"Kok Seong?" Baek Yisoo muttered. Kok Seong was the instructor who made him a guard candidate. Since he was the only one who trained the real guards, he was very powerful and influential. Since the Head Guard and Head Instructor had gone to war with the clan leader, he came right behind Madame and the Head Maid. 

Even though the two of them had the same rank on paper, Kok Seong was older in age, so Instructor Mo treated him with respect. 

"Good morning everyone," a stern voice echoed across the training ground. Kok Seong stepped onto the training ground in his azure-colored robe. Behind him was another guard with a stern expression, dressed in the same color robe. He was a man with thick eyebrows and a big head. 

"Good morning, sir!" 

All of the guard cadets saluted in unison. 

"Hyung, why did you call us here so early in the morning?" Instructor Mo looked at Kok Seong with a forced expression. 

"I have good and motivating news for you. But first I have a question. Brother Mo, how would you rate the current state of the guard candidates? Does anyone look promising?" Kok Seong asked, standing in front of the group and looking at everyone carefully.

"They can handle"

"Handle? Are they that good?" 

Kok Seong smiled and took a step towards Instructor Mo, patted him on the shoulder in a friendly manner, then turned to the group of candidates. 

"Before I make the announcement, let me introduce an important person of the Baek Clan. He is Tong Kyu-bok, a former officer of the Demon Execution Squadron and captain of the Waterway Guard Team. He will give the good news.

Madame will attend the banquet to represent the Demon Execution Squadron and the Baek Clan. The Waterway Guard Team will be in charge of Madame's protection during the trip. The whispering suddenly stopped.
