Chapter 73: Babata's Fear

After making all the necessary arrangements and ensuring he was well-prepared, Qin Mu set out for Misty Island. Qin Mu wasn't entirely sure of Misty Island's exact location, but he knew it was situated in the central part of Australia. Nearby stood the Ape Mountain Range, home to a large number of ape-like monsters. Close to the Ape Mountain Range was a vast lake spanning a hundred miles, with Misty Island at its heart.

Armed with this crucial information, Qin Mu used his military authority to mobilize satellites for a thorough search. It didn't take long for him to pinpoint the exact location.

For this trip to Misty Island, Qin Mu didn't plan to go alone. Instead, he brought along a large number of high Horde Leader flying Zerg.

Australia was far from peaceful. Before the Great Nirvana period, it was renowned for its diverse and abundant wildlife, which meant the number and variety of monsters here were staggering. Surrounded by the sea, Australia had become a haven for monsters, earning it a spot among the three most dangerous places on Earth. Only the elite students from the Limit Dojo's Elite Training Camp would venture here during their annual training in August. Otherwise, the place was rarely visited.

The land was teeming with king-level monsters, and the number of Horde Leader monsters was even more terrifying, with beast packs roaming everywhere. Especially around Misty Island, the high-ranking Horde Leaders in the hundred-mile-wide lake numbered close to a hundred.

Qin Mu suspected that the reason for this astonishing density of monsters was because Babata had dropped a few Muya Crystals on the island. Although he didn't think these monsters could harm him, Qin Mu still brought 300 high-ranking Horde Leader flying Zerg units with him.

A group flying Zerg units soared through the sky at high speed, heading straight for Misty Island.

No flying monsters dared to block their path. Even if they encountered king-level monsters, this number was more than enough to handle them.

"Australia is indeed one of the three most dangerous places on Earth. The number of monsters here is truly staggering," Qin Mu thought, riding a Golden Flame Eagle and looking down at the astonishing number of monster packs below. This was a vast, green wilderness covered with dense vegetation, where countless monsters fought and hunted in the jungle.

However, Qin Mu had no immediate plans to place a nest here. This place was undoubtedly under Babata's close surveillance, and placing the Nest here would likely be discovered immediately. Unless Babata was willing to follow him, Qin Mu didn't want to expose the Nest's existence so easily. On Earth, exposure wasn't a big issue, but in the universe, it could lead to severe problems. Countless powerful beings and forces would undoubtedly try to seize it.

As Qin Mu flew over with 300 high Horde Leader flying monsters, the ground and jungle below were filled with terrified monsters, all lying low to avoid being discovered. Soon, Qin Mu reached the Ape Mountain Range marked on the military map, which was home to a large number of ape-like monsters. Qin Mu paid no attention and continued forward until he reached the vast lake spanning a hundred miles. Such a large lake was easy to locate.

Under Qin Mu's control, the Golden Flame Eagle descended in altitude. The lake was shrouded in mist, and even a Wargod's vision could barely penetrate a hundred meters. Even Qin Mu could only see through about a thousand meters. For a Wargod, this distance was very short, and a battle could be engaged almost instantly.

"I wonder if Babata will take a liking to me? Logically, she should, since my brain width is already 35, far surpassing even Luo Feng," Qin Mu thought.

However, he had no idea that as he led a large group of high Horde Leader monsters into Australia, deep beneath Misty Island, 15,000 meters underground, in the dim hall of a metal spaceship, a 1.45-meter-tall figure, resembling a child with two horns on his forehead, blood-red eyes, and dressed in a black robe, looked extremely gloomy.

"Let's activate the stealth system at full power. Not a single trace must be leaked." The black-robed child's face was grim, his gaze seemingly penetrating the thick ground as he watched Qin Mu approaching Misty Island.

"This Qin Mu is definitely suspicious. Most likely related to that Bug Queen! Could it be that during the master's secret technique, the Bug Queen found an opportunity? Or has the Bug Queen awakened over these years?"

The black-robed child was puzzled but felt something was off. If the Bug Queen had truly awakened, the Earth would have been destroyed long ago. After all, that was a Sector Lord level Bug Queen. Even its master had to rely on a sneak attack to put it into soul sleep.

The entire Earth, including the No. 9 Ancient Civilization Ruins, was under the black-robed child's surveillance. Others hadn't discovered the well-hidden Nests, but he had.

At first, the black-robed child didn't pay much attention because the Nest was too weak, only capable of hatching soldier-level monsters, equivalent to low apprentice-level beasts. It had nothing to do with the Bug race. Such gene modulation technology was insignificant in the universe.

There were similar races in the universe capable of mass-producing soldiers, though the Bug race was the strongest and most advanced. He thought someone had obtained some related technology from a spaceship ruin.

But gradually, he began to notice something was wrong. The strange Nest was evolving at an alarming speed, and its numbers were increasing terrifyingly. What troubled him even more was that these Nests had started hatching various insect-like monsters in large numbers, growing at an astonishing rate. Even then, he didn't think it was related to the Bug race.

Until recently, he discovered another Nest near the one housing the Bug Queen. This Nest continuously hatched various poisonous insects and creatures, which then charged into the spherical Nest with a diameter of 800 meters without fear of death.

The poisonous gas on the surface of the spherical Nest easily killed these insects and creatures. Yet, the attacks never stopped! Ten thousand, twenty thousand, thirty thousand! A hundred thousand, a million! The number of dead poisonous insects and creatures exceeded a million, but the attacks never ceased, as if they had some mission to enter the spherical Nest. At this point, he was terrified.

"What if one of these poisonous insects actually enters the spherical Nest and awakens the dormant Bug Queen?"

"This Qin Mu is too abnormal. Why did he come to Misty Island? And without any warning, he suddenly appeared." The black-robed child's expression was almost twisted.

"The Bug Queen was already in soul sleep before coming to Earth and shouldn't know the location of the spaceship."

"Coincidence?"

"I must find a suitable successor quickly and leave Earth as far as possible. Otherwise, if the Bug Queen awakens, the entire galaxy, and even a larger area, could face extinction!"
