Reincarnation Paradise: Moon Walker

Chapter 11: 11: Like a RPG: Kill God. Beyond.

[You have received a new Emergency Mission!]

[Emergency Mission: Survive, defeat, or kill Beyond].

[Time Limit: As long as Beyond remains on the earthly plane.]

[Description: In this world, all destiny has been scripted and written by Beyond. Simply put, he is the 'God' of this world, and he is angry with you for the unintended consequences of your actions. You must survive his attacks, any means necessary].

[Reward: Depends on the actions and results during your confrontation with Beyond].

[Penalty: None].

When she saw the mission the park had given her, she knew she had to do everything to survive. The penalties in Reincarnation Paradise are usually drastic, usually involving the elimination of the contractor.

The fact that there was no punishment in this mission meant only one thing: What punishment could they give to someone already dead? The consequences of her confrontation with the Beyond are good, if she manages to survive, bad... she would simply fall into this world, a very common scenario for all contractors.

Shit," she said as she summoned the product of her new ability. A black cross, but unlike typical crosses, this one had a golden circle around the junction of the two bars, giving it a strangely sacred appearance despite the ominous and dark aura the construct emanated.

"I like to change the plots of things I don't like. If a book has an ending I don't like, I imagine a different one, Eragon should have stayed with Arya, Wang Lin found peace after suffering so much damage, and Aang and Toph got married," Selene started to say nonsensical things, at least to others, but the underlying meaning was understandable.

This girl likes to ruin the 'plot' set up by others! This thought made Dio grin, showing the fangs in his mouth, and a strange urge to laugh arose in him.

On the other hand, Beyond, who didn't seem to have good control over his emotions, looked at Selene angrily, especially at the cross she had summoned. This power felt like a 'Stand', but it was different, its essence was even contrary to the power system of this world, and that made him, as the scribe of this world, feel disgusted.

"Insolent! You don't know how much energy I've wasted maintaining the changes brought about by your stupid actions, and you're even making me waste energy appearing here.

Just because you 'don't like it' you ruin all my work?" asked Beyond with literal flames in his eyes, the pressure caused by his presence and anger could make anyone prostrate before him, but Dio and Selene remained standing.

"Yes, it's obvious, isn't it? If you don't like something, don't ignore it, change it, tear it, delete it!" Selene said these words already jokingly, of course, if you don't like something, just ignore it, but she just wanted to make the bastard who wanted to push her uncomfortable.

No one would make her get on her knees! Unless it was to perform oral sex on a pretty girl, she would never go down on her knees. The four cursed crosses began to swirl around her, and as they burned away, a new curse brewed in her mind.

"I've had enough of you," he said without saying much more, and Beyond's body began to move, slowly approaching them.

Well, slowly according to Selene's and Dio's point of view, both of them could feel a strange sense of inevitability, as if the approach of this being was something they couldn't stop, no matter what.

"I hate complicated abilities," she muttered as she projected the curse she had created in the form of a halo.

Not by any stretch of the imagination did she think she could directly curse a being of such magnitude, but it was much better to inflict a series of disadvantages, however slight. Then several pulses of red energy erupted from the cross Selene had summoned.

"Disadvantage: Weakness", although Beyond did not seem to be visibly affected, the strange influence it caused was considerably weakened, now they felt they could 'try' to avoid its approach.

"Disadvantage: Disadvantage: Uncoordination" With the pulse of energy coming from Selene, Beyond could feel that it became much more difficult for him to focus on his enemies, and even his walking became relatively more complicated.

How could simple curses affect him? He didn't know, but if he wanted to stop Selene, he had to give up the execution of his ability, so it would just be a waste of energy, so he kept walking, thinking that maybe this was the most she could do against him.

Big mistake.

"For some strange reason he didn't understand, Beyond began to feel like he was 'bleeding', a more metaphorical situation that caused his current physical state to begin to lose vitality.

His energy began to be consumed to prevent this loss, but it seemed to be continuous, and with no visible wound, there was nothing to heal or close, so this consumption became more and more severe.

"Disadvantage: Blindness," his perception began to be affected, especially his eyes, although he could still see, he could no longer focus his attention on those who dared to change the fate he had written.

His strange ability was broken, there was no longer that strange atmosphere, and his body swayed as he had to defend himself by raising his hands to prevent Dio's fist from hitting his head.

The provoked wind lifted the gravel from the cracked ground. Only when he was close to Dio could he concentrate on him, and when he tried to counterattack, a special feeling of weakness attacked his body, just as he heard Selene's voice.

"Disadvantage: Fatigue" Beyond felt it this time, this curse accelerated the consumption of his already scarce energy, and his reactions became relatively more careless, falling victim to Dio's fists.

"I'll make you write my 'destiny', you bastard!" Being rude for the first time in a long time due to his upbringing, Dio decided to give this annoying pretentious being a good beating.

It was only a weak vase! The fists of Dio's stand began to smash into Beyond's body, and as they fell, a strange battle cry began to sound.

"Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless! Useless!" with Beyond's body lifted into the air, the blows continuing to fall like rain.

The noise of the onslaught resembled a machine gun, Beyond could only stagger under the powerful blows of this mighty stand, and Dio even took the opportunity to use one of his vampiric abilities.

"Wry! Bending his legs and bringing his back close to the ground, Dio raised his head and stared at the supposed god who had dealt him a terrible fate.

A pair of pink lightning bolts erupted from his eyes, hitting a Beyond that had flown into the clouds. And as his body fell to the pull of gravity, Selene's voice resounded again, like a judge delivering her verdict.

"Disadvantage: Chaos" Beyond's mind seemed to be affected by strange murmurs and visions he didn't quite understand.

Strange voices, lamentations, prayers, complaints, screams, many screams of pain, pleasure, anger, rage, elation, a strange mixture of emotions poured into him, constantly fragmenting his psyche.

Visions of a huge red moon attacked him, in it he seemed to see something more, the essence of something he could never attain, his scripts seemed pathetic at the magnificence of what his divine mind was accepting.

'Can something so chaotic and evil be so perfect' he thought, unaware that his being was being eroded by some undefined contamination, to see an existence of such magnitude, even at his level of life, was dangerous.

'If chaos is perfect, why organize everything with a perfect script, is it not better to let everything fall into disorder?' Beyond began to question the root of his existence. He was nothing more than this world's answer to evolving optimally, and now he saw that his mere existence was insignificant in the face of such a being.

"What a pure mind... even if you are tainted, you cling to your existence," Beyond heard, or at least he would have if his being had not fallen silent.

"Sister, are you having fun watching these alien worlds again? They're no fun!" another voice rang out, though her words might give the wrong impression, her voice was very mature, like that of an older lady.

"Funny, one of my past attempts brought me a surprise, I never thought I would see another spirit so attached to its ideals, similar to those guys," the first one said, sighing as if her words brought back a pleasant memory.

"You mean those three humans? The first two were the spark for two past eras and the third..." the second voice murmured thoughtfully.

"It doesn't matter what you do, just don't attract bugs to our world, this 'Reincarnation Paradise' is already annoying me for wanting to give asylum to your supposed attempt in another world, stop making trouble, we already refuse, stop attracting the attention of that grumpy thing," another female voice, much more strict and serious, interrupted the dialog, making the first voice laugh.

"Go away, little one. Put some pressure on my little sprout, otherwise the story wouldn't be interesting," with a wild laugh echoing in his ear, Beyond looked up to the sky.

He was lying on the ground, covered in bruises and wounds, his fleshly body unable to withstand the damage he had received, let alone contain all of his power. Golden cracks appeared on his skin as if he were a broken and badly glued vessel.

"Hold on to your existence..." muttered Beyond as memories of what HE was appeared in his mind.

Yes, the whole god game or whatever he was doing was way over his head, but it was ridiculous, he wasn't even a being that resembled the divine concept, he just thought it fit him because of his nature.

He was a Stand, no, he was the STAND that belonged to this world.

Beyond's skin seemed to break completely, exploding into glowing pieces, but before any joyful emotions could appear in his enemies, Dio went flying and crashed into a large pile of rocks.

His body was bruised and broken, his bones protruding, and blood gushing from his body. Dio didn't understand what had happened until he felt the damage he had suffered and felt the familiarity of it.

"I will strike back at you, Dio Brando," Beyond's ethereal voice was heard, this time his appearance had changed, no, not even that.

Beyond was now a mere mass of glowing light in humanoid form, with no distinguishable features, just standing there looking at them, or so it seemed. Though the curses still affected him, they seemed to have little real effect on his new form.

"Disadvantage: Slowness," Selene said fearlessly, and although the red light shot through Beyond, his movements didn't seem to have stopped he didn't even need to.

With his pure intent, the world would respond to his wishes, and so it did, suddenly enveloping Selene in a pillar of pure light. This pillar rose into the sky and joined with the sparse storm clouds, which were still flashing golden rays.

"Disadvantage..." Selene's voice suddenly trailed off as an overwhelming sense of death completely gripped her, and she just looked rigidly up.

Even with all the light surrounding her, she could see it, a thick golden beam falling towards her, and with no chance to defend herself against what it was, a damn level 1 Limit Lightning, she screamed, screamed in pure pain.

To feel an entire world damaging you was not an experience Selene wanted to have any time soon, but here she was, facing all the damage a being of Beyond's magnitude could cause because he had all the administrative rights to this world.

After all, he was the embodiment of the planet's soul, constantly weeding out the 'parasites' that inhabited it, like the first type of intelligent life on this world, or the Kars group to be better understood.

Beyond had remembered his true purpose, the reason for his existence, his past experiences were like the temptations a certain man suffered in the past, and by overcoming them, either on his own or with help, he simply regained his true self.

"When I come out of this suffering... I'll make you pay, Beyond!" cried Selene before the sound of lightning drowned out her words, but the bloodlust in her scream lingered in the air.
