Pokemon: This Gary is Very Different

"Metagross, use Agility!"

Before Shiftry's Shadow Ball could reach it, Gary's Shiny Metagross vanished, dodging the attack with its boosted speed.

Each time Shiny Metagross reappeared in a different spot, the Shadow Ball followed closely behind, trying to catch up.

In this intense chase, Metagross managed to get close to Shiftry.

"Now, Metagross, use Meteor Mash!"

Metagross obeyed Gary's command, its metallic arm glowing as it swung at the nearby Shiftry.

"Leaf Blade!" Sidney commanded.

Shiftry wasn't going to go down without a fight. Its leaf-like arms flashed green as it countered Metagross's Meteor Mash with Leaf Blade.

The two Pokémon clashed, sending dust and debris flying across the battlefield. After the brief exchange, both Metagross and Shiftry pulled back and quickly dove into another bout of close combat.

Despite the ongoing battle, it became apparent that Shiftry's strength was slightly above Metagross's, and after a few more rounds, Metagross started to show signs of struggle.

Noticing this, Gary decided to change tactics.

"Metagross, use Protect!"

A thin, green barrier appeared around Shiny Metagross, blocking Shiftry's next Leaf Blade attack.

Taking advantage of the brief moment, Gary gave his next command. "Use Bullet Punch!"

With blinding speed, Metagross launched a series of punches at Shiftry, each hit landing like a bullet and forcing Shiftry back several meters.

"Well done!" Sidney said with a smile, impressed by Gary's move. "But next time, you won't be so lucky."

Sidney's expression grew serious as he gave his next command. "Shiftry, use Swords Dance!"

At Sidney's order, Shiftry crossed its arms and began performing the Swords Dance, boosting its attack power.

"No, don't let it finish!" Gary shouted, realizing the danger. "Metagross, use Flash Cannon!"

Metagross quickly charged energy and unleashed a powerful Flash Cannon towards Shiftry.

However, Shiftry didn't panic. Just before the Flash Cannon could hit, Shiftry leaped into the air, avoiding the attack, and successfully completed its Swords Dance.

"Not good!" Gary muttered, knowing the situation had turned against him.

Sidney grinned. "Shiftry, use Vacuum Wave!"

From midair, Shiftry swung its arms, unleashing dozens of white energy blades that descended like petals, slicing towards Metagross.

Metagross, having just finished its own attack, couldn't dodge in time. The Vacuum Wave, now powered up by Swords Dance, struck Metagross, causing it to cry out in pain.

"Now, Brick Break!"

Without missing a beat, Shiftry followed up with a Brick Break, charging towards Metagross. Before Metagross could react, Shiftry's fist connected, landing a critical hit.

The force of the attack sent Metagross flying back, landing heavily in front of Gary. After enduring the powerful strike, Metagross's eyes turned into spirals, signaling that it was unable to continue fighting.

"You did well, Metagross. Take a rest," Gary said, returning his Shiny Metagross to its Poké Ball with a heavy heart.

But he wasn't done yet.

"Alright, it's up to you now, Arcanine!" Gary sent out his last Pokémon, his trusted Arcanine, at level 69.

As soon as Arcanine appeared, it howled to the sky, declaring its intent to avenge its fallen comrades and secure victory.

"What a bold spirit!" Sidney remarked, impressed by Arcanine's determination.

"Let's see what you've got!" Sidney said, ready for the next phase of the battle.

"Alright, Arcanine, let's go! Use Flamethrower!"

With a powerful roar, Arcanine opened its mouth, unleashing a blazing stream of fire that surged toward Shiftry. The heat on the battlefield instantly intensified as the flames roared forward.

"Air Slash!" Sidney quickly commanded.

Shiftry swung its arms, sending out several white energy blades to intercept the Flamethrower. The two moves collided, and after a brief struggle, both attacks dissipated in an explosion.

"Dark Pulse!"

As soon as the flames cleared, Sidney instructed Shiftry to launch a Dark Pulse. A black beam shot forward, aimed directly at Arcanine.

"Extreme Speed!" Gary countered.

Before the Dark Pulse could hit, Arcanine vanished in a blur, using its incredible speed to dodge the attack. With lightning-quick movement, Arcanine rapidly closed the distance between itself and Shiftry, appearing behind its opponent, ready to strike.

"Arcanine, use..."
