  "You bunch of meddlers!" Anton insulted in response. "You'll pay for this!"

Meanwhile, Adrian and Mr. Fukui sneak in and started to untie the ropes on the passengers and guided them to safety while Anton's men are distracted. 

Then, Rico responded, "Heh, we have a strategy."

  "Yeah, we worked together," Jonathan added.

  Meanwhile, while he and Mr. Fukui are keeping the door of the cafeteria open for the passengers, Adrian noticed a Palpitoad, masked, trembling and crying under of one of the tables next to a divider.

  "Woah, is that a Palpitoad?" he thought to himself.

He then left the door to his father, and went to that Palpitoad and asked, "Hey, are you okay?"

Upon hearing that, Palpitoad turned around while taking off its mask.

Then, Absol and Prinplup went to them and responded in compassion towards the Palpitoad.

  "Are you supposed to be with your Trainer's gang?" Adrian asked.

But then, Palpitoad shook its head with fear, indicating that it doesn't want to engage in the violence of its Trainer's gang.

Understanding its emotions, Adrian was concerned about the Palpitoad's mental and emotional state, so he decided to take it in temporarily. Mr. Fukui was, too, concerned about it so he allowed his son to do that. 

  "Do you want to defect?" Adrian asked it. 

Eventually, the Palpitoad nodded with a renewed vigor to defect, taking off its mask and threw it on the floor, signaling that it had decided to defect for good. 

At the same time, the crew, still locked up in their cabin, managed to call the coast guard for help using a backup telephone, and the coast guard are now on their way for a rescue and arrest mission.

  Meanwhile, back at the battle, Rico commanded Riolu and Litleo, "Riolu, use Focus Blast, and Litleo, use Flamethrower!" 

  "Greninja, use Double Team!" Jonathan commanded Greninja. 

Riolu and Litleo then all used Focus Blast and Flamethrower, while Greninja charged at Electivire and used Double Team, making multiple illusionary copies of itself to surround it. 

Once Electivire was hit by Focus Blast and Flamethrower, Jonathan then commanded Greninja, "Then use Water Shuriken!" 

Greninja and its illusionary copies then used Water Shuriken simultaneously, striking Electivire with much power. 

  "No!" Anton responded to this. 

As the dust settles, Electivire was defeated, and this infuriates Anton as well. 

Greninja's illusionary copies of itself then dissipated into thin air. 

  "Woah, we did!" Rico responded with positive enthusiasm, before he and Jonathan share a figh-five. 

Then, the coast guard was coming, and Anton noticed it right away, so he called his Electivire back. "I'll get you next time."

He then tried to escape to his boat, but Jonathan was smart enough to trip him with his leg. 

Anton's men tried to escape and get away with it, but Rico's Riolu and Litleo just went and destroyed their boats with Focus Blast and Flamethrower. 

And so, the coast guard arrived, and they managed to break the door of the cabin so the crew would be free. 

At the same time, they also arrested Anton and his gang for hijacking a ship.
