Chapter 49: The King's Obligation
Oh right, there was that thing about fathering a male half-elf. Strangely, I almost forgot about that. That kind of thing should be very memorable, but a lot of memorable stuff happened.
"Of course. I'd be happy to." I replied.
I lifted the covers, inviting her into the bed. Sera climbed in, looking even redder. I hope she doesn't faint or something.
In bed, Sera was looking extremely nervous. As much as I'd like to be gentle with her and make her comfortable, which honestly isn't that much, it would make this take forever. So, I took the lead, and pushed past her nervousness.
Unfortunately, Sera is also very loud in bed. I'm sure everyone in the palace knows exactly what we are doing. Partway through, Rose and a few other fairies came in to watch, and Sera didn't notice. After a while, we were finished.
"It's fun, isn't it?" said Rose, startling Sera.
Sera gasped loudly. "You were watching!?"
It seemed like Sera's nervousness was completely gone at the end, but now her face is turning red again.
"Yeah, I saw." said Rose, giving a thumbs up. "Good job."
I couldn't help but laugh at that, Rose was also making a silly face. Then I hugged Sera.
"Good job, Sera." I whispered in her ear.
Sera swooned and then she covered her face. I got comfortable in a cuddle and closed my eyes to sleep.
In the morning, Sera had convened her council to discuss the amazon move. They were discussing the preparations they would have to make and the living arrangements they would organize. Sera was slumped over in her chair wearing a dreamy expression.
"I can't believe we have to play host for those brutes." said one of the advisors.
"The amazon presence could be of great benefit to us." said another. " The addition of amazon labor will allow more elves to focus on craftsmanship."
"Amazons frequently start unnecessary fights. We learned a long time ago that coexistence with them is best at a distance."
"King Titus will mediate our disputes. His majesty can keep their behavior in check."
"We simply do not have the infrastructure to support all of them. It's not reasonable to expect us to build so much, so quickly."
"At least we're not the ones being forced to move," said another. "The amazons are taking on the greater burden here."
"So, our new king demands too much from them as well."
"Do not question King Titus," said Sera. "Besides, this is something the amazons and I agreed to in his absence."
"But why?"
"To better serve our king, of course. Would you prefer that he live with amazons and only visit us?" said Sera.
"I see, that would make it difficult to conceive a male."
"Can we at least negotiate for more favorable terms?"
"No." said Sera, decisively. "King Titus will have his way. All we can do is align our interests with his. I have learned that it is futile to resist him in any way."
Sera was blushing a little and had a distant look in her eye, and Sera's advisors looked at Sera with obvious worry and confusion on their faces.
The discussion on how to host the amazons in the elf village continued on for a while.
