Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

Chapter 196: Chapter 52: Fossil Fools

This adventure begins when Mew and her friends are walking up the wall to see something amazing.

"It's huge!" Mew says.

They soon find themselves in front of a large canyon that is full of ancient ruins. This place is known as the Ruins of Alph, an important archaeological site where fossils of many prehistoric Pokémon have been discovered. As they walks through the canyon, they notices a fossil formation

"Those look like the bones of an Aerodactyl," Mew says.

Then Professor Oak, walks up from behind and says, "That's exactly what they're from, Ash."

"Hi, Professor Oak," The group says.

"You can always tell an Aerodactyl fossil because the tail looks like an arrow," Professor Oak says.

"That's pretty easy to remember," Tomo says.

"Kind of reminds me of Mew's Aerodactyl," Misty says.

Moments later, the group continues to head through the site with Professor Oak.

"I hope I didn't make you come too far out of your way," Professor Oak says.

But Mew says, "We would've walked twenty miles to see this place."

"The message you left us at the Pokemon Center said you wanted to show us something here," Brock says.

"That's right. He was very mysterious about it on the phone, but an old student of mine just made an incredible discovery and invited me to see it," Professor Oak says.

Soon, Mew and her friends meet Professor Oak's former student. Soon, the two shake hands.

"Professor! I'm so glad to see you again!" The student says.

"It's been a long time, Foster. You're looking well," Professor Oak says.

Then introduces the others to him, "These are my friends. Everyone, say hello to Foster, he was one of my top students at Celadon University."

"Nice to meet you," Everyone replies.

"This is a surprise. I thought you'd come alone," Foster says, sounding surprised.

"Well, I knew the youngsters would get a kick out of seeing what you've dug up," Professor Oak says.

Foster then takes Professor Oak's by the arm, "May I have a word with you?"

Once he's a distance away, Foster says to Professor Oak, softly, "This discovery I've made is extremely important to science and it could be very newsworthy, if a word about it leaked out there'd be cameras and reporters everywhere."

"I understand, but these kids are serious Pokémon trainers and I'm sure they won't say a word until you make it public," Professor Oak says.

The group sparkles in excitement.

"We won't tell anyone about it! Honest! Mew says

"Yeah! Please let us see it," Misty says.

"Pretty please!" Brock begs.

Tomo, Jen and Molly say, "Please!"

"Well, if the Professor says it's okay, I suppose it is," Foster says.

Mew says in excitement, "I can't wait to see what it is."

"Me too," Tomo says.

Jen soon looks to see an archaeologist working on something.

Jen asks, "What's he doing?"

"He's removing the dirt from a fossil fragment we just found. The water jet removes dirt and other deposits that are too small for a brush to get without damaging the specimen," Foster answers.

"Oh," Jen replies.

Foster continues, "Once the fossils are cleaned, we run a computer analysis on them. That determines what they are and from what Pokemon."

Suddenly, it hits a snag.

"Uh oh!" the worker says.

"Oh no!" Foster says, concerned.

"What's the trouble?" Foster asks.

"Lately, we've been having water flow problems. A steady water supply is critical to our research facility," Foster says.

"Where's the source?" Professor Oak asks.

"A natural reservoir. It's deep in the woods, but it's well known for having crystal clear water," Foster says.

Meanwhile, out in the woods near the reservoir, Team Rocket is pumping out the water and into the truck.

"Pump! Pump! Pump!" Moewth says, and laughs.

It's revealed that they are taking the water, putting them in bottles, hoping to sell them.

James labels the bottle and lets out a sign, "This is unbelievably boring."

"Of course it's boring, but at least we've found a way to make a little money," Jessie says.

"Wobb-uffet." (All too true.) Wobbuffet says.

"Well, as long as you're out, you might as well work," Jessie says, handing Wobbuffet the bottle of water.

Meowth chuckles, "The water here in Alph is famous all over the whole woild! We'll all get rich selling this stuff!"

"I'll be rich at last! I can picture it now! I'll buy the best of everything! Gowns, gold, diamonds, as long as they're expensive... and tasteful!" Jessie says as she fantasizes.

"I'm spending my dough on someting tasteful, too. A never ending supply of da most tasteful grub I can get my paws on!" Meowth says, in his fantasy.

James grins, "YES! I'll dine in style! No more of those day old sushi bars for me!"

Team Rocket lets out a sign, "Ahhhh."

"Then let's keep on pumping!" Jessie says, and everyone agrees.

Suddenly, they hit a snag and the pump stops.

Meowth jiggles the pump, but it's not working, "Huh? What? Something must be clogging up the pumper."

"Maybe we'd better help out," Jessie says, and hands James a wrench, "Here James, lend a hand."

"You said we!" James says, shocked.

"Wobbuh... fet! ("She meant you.) Wobbuffet says.

Back at the facility, Foster is leading Professor Oak and the others towards his big discovery. As they walk through the facility, they get to see the number of fossils and artifacts.

"Foster, you have an amazing collection of ancient Pokemon fossils and artifacts here," Professor Oak says,"

"Thanks," Foster says.

Then the group stops in front of a skeleton.

Foster says, "Here's one I'm really proud of, Professor. It's an almost perfect, preserved skeleton of Kabutops,"

"How old is this one?" Brock asks.

"Well, our studies indicate that the first Pokemon appeared about two million years ago," Froster says, "But because we found this skeleton in a newly excavated layer of sediment, I believe our Kabutops here may be somewhat older. Maybe as much as ten or twenty million years."

"I recall that you proposed an interesting thesis when you were a student of mine," Professor Oak says.

"And the more I studied, the more convinced I am of the aquatic origin of Pokémon life," Foster says.

"You mean all Pokémon came from the water?" Misty asks, becoming very interested.

Then Foster says, "The oldest Pokémon fossils come from the ancient seas, incontrovertible evidence that Pokémon life had its beginnings beneath the waves!"

This has Misty very excited, "Foster, this could be the most important discovery in the whole entire history of Pokémon!" that sparkles comes out of her eyes.

"Uh, I don't think it's that important," Foster says, sounding uneasy.

"I love water Pokémon more than anything!" Misty says, and gets lost in her fantasy, "Water Pokemon are so mystical and mysterious! Oh, but their little gills and fins and flippers are so cute and cuddly! Water Pokémon Rule! Maybe you need an assistant to help you."

Brock grabs Misty by the ear and drags her away, "Time to dry up, water girl."

Soon, everyone arrives at the restricted area to see the new discovery.

"Behind these doors is a place two million years in the Pokémon past," Foster says.

With a push of a button, the door opens into a giant atrium. They walk inside the room, and a large aerodactyl flies over.

"What's that?" Brock asks.

"That's our archaeologically correct Aerodactyl. We created it especially for this exhibit using advanced modeling technology," Foster says.

"It's a robot?" Misty asks.

"Well, yes," Foster says.

"It's very convincing," Brock says.

Molly then asks, "What do you call this place?"

"I call it the Ancient Pokémon Study Park. It's a unique, interactive, educational, amusement environment that recreates the world of prehistoric Pokemon. And when it's finished next year, visitors will experience a land of lost Pokémon," Foster says.

"We're getting our own private preview," Tomo says.

"Wait till the kids back home hear about this!" Mew says.

Soon, they hear a boom sound and turn to see a volcano.

"A volcano!" Brock says, amazed

"Of course, volcanoes are pretty important. Volcanic activity in the old stone age kept things constantly changing, and the creatures that lived back then had to learn to adapt," Foster says.

"You should be proud of yourself, Foster. This place is an astounding archaeological and technological marvel," Professor Oak says.

Soon enough, everyone came to a little lake in the atrium.

Tomo notices the green stuff on the rocks, "What's the green stuff that's all over these rocks?"

"Looks like, it's glowing," Misty says.

"That's called Glowing Lican," Professor Oak says.

"Glowing Lican?" Molly asks.

"We know that this type of lican was abundant on prehistoric coastlines from studying fossilized Pokémon shells," Foster says.

"Fossils sure teach you a lot," Mew says.

"Over many centuries, Pokémon adapted to their environments in lots of different ways," Foster says.

The group looks at a statue of a Kabutops attacking and taking down a giant fish.

"They're gigantic!" Mew says, amazed.

"This is what a Kabutops Maximus looked like in its natural habitat about a million years ago," Foster says.

"But how did you find that out, Foster?" Misty asks.

Foster explains, "Our research team just unearthed several in positions that suggest this type of encounter. A few of the fossils they discovered had Kabutops fangs and claws embedded in them. It's amazing what you can create with a lot of knowledge and just a little bit of imagination."

"When are we gonna see your big discovery?" Mew asks.

"Let's finish this first, then we'll see," Foster says.

Professor Oak smiles and says, "That's what I used to say to get you off my back."

Foster stumbles a bit when he remembers what Professor Oak means.

And Foster says, "Well, this is why I called you here, Professor. So I guess I'll have to show it to you sooner or later. I can't guarantee it, but if we stand very still, three of my big discoveries may make an appearance. Keep your fingers crossed."

(But why?) The Pokemon asks.

Suddenly, they notice something emerging from the water. Coming out of the water are two Omanyte and an Omanstar.

"What are they?" Brock asks, surprised.

"Those two are Omanyte," Mew says.

"That's right. And with them is an Omanstar," Professor Oak says.

"That's amazing!" Professor Oak says.

"They're cool. They almost look real," Molly says.

Then Tomo turns to Mew, "Kind of like yours, Mew."

Soon, the prehistoric Pokemon comes up on the beach. Suddenly, Professor Oak and Mew become shocked to see them. Foster kneels down to communicate with them.

"This can't be!" Professor Oak says, shocked.

"That's neat! How do you make em do that?" Tomo asks.

Pikachu decides to get a closer look, but gets spooked when one touches him and realizes that it's real.

"It's alright Pikachu, it's alright," Mew says.

Determined, Professor Oak asks, "Tell me now, are these creatures what I think they are, Foster?

"That depends, Professor Oak. What do you believe they are?" Professor Oak says.

I believe they're real!" Professor Oak says.

This catches everyone by surprise,

"They're not fake?" Misty asks, shocked.

"They must be!" Brock says, shocked.

But Foster says, "Fraid not. They're real, live Pokémon."

"Amazing!" Professor Oak says.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, points to Omanyte, and Dexter says, "Omanyte, the Spiral Pokémon. A Rock and Water Type, Believed to have lived over 2 million years ago. Recent research indicates that it was able to control its buoyancy, by storing and releasing air in its shell." Then Dexter points to Omastar, "Omastar, the evolved form of Omanyte. A Rock and Water Type. This extinct Pokémon is believed to have used its sharp fangs to break through the shells of its prey in order to feed."

"It has everything right except the extinct part," Foster says.

"So you mean, they're…" Molly asks, shocked.

Everyone, but Mew says in shock, "They're really real?!"

Spooked by the sudden outburst, the Pokemon bury themselves into the sand.

"Funny. I never would've guessed they'd be afraid of us," Professor Oak says.

"They're still a little bit jumpy, Professor. They haven't seen people in ages," Foster says.

"This must be the most important discovery in the history of Pokémon!" Molly says, amazed.

Mew giggles, "For some reason, I'm getting flashbacks of what happened at Grandpa Canyon."

"Or on Fukuhara Island," Tomo says.

"This kind of reminds me of Jurassic Island," Jen says.

"Where did you ever find them, Foster?" Misty asks.

And Brock asks, "Are there any more of them around?"

"They found me, and I don't know if there are anymore. I sure hope so," Professor Oak says.

"I'm a bit overwhelmed. This is like a boyhood dream come true," Professor Oak says.

One of the Omanyte peeks out of the sand.

Professor Oak introduces himself, "I'm Professor Oak, and I'm very pleased to meet you." and extends his hand.

The Omanyte comes out to feel it and familiarize itself with it.

"Look at that," Jen says.

"It was an Omanyte that first sparked my interest in Pokemon research. When I was six, my class visited a Pokemon museum. The first thing I saw was an Omanyte shell. The spirals on it were so beautiful," Professor Oak says.

As he speaks, the other Omanyte and Omastar come out.

Still amazed, Professor Oak says, "And right now, it feels like I'm meeting old friends for the first time."

"By the way, you said that you discovered more than these three? Where are they?" Mew asks.

Suddenly, they hear heavy footsteps, catching everyone by surprise.

"It looks like they're just arriving," Foster says.

Everyone turns their heads in surprise to see a large Pokemon, with a smaller Pokemon on it. A Mamoswine and a small Aerodactyl.

"Wow. It's a Mamoswine and Aerodactyl," Mew says, amazed.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Mamoswine, the Twin Tusk Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Swinub. An Ice and Ground Type. It flourished worldwide during the ice age but its population declined when the masses of ice began to dwindle."

Then points to Aerodactyl, and Dexter says, "Aerodactyl, the Fossil Pokemon. A Rock and Flying Type. It's a Pokémon that roamed the skies in the dinosaur era. Its teeth are like saw blades."

"Wow. It's even bigger than the one my sister has back in the Orange Islands," Jen says, amazed.

"The Orange Island, huh. Then I have to guess that you're Kate's sister. I heard that Kate has prehistoric Pokemon and I always like to learn about how she raised her Pokemon and about their habitats," Foster says.

Molly walks to the Pokemon, "Hello. I'm Molly, it's nice to meet you."

Mamoswine walks up to Molly and gives her a sniff. After sniffing her, Mamoswine licks her, making her giggle. The Aerodactyl lands next to Molly and it's practically close to her size, and it is almost like a baby. The little Aerodactyl sniffs at Molly and begins nuzzling her.

"Aww, it's so cute," Molly says, and pets the little Aerodactyl.

"Look like those two were able to adjust to people just fine," Foster says.

Then notices, "And here comes the others as well."

Just then, approaching the group are two more Pokemon, and the group is surprised to see how big they are.

The first one is a bipedal, dinosaurian Pokémon that resembles a large theropod. It is predominantly brownish red with scaly patterns on its skin and scattered orange highlights on some scales and ridges. Its head is proportionately large with a blunt, ridged snout and powerful jaws. It has black around its eyes and a light gray lower jaw covered by a beard of white, primitive feathers. Several sharp teeth are visible in the lower jaw, while the upper jaw is lined with orange-tipped, tooth-like projections. Over its eyes is a row of five spikes resembling a crown. Around its neck is a feathery white ruff that extends over its shoulders similar to a cape. Its underbelly is gray with white borders and there are two orange spikes near the tip of its long tail. Its small forelimbs have only two black-clawed digits each, but it has powerful hind legs with three black claws each. Plated, armor-like ridges cover its knees, back, and the top of its tail.

The second is a quadrupedal, dinosaurian Pokémon that resembles a sauropod. It is primarily blue with a light blue underside. It has bright blue eyes, a long neck, and a long, tapering tail with a teardrop-shaped tip. On its head is a V-shaped white marking with a single, light blue crystal in the center. Two large, flowing sails extend from the top of its head and run down the length of its neck. The sails are pale whitish-yellow at the base and fade into a pale bluish-purple at the edges. There are three clawed toes on its hind legs, but one large nail and a single claw on its forelegs.

"Wow. That one is larger than my Tyrunt," Tomo says, surprised, pointing to the large theropod Pokemon.

"That one is Tyrantrum. It's actually your Tyrunt's evolved form," Jen says.

"Looks very cool," Mew says, and points her Pokedex at the Pokemon.

Dexter says, "Tyrantrum, the Despot Pokemon and the evolved form of Tyrunt. A Rock and Dragon Type. The king of the ancient world. It can easily crunch a car with the devastating strength of its enormous jaws."

Then Jen points to the other one, "And that one is Aurorous. Amaura's evolved form."

"It's beautiful," Misty says.

Mew points her Pokedex at the Pokemon, and Dexter says, "Aurorus, the Tundra Pokemon and the evolved form of Amaura. A Rock and Ice Type. The diamond-shaped crystals on its body expel air as cold as -240 degrees Fahrenheit, surrounding its enemies and encasing them in ice."

Aurorus then leans its head towards Jen's Amaura as Amaura walks over to it in amazement. Then Aurorus licks Amaura gently on the head. Jen smiles to see the two Pokemon are getting along.

"I'll bet Tyrunt, will like to see this," Tomo says, and calls out Tyrunt.

Tyrunt comes out and instantly sees Tyrantrum.

"You see Tyrunt, this is what you'll evolve too someday," Tomo says.

Jen and Mew end up calling out Swinub, Omanyte, Aerodactyl to meet with the others. Needless to say, the Pokemon are already getting along.

"I can see why you trust them, professor. They have Pokemon of their own, and they seem to get along with them," Foster says.

"I know, and they really cared for our Pokemon," Professor Oak says.

He then turns to Foster, "Tell me, Foster. Tell me how you found these absolutely incredible creatures."

"I didn't. One morning I came here to check out the exhibits, and they were in the lagoon, and in the forest close by. They seem to have accepted this recreation of their prehistoric environment. They've adapted very easily. Maybe their most recent habitat was disturbed somehow. But here, they can live in peace," Foster explains.

However, Brock then shows concern, "That's great, but when thousands of people come…"

"You're right. It could be a disaster for these Pokémon. That's why I called Professor Oak for his advice. I just don't know what I should do," Foster says.

Professor Oak says. "These creatures must be protected, but this park should be open to the public, too."

Mew is also concerned, "Professor, what if more live nearby here? Trainers who come to the park will try to catch them!"

"You're right. Sure, we were able to get Prehistoric Pokemon, but some came from Fossils or in areas we swore to keep a secret that they would volunteer to come with us," Misty says.

"Yeah. We promised to make sure the prehistoric Pokemon are kept safe. But if they're living here more, then trainers might try to catch them and take them away from their homes and don't want to be around humans," Tomo says.

"I know," Professor Oak says, worried.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket, mainly James, is still working on fixing the pump.

"Time is money, James. So's water," Jessie says.

"Can't ya hurry?" Meowth asks.

James shouts, "Can't you shut your trap?! There must be something... jammed in the line here," And continues to tinker until he finds the cause, and is very shocked in disbelief, "Ooooh, you'll never believe... what I just found!"

"What? Your brain?" Jessie questions.

"Let's see, Jimmy," Meowth says.

Then James holds out a little wriggling Omanyte, "Look at this!"

Meowth then shouts at it, "HEY! Go and find your own water!"

"Throw that thing away," Jessie says.

"Throw it away?!" James asks in shock, "Don't you realize that I hold in my hands an extinct Pokémon!?"

"Wobbuffet!" (ONCE extinct!) Wobbuffet points out.

Unimpressed, Jessie says, "Extinct, huh? With a face like that it's no wonder."

"You don't seem to understand, this is an Omanyte," James says, and places Omanyte right next to Jessie's face, "This Pokémon is rare, it's valuable, it's... it's..."

Jessie gasps, "IT'S SLIMY!"

And Meowth says, "It may be slimy, but it's also worth a lot of dough! And if we keep pumping da water outta dis reservoir we'll probably find a whole lot more!"

Jessie grins, "Well, then, in that case, what are we waiting for? Let's get pumping and catch them all!"

Meowth also grins, "We'll bring back a few choice ones tah keep da Boss happy. Den we'll sell the rest on da side to keep us happy!"

"This little Omanyte is going to transform our lives!" James happily says.

Jessie smiles and says, "And to think I wanted to trash you."

"Team Rocket will finally make out all right when we suck up all o dem Omanyte!" Meowth says.

"WOBBUFFET!" (That's the truth!) Wobbuffet says.

Back at the faculty, everyone is in the surveillance room to see the Pokemon.

"So, you observe the Omanyte and Omastar from here," Professor Oak says.

"That's right. The surveillance cameras were originally installed for security purposes. But now, they allow us to observe their behavior without affecting them," Foster says.

"I could stand here watching them all day long. Seeing them makes me so happy," Misty happily says.

Tomo turns to Misty, "That's weird. Usually when you see water Pokemon, you get really excited and want to catch em."

"I know. I love catching water Pokemon more than anybody, but they've been living free for so long, catching them just wouldn't seem right," Misty says.

"I know what you mean," Brock says.

Mew agrees, "Guess some things just kinda deserve to be left the way they've always been."

Everyone continues to watch the Pokemon,

"Just think about it, guys, all the millions of things they've seen in their lifetime," Mew says.

Pikachu and Eevee reply, "Pika/Eev," (I know.)

"It's incredible. Just like a dream come true," Professor Oak says.

Soon, the group notice another Omanyte appears

"Look there!" Professor Oak calls out.

"Where'd that other Omanyte come from?" Tomo asks.

"It wasn't there a minute ago," Mew says.

Togpei and Pichu point to the other screen as they call out to make everyone turn to see what it is. What they see is another Omastar.

"And that second Omastar!" Brock says.

"Where did they come from?" Molly asks.

Foster turns to Professor Oak, "Professor, what's happening?"

"When did the first ones come?" Professor Oak asks.

"On the same day as our problems with the water pressure," Foster answers.

Just then, one of the scientists rushes in, "Oh, good! You're here! We've got big trouble!"

"What's that matter?" Foster asks.

"It's the water again. But this time, it's not running completely!" The scientist asks.

Everyone is shocked by the development.

Then Professor Oak says, "I have a hunch. Let's get to that reservoir."

"I'll get the jeep," Foster says.

Soon, everyone rushes outside.

Mew throws her Pokeball and calls out, "Noctowl, Aerodactyl, I choose you!"

Soon, the both come out of their Pokeball.

Mew calls out, "Check the reservoir! We'll get up there as fast as we can!"

The two Pokemon agree and fly off.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket shares a laugh.

"Catching Pokémon's easy this way!" Meowth says.

Soon, it's revealed that Team Rocket is sucking all the Omanyte and Omastar in the reservoir and into their truck.

"This place is so far out the way, no one will know that it's a Pokemon gold mine! Just us!" Meowth says,

"I'll be respected! As the premier purveyor of prehistoric Pokémon!" James says.

Jessie giggles, "I'll be famous and exceptionally well-dressed!"

"And it'll be pay day for us all!" Meowth says.

Team Rocket shares a laugh, in triumph. Unknown to them, Aerodactyl and Noctowl spot them and head back to their trainer.

Down below, the Oamnyte and Omastar start falling out of the truck.

"Uh oh! They're overflowing!" Meowth says, shocked.

James asks, "What do we do?"

"How about we come back tomorrow with a bigger tank?" Jessie says.

"How do you come up with such stellar ideas?" James replies.

I'm a star," Jessie says.

"These tings certainly get attached to you," Meowth says, as one snuggles them

Soon, Team Rocket's bring in their balloon.

"Come on, little Omys! It's moving day!" Jessie says.

Team Rocket soon pulls down their balloon. Soon, Nowctowl and Aerodactyl fly back to their trainer. Meanwhile, everyone is riding to the reservoir in Foster's jeep, though it's a very bumpy ride.

"This, place, needs, a road!" Misty says.

Professor Oak cries out, "My lumbago's killing me!"

"The reservoir's hard to get to! That's what keeps the Pokemon safe!" Foster says.

Soon, Noctowl and Aerodactyl return to find Mew and the others.

"Noctowl! Aerodactyl!" Mew calls out.

The two swoop down in closer and give them the news

"Something must be happening up at the reservoir!" Brock says.

"Sounds like trouble! We better hurry!" Mew says.

"Okay! Hang on!" Foster says.

Mew calls back her Pokemon, "Noctowl! Aerodactyl! Return!" and returns them to the Pokeball.

Foster floors it and they continue their way through the bumpy road towards the reservoir.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are tossing the Pokemon into the basket of the Balloon. From James on the tank to Jessie on the ground to Meowth in the basket. The Pokemon have withdrawn themselves into their shells for safety, and easier for Team Rocket to handle them.

"They're easier to handle when they all withdraw into their shells like this," Meowth says.

Jessie giggles, "They're prehistoric, but they're very considerate!"

Suddenly, they hear the sound of an engine.

"Someone's coming!" Jessie says.

Meowth sighs, "I hope it ain't who I tink it is."

Soon, the jeep comes to a stop

Soon Mew is the first to notice, "Look it's Team Rocket!"

Foster is shocked, "Ahhh! What are they doing!?"

Jessie:

We caught Pokémon. It wasn't much trouble.

James:

With a bigger tank car, we would have caught double.

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket has finally done something right.

James:

We have got plenty of Omastar and loads of Omanyte.

Wobbuffet:

Wobbu...! (That is...!)

Meowth (pushes Wobbuffet down):

Pipe down! Meowth, that's right!

Soon, Misty notices their truck, "Guys, look! They must have hundreds in there!"

"Let em loose, right now!" Mew demands.

"Nothing doing, fellas. The victory belongs to the spoils," James says.

Then Jessie sticks her tongue out in disrespect, "We win! You lose!"

"How did you even know that they were here?!" Foster demands.

"We started our own bottled water business, but when we were filling the bottles, one of these prehistoric Pokémon got stuck in the line," Meowth says.

"Water?" Foster says.

Soon, Professor Oak quickly understands what has happened, "Now I see. The reservoir is their natural habitat, and the Pokemon only came to our park because these three were siphoning off the water!"

"You gotta put them back!" Foster says to Team Rocket.

Jessie chuckles, "Sorry, but the only place we're putting them is on the market. And if anybody's going to be blasting off today, it's you." Then throws her Pokeball, "Go get them, Arbok!"

"Weezing, I choose you!" James throws his Pokeball too.

Mew calls out, "Let's stop em, Pikachu! You too, Eevee!"

Pikachu and Eevee leap into battle.

Jessie calls out, "Hurry, Arbok! Use your Poison Sting!"

Arbok launches the attack.

"Quick! Dodge em!" Mew calls out.

Pikachu and Eevee dodge.

Then James calls out, "Go, Weezing! Use your Sludge attack!"

Weezing fires the attack, but Pikachu and Eevee dodge.

Mew calls out, "Okay, Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack!"

Pikachu launches the attack and hits both Pokemon hard.

Then Mew calls out, "Now Eevee, use Tackle Attack!"

Eevee attacks both of them, sending them flying back, right into Team Rocket's truck, which kind of explodes upon collision.

"Yeah!" Mew cheers

"Pi Pika!" (We got em!) Pikachu cheers.

"Eevee!" (Alright!) Eevee cheers.

When the smoke clears, the tank is seen losing all the water it's been carrying.

"Our water's going down the drain!" James cries out.

"Wobb-uffet. (Sure is.) Wobbuffet says.

"Forget it. We've still got the Pokemon," Jessie says, then calls back her Pokemon, "Arbok, return!"

Then James does the same, "Return, Weezing!"

Soon, both Pokemon have been returned to their Pokeballs.

"Let's fly away with these marvelous little Mollusks into our fabulous future!" Jessie says."

"This stinks! Now they're going to get away!" Brock says.

"But what can we do? We might hurt the Pokemon if we try to attack.

"She's right. Some of our attacks might hurt the Pokemon," Misty says.

Meowth laughs triumphant, "You can't shock us without shocking our little friends here!"

"Wobb-uffet! (So sorry.) Wobbuffet says.

"Liftoff time, team!" Jessie says.

"For once, we're actually getting away!" James says.

Grinning in delight, Team Rocket rises off the ground as Mew and the others grit their teeth and watch helplessly.

Team Rocket cheers, "This is a blast!"

'Wobb-uffet!" (It sure is!) Wobbuffet says.

Suddenly, the balloon comes to a stop.

Confused, James asks "What's wrong? What's the problem?"

"What's stopping us?" Jessie asks.

Meowth answers, "I know. We loaded on too many!"

"Wobb-uffet" (Now we're stuck!) Wobbuffet says.

"I told you not to get greedy!" Meowth says.

"I suppose I was a tad ambitious," James says.

"Save the story," Meowth says, and picks up an Omanyte, "We'll have to lose a few."

But Jessie grabs the shell and tries to yank it away, "HEY! We're not throwing a single one of these away!"

They're too heavy! We can't take 'em all!" Meowth shouts.

Jessie shouts back, "All these Pokémon are worth something! Maybe we should throw you overboard instead!"

James sweat drops, "I think we're in for a shell of a fight."

"Woooobuffet!" (I agree.) Wobbuffet says.

Jessie and Meowth continue to argue over the shell in tug-a-war.

Jessie continues to shout as doing so, "We're keeping it! Let go! Give it back to me! Get your grubby paws off this thing, you fur ball!"

Suddenly, they hear a screeching sound.

"What's that?" Tomo asks.

Everyone looks up and is surprised to see a familiar little Pokemon.

Molly happily says, "Aerodactyl!"

Aerodactyl flies fast and then uses Wing Attack to cut the balloon, causing it to lose altitude. Then it lands on the ground with a tumble. Team Rocket soon looks to see what is awaiting them. What they see are angry Omanyte and Omastar, along with Aerodactyl, Aurorus, Mamoswine, and Tyrantrum.

"Mamoswine is there too," Molly says.

"So is Aurorus," Jen says.

"And Tyrantrum," Tomo says.

"And they don't look happy," Misty says.

Jessie meekly says, "We didn't come here for you."

"That's right. We came for water," Meowth meekly says.

The Omanyte and Omastat then fire their Water Gun attack at them that send them in the air. Aurorus and Mamoswine use Ice Beam to freeze them into an ice block. Then Tyrantrum uses Dragon Tail to swing at Team Rocket, sending them flying, and blasting off.

Frozen, Team Rocket screams, "We're blasting off again!"

"Wobb Wobbuffet!" (I'm soaked and frozen!) Wobbuffet cries out in the ice.

And soon, Team Rocket is gone for the time being.

Soon, the Omanyte and Omastar return to their underwater home.

"Looks like the Omanyte and Omaster are heading back to their old home," Misty says.

"That's right. And I have a feeling they won't be coming to visit me at the Pokemon Park again," Foster says.

"What do you mean?" Molly asks.

"They only came because their world was being destroyed. Now that it's back to the way it was, I think they'll prefer the real thing," Foster says.

Soon, every last of them return home.

Brock then asks, "Are you gonna stay and do research on them, Professor?"

"I must admit, I'd love to. But these Pokemon have had enough trouble, Brock," Professor Oak says "I think they've earned the right to live their lives in peace. I'm sure we could learn a great deal about ancient Pokemon and their world by analyzing and studying them further, but no living thing deserves to live life as a specimen."

Foster nods, "I knew you'd come up with all the right answers."

"Well, there they go. Guess no matter how good the park seems, there's no place like home," Mew says.

Soon, all the Omanyte and Omastar return home, through the water and into an underground cave where they belong.

Soon, the four other Prehistoric Pokemon end up growing attached to Molly, Tomo, and Jen.

Seeing this Professor Oak laughs, "Of course, some Pokemon like to adapt to be around humans, so there's not much we can do if they want to be around them more often."

"I have to agree, and I can trust them to give them the best care," Foster says.

Later that evening, Foster and Professor Oak say their farewells to Mew and her friends, who are actually riding on the three large prehistoric Pokemon. Turns out they want to have them as their new trainer. Aerodactyl and Mamoswine chose Molly. Aurorus chose Jen and Amaura. And Tyrantrum chose Tomo. As they leave, Molly, Aerodactyl, Mew, Pikachu and Eevee are riding on Mamoswine. Jen, Amaura, Snubbull, Misty, Togpei, and Pichu are riding on Aurorus. Lastly, Brock, Tomo, Meloetta, and Skwovet are riding on Tyrantrum. The group say goodbyes to Professor Oak and Foster as they continue riding on their new friends as they continue on their Pokemon journey.
