[ Chapter II (2): "IN FOR THE INTERVIEW" ]

[ JUNE 17, 1989 ] [ WIZARDRY WORLD, HOGWARTS GROUNDS ]
There are many ways a wizard or witch can travel through the wizardry world, it can either be through the use of the Floo Network, in which he'll have to use a chimney and magically enchanted dust to get into his desired destination.
But usually that is limited due to all the chimneys in both the wizardry world and muggle world not being connected, only to a selective few.
Thankfully Hogwarts is one of those places that the Floo Network has connection with, a permission is just required to travel into theirs.
And thankfully Felix Harp, the red-eyed 19 year-old boy has such permission through his connections, and for the interview. As his House Head in hearing about his interview had prepared for him the way to get in.
In times like this, Felix have always felt grateful in the swift process of how his House Head worked.
Clutching at the one time permission at his hand, at the paper that has the address for the Floo Network of her office, and the time frame in which he'll have permission in it. Exactly 9:00-10:00AM, in the morning.
In seeing the time, on the clock' in his office, which was about to hit 9:00. Felix made sure to stand on his chimney, holding a fistful of magically enchanted dust on hand.
[ "Hogwarts!" ] In which he threw under him, under the flames which didn't burn him in one bit, nor the tailored suit of his.
In response to his words, the once slightly orange colored flames turned green. Seconds later the tired figure of Felix who's dressed to the teeth in fancy clothing disappeared.
Having reappeared somewhere else.
Opening his eyes, Felix quickly noticed the place where he appeared. The silent worry of reappearing somewhere else other than his intended location quickly being clenched as he noticed what was in front of him.
An office highly organized, with books shelved on the corner, brooms decorated on the walls alongside other alchemical products.
This all belongs to the strict-looking woman who's scribbling something on her table. The Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts — Minerva McGonagall.
[ "Professor!" ]
[ "How have you been! " ]
[ "Doing great, I hope." ]
Also being the House Head of his when he was a student in Hogwarts.
A surprise, the boy is studious yet a Gryffindor which usually has courageous people in it who much rather go on adventures than get a book.
But, that stereotype was broken by your one and only, Felix Harp, Alchemist extraordinair of the Wizardry World amongst many other made up and gifted titles.
Here to present himself, and give the strict-looking McGonagall problems, once again.
[ "Great, it's you." ]
Not looking up from her desk, but instead at the magically enchanted watch on her wrist made McGonagall frown slightly. Before finally looking up, at the face of her graduated student.
[ "Right on time, I'm impressed." ]
[ "Guess you didn't forget much of my teachings after all." ]
Putting on her glasses, McGonagall braced herself for the impending questioning, and small talks she'll receive.
Standing up she motioned for him to follow suit, and like a young puppy he did so. His eager mouth opening up, questions coming out in quick motion.
Mostly relating to Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, and Herbology. Some related to Quidditch in which she answered in extensive details, the same too with Alchemy products.
[ "-fire is weak against water. But in my extensive research I found out that, you made mistakes in some part, causing the fire to be much more powerful compared to the other elements, or fighter type of Monster Cards." ]
Monster Cards, a type of Alchemy product that Felix researched intensively on when he was a student. From his 5th year a concept, which he worked on subsequently on his 6th year.
And finally perfected in the 7th year, in which he released using the help of his Professor McGonagall. Became a big hit throughout the Diagon Alley in the first go, and in no time it spread, causing a lack of supply.
Felix who was not interested in Alchemy, or selling his products got confused when he was dragged out of his comfortable bed by his roommates.
Being paraded along the way, him still in his pajamas, grumpy and confused, he wondered why all of Hogwarts was looking at him like he just killed a thousand year-old Basilisk or something.
The numerous Professors not doing a thing but instead smile at him, except to the Professor of Potions in which deducted him by 5 points due to him walking in his pajamas, on Sunday when no class was given.
But nonetheless, the pride in which the other Professors like Professor Flitwick felt throughout that week was indescribable. The Charm's Professor practically jumped up and down no matter where he goes.
Feeling happy for his wonderful student, buying himself and for others as many Monster Cards he could possibly buy — gifted some to his pen pals, which also caused a ripple, due to them not having heard of such an Alchemical product before.
The numerous bragging of Flitwick in his letters made them frown slightly, thinking that there was no such thing, and that no 17 year-old could do such a miraculous thing in such a short span of time.
But, in courtesy some send their regards, and believe in him, some sent their congratulations in having such a student. But mostly the replies weren't that favorable in the 70+ year-old Professor's eyes, so he decided to send them one Monster Card each — which shut them the hell up.
No matter the cost of each card, or even the set of cards. Ranging from 1-25 Gold Galleons for each card at that time. Alongside that enthusiast, Felix's House Head also became an enthusiast in part due to the bragging of her old time friend.
Her affinity with the small game her baby cub did, was actually that great. With her being the champion in the first-ever mock competition ever held in Hogwarts.
Done and spread by the Headmaster at that time, intended for the students to have fun and relax before the holidays could come. Unexpectedly it was heard by Flitwick, and McGonagall, in which both of them unashamedly joined in, fighting kids and defeating them one-by-one.
Both of them reaching the finals, before ultimately battling it out. Due to a mistake in Flitwick's part, his card, Merlin which was based off of him tripped, failing to cast his ultimate — which lead to his lost.
Now no matter where they are, the two of them would battle it out, not worrying if either of them had class on that time. They would even battle it out whenever they would meet in the hallways, causing a spectacle every time, some even in the Great Hall.
With the Headmaster, other Professors like Pomona Sprout the House Head of Hufflepuff joining in some cases. A four-way battle in which the latter two will be defeated in, before ultimate leading to a one vs one scenario again, everytime.
Professor Flitwick taking a liking to the Monster Cards which has high affinity to either air, or stealth, his gameplay being more on stealth and trickery, and sometimes plain on power play, overwhelming the enemy.
Professor McGonagall on the other hand much favors creative types of Monster Cards, those who can bend the earth, or can be classified as long range. Like the fire-witch for example who greatly resembles her.
This gameplay of them both caused them to conflict sometimes, on which tactic is better. With them both losing-and-winning, none could proudly announce who amongst them both, or even to the other students who's way of playing is better.
Hopefully it can be decided on the first-ever official tournament of Monster Cards this year, first-week of the school year in September if Felix wasn't remembering it wrongly.
Nonetheless, due to the success of this small pet peeve of his, the encouragements from the Professors, from fellow students, and even the whole of the Wizardry World made Felix realize the potential of Alchemy.
And Alchemical products's impact to the Wizardry World, particularly entertainment in which he found solace in, in both the dark times and what to do next in life.
Thankfully now he is more skilled in the art of Alchemy, having the ability to more-on build complex toys in his liking. Make money through it, and bring smiles through it.
