Reincarnation Paradise: Moon Walker

Chapter 10: 10: The Passion of Jonathan Joestar.

"Come on, Jonathan, show me your Passion~"

Jonathan didn't know exactly what state he was in, not only was he suffering, but he could also feel that he now possessed a power he never thought he would ever be able to use.

"Kill.... invader... fate... curse," a strange voice that sounded like the incessant noise of millions of different but similar voices echoed in his head, causing him a headache and making his situation even worse.

Jonathan gradually felt that he could stand up, his senses could now perceive more things than before, but this only worsened his misery. What he was experiencing now was not only physical pain but mental pain as well.

Selene, his ally, his partner, the girl who trained with him, the one who was so kind to him and even understood when he had some doubts, was murdering his master's master.

'Why?' Jojo thought subconsciously.

He didn't know why his ally in the supposed crusade against evil had betrayed his side in such a way! The immense physical pain wouldn't let him think, but unfortunately, he was too lucid at the moment.

Red electric sparks flowed all over his body as he just stood there, the embracing warmth surging from him and the brightness of the sun seemed to descend upon this night once again.

The zombies around him felt uncomfortable, the mere fact that they could see Jonathan Joestar harmed them, just like he was a saint, an existence their corrupted eyes could not see.

The crown of purple thorns around his head, visible only to Selene, gave him a holy aspect, and his being covered in black blood, as well as his expression of pain, made him look like a martyr.

Jonathan tried to speak, but all he could do was spit out a stream of foul-smelling black blood, which was quickly evaporated by the hamon covering his body. He was sick, he could feel it more than anyone else, the pain was not just a whim, something was destroying his body irreparably and leading him to death.

He was sick, he could feel it more than anyone else, the pain was not just a whim, something was destroying his body irreparably and leading him to death.

But his willpower seemed to be baptized by the pain, and with tears in his eyes that soon turned to blood, he slowly opened his mouth. In front of Selene's expectant eyes, Jojo spoke.

"Why?" it was a simple question, but it contained a compendium of all his emotions and sufferings, but he wanted an answer because he knew that she would give it to him.

"Survive, Jojo, I have to survive and I'm not willing to lose any chance to gain more chances to do so. Your death, Zeppeli's, those Hamon warriors, Erina's... it's all for the chance to survive," Selene's ruthless words only made Jojo clench his fist.

Even though he was emaciated, the power surging inside him was more than enough, a simple gesture on his part sent strong danger signals to Selene, who saw Jonathan's fist grow larger before her eyes.

"Sweet" Selene was brutally punched in the face, sending her flying dozens of feet.

Her body rolled across the floor, kicking up dust and debris until it stopped, but she knew Jonathan wouldn't just stop there, so Selene rolled on the floor on her own, dodging Jojo's foot.

Jojo's foot made a crater, sending debris flying, but he didn't care, he had to tear the damn traitor apart. Not just for himself or his allies, but for the world itself, because apparently 'God' had asked him to do it.

'But is he God?' Jojo wondered as he watched Selene stand up and wipe the blood from her lips, the red hue seeming to permeate them like a sinister lipstick, adding to the woman's evil charm.

"Fight for the destiny of this world, Jonathan Joestar, burn with the flame of your lineage," was the voice he heard before he received the 'mission' to fight Selene and end her life, but he had his doubts.

What did destiny have to do with it and why did Dio seem to be reluctant - my lineage? If this was about his family? Jonathan saw some pictures of a group of strange men and women.

Except they were in some strange poses, each of them facing different enemies under strange leadership, as if they could never live in peace, but most of all they all had a star like his on their bodies and a power he didn't understand until he recognized it in himself.

"My descendants, their fate..." muttered Jonathan, at the same time he started to cough black blood, but the crown of thorns on his head became more and more 'real', even a normal human could see the blurred details of it.

"That's interesting," Selene had little desire to fight a seemingly strong Jonathan, to call her a coward, but she held on to the need to live, and fighting Jojo wasn't part of it, at least not until he weakened.

"You figured it out too, Jojo?" Dio, watching his 'brother's' situation from the piece of the world he had stolen, smiled.

If he could, so could Jojo! The Joestar boy always found a way to catch up, no matter how hard he tried to leave him behind, so he didn't think this time would be any different.

"You have to fight, don't hesitate! Keep going! Burn, Jonathan Joestar!" the voice in Jonathan's head became visibly anxious, making Jojo smile foolishly.

"God doesn't get scared," he said quietly, but strangely enough, everyone present could hear him loud and clear.

Selene narrowed her eyes and looked up at the sky, a trace of contempt in her gaze. God, or rather 'God'? There was a big difference between Big D and some stupid guy with a God complex, and she had an idea who that guy might be.

"Selene, I don't understand what you're doing, right now I feel very conflicted with you, I hate you, but....why should I burn and shatter the 'destiny' of my descendants? Although they may not show up this time, hahaha... but, I can see them, they are there, in other places," Jonathan looked around in a disoriented way, and Selene knew it when she focused on his eyes.

Her curse had been more than effective, because now Jonathan's eyes were blind, but he could still somehow 'see' his descendants, maybe that was related to his Stand, which should be called 'The Passion'.

"Aren't you going to fight?" asked Selene, who slowly backed away, her body burning with Moonlight energy, she didn't want to get hurt by being unprepared again.

"It's no use, I'm going to die, the person I love is dead at your hands and I have a feeling that even if I defeat you, you won't die," Jonathan shook his head, ignoring the increasingly worried voices in his head.

"Dio, you will always be my brother, even if you were the cause of my father's death, I will always see you as a part of my family... it would have been nice to meet your son, he has an interesting power," Jonathan murmured, knowing that Dio could hear him perfectly.

Dio's eyes shrank when he stole from the world for the first time and saw his destiny, he also saw that of his 'son', although that was debatable because he was supposed to use Jonathan's body in this future, but anyway, it was a revelation for him and showed him completely how powerful his power, the Stands, was.

Although he knew that he could not reach this strange arrow and therefore chose the transcendence indicated by Selene, the power demonstrated by Giorno Giovanna, his supposed son, was worthy of a "god".

The red sparks in Jonathan's body gradually disappeared, that exuberant power seemed to leave him, and suddenly he felt empty, but the crown on his head burned in a unique golden glow.

"Borrowed power is always borrowed power, isn't it? But the materialization of my soul is not something you can steal from me, and for manipulating my bloodline behind the scenes and then throwing it away like a dirty rag, I, Jonathan Joestar, refuse!" in his last breath, Jonathan's blind eyes suddenly 'focused' on Selene.

"I hate you with all my being, Selene, so I will give you one last 'gift', suffer the curse of the entire Joestar bloodline," as Jonathan's body lost its life, the purple crown on his head flew straight at Selene.

It didn't matter if she flinched or dodged, it seemed to be fixed by something higher, something she didn't quite understand, and even though she distrusted the crown, just because Jonathan's words indicated it had to do with a curse, she resigned herself to accepting her supposed 'gift' because she couldn't help it.

The ringing of the messages didn't distract Selene much, she just felt a terrible pain in a part she didn't know she had, but could instinctively identify, her damn soul ached.

But just as that pain threatened to break her, a Red Moon appeared deep within her soul, "grabbed" that pain and the crown, and began to fuse them, so to speak, with Selene's soul.

When all this happened, it seemed like only a few seconds had passed in reality, although to Selene it felt like a thousand years, something that exhausted her mentally, but a smile hung on her lips when she saw the blue treasure chest floating over Jonathan's corpse, who strangely had white hair.

"Shortly after I became a vampire, I imagined the scene where I would see Jojo with white hair, I never expected that in some strange way, it would come true," Dio, who had returned to the real world, looked with some sadness at the corpse of the one who had once been his brother, his rival.

"Life has strange ways of doing things," Selene picked up the treasure chest, but from her angle, she was just crouching in front of Jonathan's body, respectfully touching his chest.

She closed the eyes that had lost their light, even if she had to do cruel things to survive, not that Selene had no human emotions. Did it hurt her to have done that? A little, but she didn't regret it, she would certainly do it again, and even more drastically.

She didn't have to adjust to the Reincarnation Paradise like many others, she was already insane before she entered the park, joining the long line of madmen who would terrorize the Void and everything beyond in the future.

Selene paid attention to the messages, trying to figure out what the hell had happened to her, and although she had a vague idea of what had happened, she wanted to get a better idea of things.

Selene stood up after reading all this information, a blood-stained smile appearing on her face, and she couldn't help but feel that it seemed to be very easy to cast her curses now, especially the ones related to disadvantages.

She also felt that if she practiced, she could get better at performing illusions, which made her think quite clearly that she needed to sum up her harvests, as her strength would undoubtedly take a significant leap in the future.

But having a lot of skills like some contractors is not a good idea, the best is to go the technical and passive way, expensive, but it is certainly the best, so I don't think I need more things, except for resources", keeping her plans and needs in mind, she looked at the unconscious Zeppeli with greedy eyes.

Her crosses were now all black except for one, and the asymmetry made her anxious, so it was only fair to make them all the same color, right?

At least Zeppeli could die in peace, without having to experience the suffering of betrayal, and in a way, that was the mercy Selene gave her for training her.

[You have murdered the Hamon warrior William Zeppeli.]

Right after you picked up the green treasure chest that Zeppeli dropped, you felt a strange feeling in the atmosphere, everything seemed slower and weirder, and then you received notifications from the Reincarnation Paradise.

[Due to your actions, you have attracted the gaze of the being known as the Beyond!]

[Warning! The changes caused by the hunter in this world have increased the difficulty.]

[Warning! The being known as Beyond is heading to your location.]

[Warning! The hunter is advised to flee the area he is in, or return to the park after completing the main quest].

Selene stopped looking at these messages because it was no longer necessary to pay attention to them... Beyond had arrived.

A tall man, dressed in white robes and wearing a crown of thorns, but unlike the one Jojo possessed, they were embedded in his flesh, making him bleed.

His face was covered in blood, but his sharp features were visible, his beard drooping, free of any dirt. His mere presence wiped out all the zombies present, making Dio feel as if he stood before the sun itself, but his own Stand appeared behind him, protecting him.

"You are not Jesus, why do you have this appearance?" asked Selene, uncomfortable with the appearance of the being before her.

"I only take on this appearance because I believe in what I am, it is not fixed..." Beyond began to constantly change his appearance, showing past, present, and future figures in a matter of seconds, before returning to his previous appearance.

"Now, intruder, why are you ruining the script that was written for this world?" although Beyond's voice showed no emotion, Selene and Dio sensed the anger in his words, something that made them both look at each other with smiles on their faces.

If he was angry, it could only mean one thing: he had shortcomings, and with shortcomings comes weakness, something they could take advantage of, after all, they were both cunning.
