Pokémon Kyanite and Copper (Revised Version)

Chapter 67: Chapter 67 – An Accidental Send

Later, the ship had managed to arrive back at the port so the passengers would get off without a scratch. Meanwhile, the police arrived at the scene, too, as well as Adrian's relatives and Camellia, the Water-type gym leader of Galen City, only to see the hectic scene. Some police officers are getting information from the crew and passengers while others are escorting the handcuffed Vandals into their police vehicles. Their Pokémon, however, are not included, and they will be taken to a local Pokémon Adoption Shelter for adoption.

Upon seeing that Adrian and his father were alright, Adrian's cousin, Paulita, ran towards them. "Adrian!"

Upon seeing her, Adrian responded, "Hey, cous."

Holding Adrian's left hand, Paulita asked, "Are you okay? We heard that your ship was being hijacked."

"Yes, we're fine, Paulita," Mr. Fukui responded.

To that, Paulita sighed in relief. "Thank goodness."

She then let go of Adrian's hand. Then, her parents came. "Adrian, Fukui-san, are you two okay?"

 "Yes, uncle, aunt," Adrian replied.

After that, Adrian, who was holding the same Palpitoad, looked at Rico and Jonathan, who were giving out some information to Officer Jenny.

"Hold up." he stood up and ran towards the two siblings. "Hey, Rico..."

Upon hearing that, Rico turned towards him. "Oh, hey, Adrian-kun, what is it?"

"Did you and Jonathan-san defeat the leader of that gang?" Adrian asked.

"Yeah, we did," Rico answered back. Riolu then responded with positive confidence.

"With a bit of a margin," Jonathan added.

Adrian was amazed at their teamwork and strength. "Wow, I wished I could be like you guys."

Then, Camellia came to the scene. "What happened here?"

Rico and the others looked at her.

"It seems that the Vandals are at it again," Officer Jenny briefly replied, "but no one was hurt at all."

To that, Camellia sighed in relief. "This happens again and again."

"But it was the final straw so we just arrested them," Officer Jenny continued on.

"Yeah, you're welcome," Jonathan positively added.

 "Why?"

"We just prevented them from escaping by having their boats destroyed by my Pokemon," Rico answered back happily.

Riolu and Litleo then became a bit proud of their smart thinking.

Amazed by it, Camellia commented. "Wow, so smart."

Rico then smiled, feeling appreciated.

After that, Jonathan looked at Adrian, who was still holding Palpitoad.

"Why do you have one of their Pokémon?" he asked.

The rest then looked at it.

"Well, you see," Adrian responded back, "it wants to defect to us."

Rico and Jonathan were stunned. "What? Really?"

"Yes, and I was thinking about giving this to my cousin," Adrian replied back.

Upon hearing that, Paulita ran towards them. "What? May I have it?"

Looking at her, Adrian answered back, "Yeah, sure."

He then gave the Pokémon to her, who was happy to have another Pokémon in her small team.

"Thank you so much, Adrian-kun," she said to him with delight. Then to Palpitoad. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of you."

Palpitoad was happy to adapt to a new, better Trainer.

Officer Jenny allows this so Palpitoad would be better off with a new Trainer.

Rico and the others are happy about that.

Watching this, Camellia looked at Rico, and she began to think, "This kid has potential. I wonder if he is here for the gym badge..."

That question will be answered when tomorrow comes.

At the same time, the tour was cancelled because of this, and the passengers got their refunds.

Later, back at the resort hotel, in the restaurant, Rico and his group celebrated their part in stopping the hijacking with a delicious meal, which was prepared by the restaurant staff as soon as they had heard what had happened in the waters off Galen City.

"Cheers!" they all said as they clang their glasses of various refreshments together.

After that, they drank and ate their delicious meal.

Their Pokémon are eating their special food nearby.

"Man, my life was never that eventful," Rico commented to them.

 "Oh really?" Adrian asked.

"My life mostly revolves around school and living mundane."

"But today seems to be interesting, right?" Jonathan responded. "I mean, we're now on TV."

 "Yeah, I saw it, too."

Rico found that out when a TV reporter came to him for a short interview.

"Well, we did it, together," Mr. Fukui said to them. "Remember our region's trait?"

The four of them then responded together, "Cooperation!"

Later after dinner, in their hotel room, Rico, once he had documented what had happened that day in his journal, was texting in his family's group chat, but he accidentally included his selfie picture of himself and Jonathan along with the message. So, without knowing what he was sending, Rico sent it to his parents. Then, seconds later, Rico realized what he had done. "Oh no!"

Jonathan heard that, and he went to his bed. "What is it, Rico?"

Rico then looked at him with fear. "I accidentally sent a photo of us on the ship to mom and dad."

"What?" Jonathan responded with mild shock.

Because of its Trainer's carelessness, Riolu gave itself a facepalm while the rest are a bit disappointed.

Rico then looked at them. "Sorry."

Meanwhile, at their home in Kawayan City, Lucas was doing some work in the dining room in his laptop when he received the message and photo from his son. Upon opening the picture, he was shocked to see that Jonathan was alive and with Rico. He still recognized Jonathan's looks from 7 years ago.

Then, Rosario came with a glass of milk. "What's wrong, honey?"

Lucas then looked at her. "Our eldest son...he's alive."

Rosario was shocked, and she almost dropped her glass. "What?"

She then ran to see the photo, only to faint at Jonathan's looks.

"Oh, no, Rosa, are you okay?" he asked upon seeing that.

When will they see their eldest son again?
