

Meowth:

Meowth, dat's right!

Meowth is seen holding a banana with chocolate sauce.

Mew shouts, "Let us go!"

"No chance, twoip! We got ya right where we want ya!" Meowth says.

Pikachu tries to shock the cage apart, but repels back. Everyone quickly dodges.

Meowth laughs,"We got dem two bolted up lock, stock and shock!"

"Just like a little lightning bug!" James says.

"Exactly," Jessie says and laughs, "Who knew bug collecting could be so much fun?"

Jen turns to the others and asks, "What are we going to do?"

"We gotta get out of this cage somehow," Mew says.

Suddenly, they hear Casey, Brock, Misty, and Molly's voices. They look down to see the gang running towards them, having seen Team Rocket's balloon and hear Team Rocket laughing.

"Hang on, guys!" Casey calls out.

Seeing Casey, Meowth asks, "Who's she?"

"I don't know," Jessie says.

Casey calls out from below, "Let 'em go, Team Rocket! They're out of your league!"

Jessie and James soon recognize her, "It's that pep squad girl from the Electabuzz losers."

"Who are you calling losers? The Electabuzz are great!" Casey says angrily.

Team Rocket brushes it off, "They stink."

"Wobb-uffet!" (REALLY stink.) Wobbuffet says,

"Oh, yeah? That shows how much you know about baseball!" Casey calls out.

"Wobb-uffet." (Guess she's right.) Wobbuffet replies.

"She's right, huh?" Meowth says.

Jessie then says, "I should start reading the sports page."

"You're the only ones who are losers here! Casey says.

"Wobbuffet," (We usually are.) Wobbuffet says.

Annoyed, Jessies pushes Wobbuffet down, "Well, today, we're gonna be winners!"

Suddenly, a giant mechanical net comes down and towards the group.

Mew calls out, "Casey! Quick! Get away!"

"Pika Pika! (Before they get you!) Pikachu cries out.

And Eevee says, "Eevee!" (Hurry!)

But Casey refuses, "No way! You helped us, now we're helping you! Right?"

Chikorita confirms it.

Casey calls out, "Chikorita, Razor Leaf attack!"

Chikorita launches the attack, but the net blocks it with ease.

James laughs, "Ha ha! We made the catch!"

"Now I guess we'll all have to start using baseball terms," Jessie replies.

Then Meowth says, "Dis is da bottom of da ninth, and you already got two strikes against ya, kid! And dis flaming fast-ball's gonna end da game!" and push a button.

And soon releases a giant baseball that is a missile. It drops down out of the basket and prepares to blast off towards them.

Brock cries out, "Oh no!"

"It's a missile!" Misty says.

Molly asks, "What do we do?

Casey soon looks at Chikorita, "Chikorita, we may be down to our last strike, but that doesn't mean we can't still win this game. But to do it, we have to hit a grand slam home run!

"CHIKA!" (LET'S DO IT!) Chikorita says and begins to glow, catching everyone's attention.

Casey asks in surprise, "Chikorita?"

"What's happening?!" Misty asks.

Jen asks, "Is that…?"

"Chikorita's evolving," Mew says.

When the light dies down, Chikorita has evolved. It's now a quadrupedal, pale-yellow reptilian Pokémon that resembles a sauropod dinosaur. It has a long neck, red eyes, a short, rounded snout, and a stubby tail. Each foot has a single, light gray nail. Sprouting from its forehead is a green leaf that curves back over its head and around its neck are a series of tightly curled leaves. Inside the leaves are small tree shoots.

"Oh, wow!" Tomo says, amazed.

Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says, "Bayleef, the Leaf Pokemon, the evolved form of Chikorita. A Grass Type. Bayleef emits a spicy aroma from the leaves around its neck and its Razor Leaf is extremely powerful."

"This is great! You evolved!" Casey says, amazed.

"Bay Bay!" (Pretty cool, right?) Bayleaf says.

Casey says, "You're just the power hitter we need, Bayleef!"

Bayleef feels flattered and touched, "Bay!" (And how!)

"A Bayleef?!" James questions in surprise.

"Now her, team doesn't stink," James says.

"Actually, it smells delightful," Meowth says, smelling the aroma.

James feels the same, "Deliciously fragrant."

"Wobb-uffet!" (Heavenly!) Wobbuffet says.

Jessie pushes Wobbuffet down again, "Keep your nose out of this! Well, don't just stand around sniffing! Launch the missile!"

Soon, the missile fires.

"Okay, Bayleef, just keep your eye on the ball, take your best swing and give it everything!" Casey says.

Bay! (No problem!) Bayleef says.

Casey calls out, "Razor Leaf attack, now!"

Bayleef launches the attack, the rope holding the cage is cut and the missile is destroyed.

"We did it! Over the wall!" Casey cheers.

Soon, Mew and the others are free.

"Pikachu, Eevee, let's help em clinch this game!" Mew says.

"Pika!/Vee!" (Right on!) Pikachu and Eevee answer.

Meowth grows worried, "This could be a shut-out!"

Then James says, "Maybe we should forfeit!"

"I think they may send us down to the minors!" Jessie adds in a panic.

Wobbuffet pops out again, but is pushed down by Jessie before it can reply.

Then Mew says, "Pikachu, Eevee, let's knock em out of the park with a Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu and Eevee leap into the battle and give Team Rocket a Thunderbolt attack. That sends the balloon up smoke while Team Rocket is blasting off.

Tam Rocket cries out, "That's strike three!"

"Wobb-uffet!" (AND we're out!) Wobbuffet cries out.

And Team Rocket screams, "We're blasting off again!"

Later the final judging of the contest has been decided.

The official announces, "The winner is Mew, for capturing a beautiful Beedrill! And as his reward, he'll receive a Sun Stone and he'll keep the Beedrill."

Beedrill is recalled into the Pokeball and presented to Mew.

"Congratulations," The official says.

Mew smiles and says, "Thank you very much, sir."

And Mew is given a Sun Stone, the others cheer as Mew has won the contest.

Later, the group are about to say farewell to Casey and Bayleaf.

"I'm glad you won the contest, Mew, cause you deserve it," Casey says.

But Mew says, "If Team Rocket hadn't gotten in the way, I think maybe you would've won."

"Well, I've got my Bayleef, so I feel like a winner, anyway. But next time, watch out, because we don't like to lose! Right, Bayleef?" Casey says.

"Bay!" (Right!) Bayleef replies.

Then Casey says, "And Molly, Jen, and Molly are winners in catching new Pokemon."

"I guess you're right," Jen says.

"Yeah," Molly replies.

Then Mew realizes something, "Oh yeah." And brings out the Pokeball containing the Beedrill she has won, "I think you should be the one to have this Beedrill, Casey." Then hands it to Casey, "After all, you and Bayleef got me out of Team Rocket's batting cage, and I know how much you love yellow-striped Pokemon."

With teary eyes, Casey says, "You mean it? You're really giving it to me, Mew?" And wipes her tears, "Thank you so much. I always wanted to have a Beedrill. I'll raise it well."

"That's good to hear," Mew says.

Suddenly, Casey, and Molly notice something about Mew's bag.

"Uh Mew, why is your bag shaking?" Casey asks.

"Huh?" Mew says, confused.

Mew looks at her bag and opens it to reveal a small Pokemon. It's a black larval Pokémon with a relatively large head. Its head is bisected by a line that runs from the forehead to the mouth. It has large beige eyes with square black pupils, a single pointed tooth that pokes out of its mouth, and three white hairs on top of its head. It a three-segmented body with a pair of nubby, beige legs on each segment. A white ruff of fur encircles its neck, and there is a large beige spot on its rear.

"A Pokemon," Brock says, surprised.

"Looks like I got a stowaway," Mew says.

"It's cute," Molly says.

Mew brings out her Pokedex as she picks up the Pokemon.

Dexter says, "Scatterbug, the Scatterdust Pokemon. A Bug Type. When under attack from bird Pokémon, it spews a poisonous black powder that causes paralysis on contact."

"Interesting self defense," Mew says.

"Scatter," (Thanks.) Scatterbug says.

Then Misty asks, "What about the Pokemon that Molly and I found?"

Mew points her Pokedex to the one Misty has on her shoulder, Dexter says, "Nymble, the Grasshopper Pokemon. A Grass Type. It has its third set of legs folded up. When it's in a tough spot, this Pokémon jumps over 30 feet using the strength of its legs. Its main habitat is in the Paladea Region.

"Wow. You're quite the jumper, huh," Misty says.

Mew then points the Pokedex to the one Molly has, Dexter says, "Tarountula, the String Bug Pokemon. A Bug Type. The thread it secretes from its rear is as strong as wire. The secret behind the thread's strength is the topic of ongoing research. This Pokemon originated in the Paladea Region."

"Wow. We found more Paladea Region Pokemon," Brock says.

"Sounds cool," Mew says, and turns to Scatterbug, "Scatterbug is from the Kalos Region."

Scatterbug nuzzles Mew cheek.

"Looks like you got a new companion," Brock says.

Casey smiles and says, "Well then, looks like we better get going. Thank you all. And to thank you for everything you've done, I'm gonna treat you to my favorite Electabuzz fight song!

The group sweat drops to hear that.

Casey:

Let's all cheer Electabuzz, greatest team of all!

The players charge the field and Double Team the ball!

They're the crew with Mega Punch when they're in a crunch!

Metronome!

Safe at home!

Hyper Beam, too!

As the group listen to Casey's spirited team song, Mew and the others will once again return to the road, along with new Pokemon friends by their side. The road will lead them to more adventures as they continue through to the Johto League.

Suddenly, Casey says, "Don't forget, root for the Electabuzz!"

"Bay!" (Yeah!) Bayleef replies.
