Pokemon Journeys (My Version)

Today, Mew and her friends are at the local Pokemon Center. However, Brock is not relaxing and looking at his computer. Mew and the others are having some ice cream.

"Brock's at it again, guys," Misty says. "Every time we get to a Pokémon Center, he rushes in to check his email."

"I why Brock is so frantic about checking his email," Mew replies.

The group enjoys their treat. Soon, Brock finds what he's been looking for in his email.

Brock gets excited, "Yes! I finally got a message from Suzie!"

"Pika?" (Suzie?) Pikachu questions.

Who's Suzie?" Jen asks.

"She's the Pokemon Breeder who gave Brock Vulpix. She had her own Pokemon Beauty Salon in Scissor Streat," Misty says.

"Yeah. She went away to learn more about Pokemon breeding," Mew says.

"So…" Brock says.

Soon, Mew and the others approach Brock on the computer.

Misty asks, "What does Suzie's email say, Brock?

"She's heading to a Pokemon contest in a place called Bonitaville. And she is...trying to find a Pokemon she can enter with," Brock says.

"A contest, huh?" Misty questions.

What kind of contest?" Mew asks.

"It's a little bit out of our way, but...I've got to see Suzie!" Brock says, and with determination.

Upon reaching Bonitaville, Mew and the others look around at the large number of Pokemon and their trainers.

"Wow! This is unbelievable! Everybody must be here for the contest. They're all so, stylish," Misty says.

Then Tomo asks, "Hey Brock? What kind of contest is this?"

"A Pokémon Catching contest?" Jen asks.

"Or a Performing Contest?" Molly asks.

Brock brushes Vulpix as he says, "It's not a Catching Contest or a Performing Contest! It happens to be an important Pokémon Beauty Contest.

"So that's why you've been grooming Vulpix. You're gonna enter the contest," Misty says.

But Brock says, "I'm not gonna enter the contest, but Vulpix is. I'll explain later. Right now, I have to get Vulpix ready." And continues to brush Vulpix's coat. "Vulpix, I have to make you look beautiful." Then turns to the others And speaking of beauty, you all could use a little sprucing up. You can't meet Suzie looking all scruffy and scuzzy."

Mew and the others are confused.

"You don't look so great yourself, Brock," Misty says, annoyed.

Soon, Brock slides into view, revealing to be wearing a white tuxedo with a red bow tie.

"So how do I look now?" Brock asks.

You look like the ice-cream man," Mew answers, confused.

Then Misty says, "Ahhh... what he means is, you look very cool and sweet."

Elsewhere, Team Rocket arrives in town to see the event.

Jessie happily says, "This is just perfect, an entire town dedicated to the beautification of Pokemon!"

"It's just our style," James grins and sweeps back his hair, "A place that appreciates style.

"At last we've found a town where our taste won't go to waste... watch out world, Jessie's getting dressy!" Jessie says with pride.

And now wearing black boots, red pants and shirt, a leather belt with stylish circular buckle, a blue cravat and blue trench coat. James slides in beside her, wearing a similar outfit of black boots, blue pants and shirt, standard buckled black leather belt, yellow cravat and blue trench coat. Wearing small, rectangular rimless sunglasses with his hair pulled back in a ponytail

"And does James look hot or what?" James replies.

Then Meowth says, "It's times like dis I'm glad I'm a Pokémon. Dey haf to get to get dolled up but I can do my doity work in da buff."

"WOH-WOBBUFFET!" (And so do I!) Wobbuffet says.

"Get back here," Jessie says, and recalls Wobbuffet to his Pokeball, "Meowth said Buff, not Buffet."

Then says, "Here's the plan, James and I enter this beauty contest. When one of us wins, we'll become superstars in the world of style. Rightfully so, I might add."

"Yeah, and what's that gonna do? Meowth asks, snidely.

"As superstars, we can open our very own Pokemon Beauty Salon. We'll have customers lined up around the block," James says.

"How's that help me?" Meowth questions.

"With that kind of success, we'll attract the attention of the news media! We'll get our own TV series! We'll finally have the chance to be millionaires!" Jessie happily says.

Even Meowth grows excited, "Here comes my payday!"

"Right, but first we'll have to make sure we do everything we can to win that Pokemon Beauty Contest!" James happily says.

And Jessie says, "This isn't going to be easy, but James and I have fashion sense. We're even going to give you a makeover, Meowth."

Meowth agrees, "Do whatever ya gotta do, Jessie! I'm ready! Just make me look good an' show Meowth da money!"

Soon, Mew and the others arrive by the fountain to meet Suzie as they see many different trainers with their Pokemon entering the contest.

"Hey, Brock. A lot of these Pokemon look pretty pretty," Tomo says.

"Loetta" (Sure do!) Meloetta replies

"You're right about that, but the contest is not just about how the Pokemon look, the judges also decide the winner on how well the breeders have raised their Pokémon," Brock says.

Soon, Misty, Jen, and Molly run off from the group.

"Where are you supposed to meet Suzie?" Mew asks.

"I'm supposed to meet her right around here someplace," Brock says.

Just then, Vulpix jumps from Brock's arms and takes off.

Brock calls out, "Vulpix, hey!"

"Vulpix, no! Come back!" Mew calls out.

"Pika," (Vulpix.) Pikachu calls out.

"Eevee," (Wait,) Eevee calls out.

The group soon follows Vulpix to where she's going. Vulpix looks excited and soon enough, they see their old friend, Suzie. Happy to see her trainer, Vulpix runs right towards Suzie and leaps into her arms.

Suzie catches Vulpix and happily says, "Vulpix! I'm so glad to see you again!"

"Suzie!" Mew happily calls out.

"Hi, Mew! Pikachu! Eevee!" Suzie says.

Then Tomo notices his Pokemon, "And I'm guessing these are friends of yours."

"Yeah. I'm Tomo, and these are my pals: Meloetta and Skwovet," Tomo says.

"It's nice to meet you too," Suzie says.

Then turns to Mew, "It's been a long time, huh Mew."

"Yeah, it sure has. Brock told us that you've been traveling around learning about Pokemon breeding," Mew says. And then notices Brock next to her, "Hey, look who it is.

"Is that you, Brock?" Suzie asks.

"No... I mean yes... I'm behind the flowers... they're for you!" Brock nervously says, and gives Suzie the flowers.

Suzie takes the flowers with a grin, "They're beautiful. Thank you very much, Brock."

Brock blushes, "NO, thank YOU! For allowing me to keep your Vulpix for so long. I hope you'll find it in good condition!"

"VULLL-PIX-VULL!" (I missed you so much!) Vulpix happily says.

"I could tell from the first second I saw my little friend again that you've done an even better job than I could've done myself. I knew you'd come through," Suzie happily says.

Mew turns to Brock and asks, "Is it true? Are you really giving Vulpix back?"

"Vulpix never really belonged to me to begin with," Brock answers, "I always knew I'd have to give it back. When I found out Suzie'd be here, I thought now would be the perfect time."

"Brock thought instead of me looking for a new Pokémon to enter in the contest, that I should enter Vulpix," Suzie says.

"Well, you and Vulpix probably want to get reacquainted, and we have to got and buy our tickets to the contest, so good luck and see you later," Brock says, and bows his head.

But then Suzie says, "I have a great idea! Why don't you and I enter the contest as partners?

"You mean together?!" Brock asks, surprised

"Sure! What do you say?" Suzie says.

Brock smiles, "I say I'd love to!"

"Well, if it's alright with our pretty little friend here, it's alright with me," Suzie says.

Vulpix happily says, "Vulpix!" (Sure!)

Brock is so flustered, "Me and Suzie... Suzie and me... together! The two of... ahhhh." His face turns red and faints.

"Hey, Brock!" Tomo cries out.

"He's, fainted!" Suzie says, shocked.

Mew turns her head, "Hey, Misty, hurry up, we need some water for Brock!" But notices she's gone, "Where'd she go?" Then notices, "Hey, where are Jen and Molly?"

Mew looks around to notice Misty, Jen, and Molly are admiring a trainer's Ninetales.

"Wow! It's beautiful! That's the prettiest Ninetales ever! Do you mind if I touch it? Brush it? Please? How do you get it to look like that? Is it a secret?" Misty asks, eagerly.

However, the boy with blonde hair, wearing a blue shirt, and an orange jacket is growing irritated.

The trainer then questions, "May I ask a question?"

"Sure," Misty says.

"I'm minding my business, trying to get my Ninetales ready for the beauty contest," the boy says. Then you come along and ask me a million questions! So my question is, will you please leave me alone?!"

"Oh. I'm sorry," Misty apologizes.

Soon Suzie walks over to him, "You could be a little more polite, Zane."

"Suzie?" The boy, Zane replies.

"Suzie!" Misty happily says.

And Suzie says, "Instead of being rude, you should be happy she thinks your Ninetales is beautiful."

"You're right. I'm sorry," Zane apologizes, and says, "I'm just focused on winning the beauty contest. But now, I'm just focused on you."

The group soon becomes puzzled.

Later, everyone sits down to catch up and to get to know Zane. Turns out, Suzie and Zane have known each other for a long time.

"So you've known each other for a while!" Misty says.

"Oh, yes," Suzie says, "Since we were both in nursery school. And even way back then, we both wanted to be breeders. And we each started out with our own Vulpix."

"Suzie vowed she'd be the world's top Vulpix breeder. And I said I'd do the same," Zane says.

Then Brock bursts out, "SO YOU'RE A RIVAL! Suzie'S SWORN MORTAL ENEMY!"

"Well, we're rivals, but certainly not enemies," Zane points out.

Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Let's check this out."

Dexter says, "Ninetails, the Fox Pokemon. The evolved form of Vulpix. A Fire Type. It has nine tails and a shiny golden fleece. Ninetails are said to live very long lives."

"Your Ninetales is cool, Zane," Mew says.

"It looks like spun gold," Misty says.

"I hope you're right," Zane says, "Suzie and her Vulpix will be tough to beat, so we decided Ninetales should evolve. I like to win, just as much as Suzie does."

"Well, it looks like you and Zane have a lot in common, Suzie," Misty says.

"We do, Misty, but we also have some big disagreements, especially about Pokemon," Suzie says, "Zane thinks what makes a Pokemon beautiful is what you see on the outside, but I think beauty comes from the inside."

"That's so old school," Zane says.

Brock starts to mumble,

Zane pets Vulpix, "If Vulpix belonged to me, I'd cut and curl its fur and make it look beautiful. You want to look beautiful, don't you, Vulpix?"

Vulpix cuddles with Suzie.

Suzie then says, "Well, I think my little friend here looks beautiful just the way it is. And no amount of cutting and curling can match the beautiful look I can see in its eyes."

You haven't changed a bit, Suzie," Zane replies.

"I guess neither of us has, Zan," Suzie smiles.

Well, Ninetales and I have to get ready," Zane says, and gets up, "We wish you and Vulpix the best of luck." Then turns to his Ninetales, "Come on, let's go, Ninetales."

Then Zane and his Ninetales take their leave.

"In his heart he's the sweetest boy in the whole world..." Suzie says. Then turns to Brock, "Oh! I forgot about you sitting there, Brock! Of course you're very sweet in your own way, too!"

Then Brock bursts out, "That guy's not sweet! That guy's our number one competition! And we have to defeat him... TOTALLY!" Suzie is taken aback by Brock's outburst, but quietly nods.

Meanwhile, Jessie and James are sprucing up Meowth for the competition.

"I think we've done it. I think we've brought out Meowth's inner beauty!" Jessie happily says.

And James agrees, "You're right! And it wasn't easy digging in that far to find it! Take a look, Meowth!"

Meowth looks at himself in the mirror, "Can dis really be me?! I don't look like myself!"

"It's true. We've transformed you, Meowth," Jessie happily says.

"It was the only way to make you look good," James says.

Meowth soon says intears, "I don't know what tah say! But when I get on dat stage, I'll tell da woild you brought out my…"

James and Jessie quickly cover Meowth's mouth, "KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!"

"Be quiet or you'll give us away!" Jessie whispers.

And you'll ruin your lip-liner!" James says.

And Jessie says, "We can't risk anyone recognizing us as Team Rocket, understand?"

Meowth mumbles inaudibly.

Soon, fireworks go off, indicating the start of the competition as everyone in the audience cheers and applauds, including Mew and the others.

Mew turns to Misty, "See what number Suzie and Brock are."

Misty picks up the program guide, "According to the program, they're number thirty-seven."

"And what about Zane?" Molly asks.

"He's after Suzie," Misty says.

And Mew says, "Yeah, Brock is too. That's the problem."

Soon, an Onix appears on screen along with several other Pokemon participating on the screen.

The announcer says, "Welcome, one and all, our Pokemon Beauty Contest is about to begin. Which Pokemon will be named beauty of the year? You'll only find out if you stay right where you are.

Backstage, Brock and Suzie are preparing Vulpix for the contest.

"You know, Suzie, I'm very honored to be in this contest with you and Vulpix. I think we have a great shot at winning now that we're a team," Brock says, happily.

"Well, I hope you're right, Brock and I'm sure Vulpix feels the same way," Suzie says.

"Vul," (Yeah!) Vulpix agrees.

"We better get ready," Brock says.

Across the room, Zane watches.

Soon, the announcer appears on the speaker, "Will entry number one come to the stage please?"

The first entry prepares to head out on stage with his Marill.

"This is it, Marill. Let's get out there and show them what a winner looks like," the boy says.

The Maril agrees, but as they head towards the stage, someone comes in from behind and snatches them both. Outside, the annoncer and the crowd are waiting.

The announcer says, "Number one? Please take the stage."

"Hey, number one's not coming out," Tomo says.

I wonder why," Jen replies.

The announcer continues, "Number one? Where's entry number one?"

Soon, the trap door opens and smoke comes out, meaning Team Rocket is making an entrance.

"Sorry we're late, it takes a while…" Jessie says.

And James says, "...to give our Pokémon flare and style!"

"What's going on?" Misty asks.

"We hope our Pokémon will amaze all of you!" Jessie says.

And James says, "We're giving each one a look that's brand new!.

As Team Rocket talks, Weezing and Victreebel come up while Brock, Suzie and Zane come out to see what's happening.

"Who are they?" Zane asks.

Jessie: (coming a wig on her Abok)

We're creating a trend and it's gonna be big!

James (combing a wig on Jessie's Wobbuffet):

And this doesn't even look like a wig!

Jessie:

We two aren't fakers!

James:

We're style makers!

Jessie:

We're cutting and curling at the speed of light!

James:

Put yourself in our hands and we'll make you look right, right, right!

Wobbuffet:

Wobbuffet! (That's so true!)

Meowth:

Meowth, Meowth, Meowth!

Oddly enough, the audience applauds.

"Oh, they're eating it up," Jessie happily says.

"I knew we could do it! We found something we're good at!" James says.

"We're gonna be superstars!" Jessie adds.

"Wobbuffet," (Like you said!) Wobbuffet says.

"I have to admit, I've never seen anything like the two of you," Zane says.

Jessie shakes Zane's hand, "Oh, thank you. Thank you!"

"They seem weird," Misty says.

"And for some odd reason, very familiar," Mew says.

And Brock says, "There's something funny about them. Maybe we should wait our turns backstage."

"I have to see them up close. They're both unbelievable," Zane says.

"Oh, thank you very much. How flattering," James says.

Jessie chuckles.

Zane turns to Suzie, "Well, Suzie, aren't they unique?"

"Oh, absolutely," Suzie says.

"Oh, it's so gratifying to meet a fellow artist who appreciates what we're doing," Jessie says.

James starts working on Wobbuffet, "A vigorous Pokemon shampoo, comb out and blow dry prepare the canvas!"

"Then, instead of a pallet and brush, I use a comb and scissors to create. And there you have it. another masterpiece of Pokemon perfection!" Jessie says.

And James says, "Yes, and true artists can even take a pathetically repulsive Pokémon and bring out its beauty, or at least cover up the ugly.

"Even a blobby Pokemon like this can look like it's on the cutting edge," Jessie says.

Brock thinks of it and says, "I wonder if Onix could use a new 'do?"

"You know, I think these clowns might have a point," Zane replies.

Suddenly, Officer Jenny's voice calls out, "Hold it right there!"

The three turn to see Officer Jenny arrive on the stage with the boy and his Marill, the real number one contestant.

Then Jessie says, "These two contestants are frauds! They locked up the real number one contestant and his Marill in a closet and took his place!"

"Is that really true?!" Brock asks in shock.

Jessie whispers, "James...talk your way out of this!

"We certainly wouldn't have done it if we thought we'd be caught!" James says.

Meowth simply sighs.

Then Jessie confesses, "Our original number was two-hundred fifty-nine! How could we make the judges wait that long to see the winners?!"

"We're going to win anyway, so the first place finishers might as well be the first place starters!" James happily says

But receives a hard scolding from Officer Jenny, "That's the last straw, you two are out of here!" and kicked Team Rocket and their Pokemon out.

Jessie turns to Jenny in anger, "How dare you?!"

"And don't even THINK of coming back!" Jenny says and slams the door on them.

"How can you expect an Un-Civil Servant like her to understand style?" Jessie says.

Then James adds, "What does she know? The shiekest thing in her closet is probably bulletproof!"

Suddenly, Meowth starts scratching Jessie and James' faces, "QUIET!"

What are you doing?!" Jessie cries out.

"Jessie and I did the best we could, Meowth!" James says.

"That's what I was afraid of, so, luckily, I got a plan of my own worked out!" Meowth says.

Meanwhile, Brock and Suzie watch one of the contestants with her Ninetales on the stage via the TV monitor as our heroes head backstage.

"Hey, it's almost your turn, Brock. How you feeling?" Mew asks.

"I'm...just fine," Brock answers, feeling pressured.

Misty then says, "Relax. You all look just beautiful."

"Pika Pika!/ Eevee Eevee!" (Absolutely!/ You're going to be great!) Pikachu and Eevee say.

As they prepare, the doors to the backstage area burst open and two official looking Doctors in white coats and face-masks appear. Mainly, Team Rocket in their disguise.

Jessie says, "Alright! Attention, please! Attention, please! We're Pokémon Doctors from the Pokemon Breeders Licensing Division."

"We're here to perform examinations on every Pokémon entered in the contest," James says.

"How come nobody told us?" Brock asks.

And Suzie says, "That's strange. I never heard anything about an examination."

Then Jessie says, "The rules were changed, it's something new."

"This doesn't sound right to me," Brock says, sensing something wrong.

But Jessie says, "Who cares how you think it sounds? Anyone who doesn't follow the rules will be disqualified."

"Disqualified?" Brock questions.

Then James says, "Okay, people, have your Pokemon lined up and step lively through the door."

Jessie grabs Vulpix, "Come now, don't be shy. It won't hurt a bit." and carries her away.

"Vulpix," Suzie calls out.

James leads Ninetales away, "This way, Ninetales."

"Hold on," Zane calls out.

"Stay right where you are. No breeders allowed," Jessie says.

"We can't stay with our Pokemon?" Zane questions.

"The rules are the rules," Jessie says.

"And you better follow them, buster!" James says.

Soon, all the Pokémon in the contest are through the door.

"There's no reason to worry," Jessie says.

Then James says, "You're Pokémon are safe with us."

"We're doctors!" The two say, before closing the door.

Then they lock the Pokemon inside.

"Who cares if we didn't lock on first place?" Jessie says.

And James says, "We've managed to lock up all the Pokémon instead!

"See, guys? I told you old Meowth would come up with a plan, and this one was a real beauty," Meowth says.

Outside, the audience is getting concerned.

The announcer says, "Uh, number twenty-five. Will entry number twenty-five please report to the stage.

Inside, Zane is trying to get through the door and has discovered it's locked.

"Hey! Unlock this door! We wanna see our Pokemon right now!" Zane says, and knocks on the door.

Brock steps forward, "Stand aside! I'll take care of this!" Then calls out from his Pokeball, "I choose you, Geodude, break down the door!"

Geodude comes out and breaks the doors down, allowing everyone to run outside.

"Oh, no!" Zane cries out.

Suzie looks around, "Where did those doctors go?"

"They couldn't have just disappeared," Misty says.

Jessie and James soon reveal themselves with laughter and begin their motto, catching everyone's attention above.

Jessie:

The doctors are right up here! Or are they?

James:

Now we'll take off our masks and show you who we really are.

Then take off their first disguise.

Jessie:

We appear to be those talented stylers!

Zane:

Hey! They're those two from the contest!" Zane says.

Jessie and James:

He's right! But

underneath, we're really…

(remove their costumes)

Ta-da!

"It's Team Rocket!" Misty says.

"I knew those two look familiar!" Mew says.

"Pi Pikachu!" (Not you again!) Pikachu says.

"You twerps would have been a lot better off if that cop hadn't thrown us out of that contest!" James says.

Then Jessie says, "Now you're the losers for a change! You're not only losing the beauty contest, but your friends are losing all their Pokémon too!

"Never mind him, he's letting his stardom go to his head. Well, we gotta run! I mean, fly!" Meowth says, and laughs.

"Don't you worry. They won't get away," Mew says. She then throws her Pokeball as she calls out, "I choose you, Noctowl!"

Tomo says, "I'll help!" And throws his Pokeball, "I choose you, Manzibuzz!"

And Mandibuzz comes out.

Noctowl and Mandibuzz pierce through the balloon, making it lose air and crash into the ground.

"Excellent!" Jen happily says.

Then Misty says, "Hurry, guys! Now's the time to save all those Pokémon!"

"We're on it, Misty!" Mew says.

Brock then says, "Let me handle this." And brings out his Pokeball.

He throws it as he calls out, "Winter, I choose you!"

And Winter, the Alolan Vulpix comes out as she lets out a cry.

"Aww, what a cute little Alolan Vulpix," Suzie compliments.

"I've never seen one in person before, and it looks well taken care of," Zane says.

"Thanks," Brock says.

Then calls out, "Alright Winter, use Ice Shard on the lock!"

Winter then throws an ice shard, freezing the lock and the door.

And Brock says, "Now Winter, use Iron Tail!"

Little Winter jumps and performs Iron Tail, breaking the lock and the Pokemon are free

"Vulpix!" Suzie happily says.

Even Zane is relieved, "Ninetales!"

Seeing the Pokemon escape, James says, "We never seem to catch a break, do we?

"If Jessie woulda quit blabbin, we woulda been gone by now!" Meowth says.

Jessie angrily says, "Don't you blame me, that boy scout called us forgettable! Besides, this whole thing was your brilliant idea!"

"Well, does somebody need a doctor?" Mew questions.

"You think you're pretty funny!" Jessie angrily says and gets out a Pokeball.

James does the same, "We don't!

"Let's see if you're still laughing after a Pokemon battle!" Jessie says, and throws her Pokeball, "I choose you, Arbok!" and Arbok comes out.

James does the same, "And I choose you Weezing and Victreebel!"

Weezing and Victreebel comes out, and of course, Victreebel attempts to eat James, again.

"Open up! Let me out of here!" James cries out.

Meowth sighs, "Dat just goes tah show, James is hard tah swallow."

Mew then says, "Pikachu, Eevee, get ready!

"Pika!" (Roger!) Pikachu says.

"Eevee!" (Got it!) EEvee says.

James calls out, "Victreebel, Razor Leaf attack!" And the Pokemon fires the attack.

"Look out,!" Mew calls out.

But then, a fire attack burns the Razor Leaf, and the unexpected help is from Vulpix and Ninetales, and they step into the battle.

"Ninetales! Vulpix! What...?" Mew asks, surprised.

Zane steps forward and says, "They're a disgrace to trainers AND breeders. We all have to teach them they can't steal Pokemon!"

"You teach us?!" Jessie questions, angrily, "You've got to be kidding, kid! James and I are members of Team Rocket. You can't teach us anything!"

"If we could teach you, you'd learn how ridiculous and embarrassing your silly team is," Suzie says.

"That's the last straw!" Jessie angrily says, "Alright, Arbok, prepare to attack!" Arbok does so.

Suzie then says, "Ready, Zane?"

"Ready, Suzie," Zane says.

Suzie calls out, "Vulpix!"

"Ninetales!" Zane calls out

Then they both call out, "Fire Spin attack!"

Both Fox Pokemon combine and surround Team Rocket, giving them all hot feet before engulfing them in a cyclone of fire which sends them flying.

"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

"Alright!" Tomo cheers.

Even the Pokemon cheer, (They're gone!)

"Look at those two!" Misty says.

Ninetales seems to glisten in the sun after the battle ends as both it and Vulpix become close, as do their trainers, which catches Brock's attention.

Later, the contest continues.

Announcer says, "Next up is entry number thirty-one!"

As the entry takes the stage, our heroes watch backstage

"Well, now that Team Rocket's gone, the contest's right back on schedule," Mew says.

"With them gone, everything's a lot more beautiful," Misty says.

Then Zane walks over, "Bad as they were, there was one good thing I learned from that Team Rocket."

"What was that?" Suzie asks.

"They showed me how important it is to work together. If you and I did that, Suzie, we'd make an awesome team. We could breed and groom the most beautiful Pokemon ever!" Zane says.

"He's right! Suzie can work on making the Pokemon happy and beautiful inside…" Mew says.

And Misty says, "And Zane can concentrate on making them look beautiful on the outside. It'd be the perfect combination."

"What do you say? Maybe we could help Pokemon be beautiful inside and out," Zane asks.

Suzie questions, "You mean open a Pokemon Beauty Salon together?"

"Great idea! Do it! Don't you think so, guys?" Mew says.

The Pokemon agree.

"If you do, Togepi and I will be your first customers," Misty says.

Then Suzie turns to Brock, "How about you? What do you think about this idea, Brock?"

"I think you and Zane will make a great team, Suzie," Brock says.

"You do? Then that settles it. It's a deal, Zane," Suzie says, and extends her hand.

Zane takes her hand, "I think we'll be a great match."

Brock laughs, "Isn't this great, guys?"

"It is for them," Misty says.

Then the announcer says, "Next up, number thirty-seven. Number thirty-seven to the stage, please."

"Great!" Suzie says, and picks up Vulpix, "Well, Brock, this is it."

"Go get em, Brock," Mew says.

"You bet! We're gonna win this!" Brock says, and steps forward.

Then Zane says, "Well, Brock, Suzie's right." and extends his hand to Brock.

"About what?" Brock asks.

"I hate to admit it, but I've been jealous ever since you and Suzie met each other. She told me you're the best. Now I know it's true," Zane says.

"She did?" Brock asks, surprised.

But then smiles, "Hey! I'll try to do my best." And takes Zane's hand

Soon the crowd is applauding for Brock and Suzie, and Vulpix, including Mew and the others. Will the team walk away with top honors? Maybe, maybe not. But one thing's certain, win or lose, Brock will always be top breeder in our book.
