Soul Land: Bibi Dong Is My Martial Soul

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Bibi Dong Is Inside Me?

Chapter 3: Bibi Dong Is Inside Me?

"Little Aunt, I'm back!"

"So, what spirit did you awaken? Do you have spirit power?"

"My spirit is the Soul-Hunting Spear, and my innate spirit power is at Level 2!"

"Good, good, that's great..."

...

When Su Mo returned home, he quickly reported the results of his spirit awakening to his little aunt.

Su Mo's parents had passed away, so he lived with his little aunt's family. Since they had no boys of their own, his little aunt's family treated Su Mo almost like their own son.

However, that was before. Earlier this year, Su Mo's cousin was born, and since then, except for his little aunt, the rest of the family didn't treat Su Mo as warmly as they used to, even though he had always been intelligent and polite.

But Su Mo didn't mind. Now that his aunt's family had a son, it was natural for them to favor him—that's just human nature.

On the contrary, Su Mo was grateful for the kindness his aunt's family had shown him!

And after today, knowing that Su Mo could become a soul master, he believed that his aunt's family would start caring for him more again.

...

After returning to his room, Su Mo sat on his bed, once again feeling the spirit power flowing through him.

"This is amazing!"

"This feeling is incredible!"

As he sensed the spirit power circulating within him, Su Mo slightly clenched his right hand, guiding the spirit power to it. He could feel his strength in that hand increase significantly.

Buzz—

With that, Su Mo summoned his martial spirit, the Soul-Hunting Spear, and carefully examined it.

The spear was over a meter long, perfectly suited to his current height. Its body was dark and gave off the impression of an iron spear—nothing extraordinary in quality.

"Innate spirit power of Level 2 matches it well enough."

Su Mo sighed, then retracted the Soul-Hunting Spear.

"Now, let's find out if what I felt earlier was just an illusion..."

Su Mo's eyes flashed with determination as he closed them.

He had to figure out whether the sensation of awakening a second martial spirit was real or just his imagination.

Whoo~

Su Mo let out a long breath, relaxing his mind and body.

Then, he began to carefully sense his own condition.

Buzz—

As Su Mo calmed his mind and focused on sensing himself, something unexpected happened—he suddenly gained a vision without opening his eyes.

Su Mo found himself in a quiet void, where his Soul-Hunting Spear floated silently before him.

Upon closer inspection, it was indeed his martial spirit.

"Is this my inner world? Or the martial spirit space?"

Su Mo was astonished. He never expected to be able to enter his own body, achieving something like the internal vision described in martial arts novels.

Su Mo guessed that since his soul was reincarnated, it might have given him a stronger spiritual power, allowing him to enter this internal vision and step into his martial spirit space after awakening.

After the initial excitement, Su Mo's attention was quickly drawn to a cluster of blood-red mist hovering next to his Soul-Hunting Spear.

"Could this be the second martial spirit I sensed?"

Su Mo's heart skipped a beat, but no matter how hard he tried to observe it, all he could see was a mist.

Could his second martial spirit be a blood-red mist?

But Su Mo noticed that he could only faintly sense a weak connection between himself and the mist, nothing like the strong bond he had with the Soul-Hunting Spear, which he could summon at will.

Su Mo reached out and tried to touch the blood-red mist.

Whoosh—

The moment his hand made contact with the mist, a powerful force pulled Su Mo's entire being into it.

His surroundings shifted abruptly, and when Su Mo came to his senses, he found himself standing in a massive, dark cavern.

Gurgle, gurgle—

At the center of the cavern was a pool of blood, where the crimson liquid bubbled and churned.

The eerie sight made Su Mo's scalp tingle with unease.

However, mustering his courage, Su Mo carefully observed the blood pool. Since this was one of his twin martial spirits, it shouldn't harm him… right?

"Wait… is that…"

"Bibi Dong…"

"How could this be…"

As Su Mo finally got a clear look at the blood pool, a wave of shock surged through him.

Lying peacefully within the blood pool was a figure he recognized all too well—Bibi Dong, the primary antagonist of Soul Land, and the Pope of the Spirit Hall.

However, the Bibi Dong in the blood pool was different. She had her eyes closed in peaceful slumber, creating a stark contrast with the sinister blood pool surrounding her.

"Little one, your spiritual power is quite impressive to be able to enter here!"

As Su Mo stared in shock at Bibi Dong in the blood pool, a cold and elegant voice suddenly echoed in his ears.

"Who's there?"

Startled, Su Mo quickly turned toward the direction of the voice.

What he saw made his skin crawl even more—another Bibi Dong.

But unlike the one peacefully resting in the blood pool, this Bibi Dong had her cold, beautiful eyes fixed on Su Mo with an icy gaze.

This was, of course, Bibi Dong's spiritual consciousness manifesting before him.

Given that she had become Su Mo's martial spirit, Bibi Dong harbored a great deal of resentment toward him, and her gaze naturally wasn't friendly.

"Who are you? Why are you inside my body?"

Despite the shock coursing through him, Su Mo pretended not to recognize Bibi Dong and questioned her.

He had no idea why Bibi Dong was in his body, nor whether she knew he was a reincarnated soul. For now, he decided to play dumb and act as though he didn't know who she was.

After all, even if Bibi Dong realized he was a reincarnated soul, she wouldn't necessarily know that he had watched Soul Land in his previous life.

Why am I here? I'd like to know that myself!

Bibi Dong was filled with bitterness and resentment as she heard Su Mo's question.

She, the dignified Rakshasa God, had somehow become someone else's martial spirit—a situation she could hardly accept.

"Little one, no need to be nervous. You've probably already noticed that you have a second martial spirit, right?"

Despite her internal frustration and displeasure toward Su Mo, Bibi Dong quickly composed herself, smiling warmly at him.

She didn't want to act this way, but she had no choice. She needed Su Mo to let down his guard and trust her.

"Yes, yes!"

"Do you know what my second martial spirit is?"

Seeing Bibi Dong's change in attitude, Su Mo felt a stir within and quickly followed up with a question.

He had a faint suspicion, but it seemed too absurd to be true.

"Of course. I am your second martial spirit!"

Sure enough, Bibi Dong's next words confirmed Su Mo's suspicion.
