Tactical Annihilation: Commanding The Apocalypse

~ Two Weeks Later ~

Jake was enjoying his new lifestyle his pair of girlfriends were perfect and he was left wanting for nothing, the Premier kept his nation running like a well oiled machine as a mix of true communism from the RA side, to the Autocractic rule against the peoples of this world.

Alexander was seen as a just and proper ruler, some had even gone as far as to say he was a hero or chosen one, delivered to them to save humanity from the perils they found themselves in.

Needless to say these rumour were not quashed but instead encouraged, moral within the Union be it beasts or man had never been higher, there had even been a few instances where beasts had visited the outposts to conduct trade beyond the stated agreements.

This of course shocked the humans at first but the more it happened the more they realized the Mutant beasts weren't exactly the monster depicted but rather just another form of life that had sprung up from all kinds of animals rather than just Apes as it was with Humans.

Over the last two week's Jakes conquest of the world if you could call it that had stagnated, his reach had gone as far as it could without stepping on anyone's toes.

Going any further in developing the Scarlet Union would mean declaring war on the large beast domains or human forces.

Thanks to his skills Jake had increased the overall power of his Union considerably, first off was the deployment of 2 superunits.

Yuri, and Natasha had joined the ranks, meaning at present Jake had access to all the superunits for the system he'd unlocked thus far, And with Yuri present the training of the initiates and the founded psychic core was well underway.

Beyond that he'd managed to unlock a smattering of general RA3 units, a few more of the actors who filled the game rosters rounding out his command staff, a single casting of the weather storm superweapon, and lastly a chrono legionnaire, stronger in essence than even a superunits since a Chrono legionnaire could wipe a beings existance from the face of the earth scattering their atoms throughout time.

During the activation of their weapon the affect unit and the legionnaire itself would be frozen until the process had been completed.

This unit would become the ultimate trump card however some testing needed to be done first, could this legionnaire take on a 7th or 8th rank to eliminate them.

While the legionnaire was still only a 1st tier priority to cultivating him was given leaving such a trump card weak was unthinkable, same goes for enhancing his veterancy aiding up the attacking power and speed at which the elimination could be performed.

Inside the union new fields were being created to grow the new crops the trade delegation had obtained after their visit to Inverness.

The outposts had quickly come to terms with the new reality and were thrilled about safely being able to farm and through doing so gain ample amounts of food to sate the hunger that had been festering for their entire lives.

As for outside the union, the last two weeks had seen that the war had truly started up once again, humanities aggressive move mobilizing all citizens as a counter offensive against the beast invasion that happened, this was what really set off the war, the beasts were cold and calculating their initial attack was meant to be the end of it for now, but with the humans response they were left with no choice the cold war ended and became hot.

This new came from our delegation that continued to visit Inverness who on the last visit requested to fall under the Scarlet Union's protection, since the mounting war put them squarely in the sites of the beast lords within Greenland and with out claiming of lands in England they were mostly cutoff from the rest of the surviving human lands.

We accepted the offer of protection, but since this was a peaceful transition of power, all that happened was the installation of a fort outside of the city, slowly where the installation occurred at night so as to not completely reveal my powers to our new citizens.

And the response was surprise since a fort that should have taken months to construct sprung up entirely over the span of one week.

Trent survived it's siege, however the cost of the victory was great and after surveilling more we found out that Trent suffered from within as well as outside.

The visiting high ranks ran amok punishing the citizens and forces of Trent, they took out their pain at the loss of their own cities, having been drawn out from the European fortress's to come to Trent's aid, France, Germany, and the low countries had all suffered losses, from the spy planes scouting missions, we could surmise that the action taken against the western Europeans was taken world wide, with the lower ranked cities becoming the targets having known about human policy to require by law that aid be provided when the emergency signal is given.

But now the humans were smarting having lost millions of awakened as cities across the globe had been conquered and the humans within slain and eaten with few managing to survive as livestock to the invading beasts most doing so willingly it was afterall either that or death.

Jake watched on as the world fell to pieces around him, and his little slice of heaven.

However the good times were not meant to last.

Thanks to the GPS Satellites Jake could see the areas surrounding his territory in real time live through the command menu and judging by the movements he and the rest of the command staff were seeing, the Scarlet Union had been noticed by the beasts, and a force was gathering in the unconquered scandanavian realm, with the upgrades to the radar we could also get an idea as to the composition of this force and… it didn't look good.

The beasts had gathered together more than one hundred thousand of all manner of species and their power range started at 4th tier going all the way up to 7th.

The power of Jakes union was strong but not unshakeable, they could take on the numbers but not the strength of the tiers, perhaps they could take on numerous 5th and some 6th tiers but against 7ths Jakes forces would be forced to fallback lest they be destroyed.

Even supersoldiers like Tanya, Boris or Natasha would be unable to stand their ground currently even though they were 6th tiers, the minute they all got sight of the 7th tiers scouted all had to sadly shake their heads knowing in their guts they weren't strong enough to defeat them yet.

However that's where Jake had his hidden trump card.

Watching for when the mutant beast force was at capacity Jake had planned to launch a counter offensive before the beast army got it's chance to make it's move.

That moment came two days later, the beasts numbers had risen till they approached 200,000 this army was capable of wiping a number of Fortress cities from the face of the Earth.

Jake could assume the army was ready to begin their assault because the spy plane captured images that the beasts had taken to feasting, as they had seen before the battle of Trent this meant for the beasts their was no retreat possible, since they would have not any rations to survive without raiding for foods.

That desperation certainly made the beasts fight harder, knowing food lay just beyond the walls.

Jake had sent the entire Union first army to make landing in Norway, before heading north till they reached the fortress wall separating the Unions conquered space and the feral world beyond.

"Zoe, is everything ready?"

"Absolutely Comrade General."

"Eva?"

"All forces await your command."

"No sense wasting anymore time, let the operation begin. Let the missile fly."

With my say so, the first army started moving out leaving from the fortress gate meanwhile in the sky 3 missiles rocketed to their destination, having been launched from the missile silos created thanks to the command level raising to 5, as the worlds first nuclear bombs raced towards their first debut on the worlds stage.

This was Jakes plan, the assembled beasts were busy gorging themselves on eating up their provisions, with their guards down, afterall who'd be crazy enough to attack such a large army of mutant beasts?

Zombie don't leave the cities they are in, and the humans only recently began to be aggressive but not enough to be crazy.

Following the detonation of three nuclear bombs the first army would sweep through the area and deal with any survivors and start to claim but the soul stones that manage to survive the inferno.

The moment of their detonation Jake was watching through the eyes of his soldiers, the three mushroom clouds rose in the distance while on the command map the number of beasts in the area dropped drastically.

After the blastwave had passed, the first army began charging forth at full speed, the barrels of the tanks roared to life, launching hundreds of shells into the remant ranks of the mutant beasts.

Riding on their backs the infantry began firing at will sending bullets, shells, and electrical arcs at anything that moved.

The clash of armies was just wholesale slaughter.

The first army managed to completely mop up the entire beast army after only a few hours, and with little to no casualties at that.

There were a couple of fatalities due to the complacency of the soldiers a lesson that will be dealt with during future training.

The majority of the beasts had been incinerated under nuclear fire, but even still thousands of soul cores were recovered from the scene by the 1st army.

Luckily the soul cores that survived were those from the higher rank beasts, mostly because while they were injured by the blasts they were evaporated, but during the mop up operation, they could hardly fight back before the army euthanized them, allowing for full extraction of their cores.

With these 7th rank cores the super soliders and even regular units could manage to break through from their current bottleneck at the 6th rank increasing them up to the 7th rank or possibly even the 8th rank.

With the use of his skills that also meant Jake would also become an awakened of similar rank to his strongest unit.

**Beast POV**

"Just what in the hell was that!!!"

"That's what we'd all like to know! It was your idea to push the humans so far and now they've unleashed such a weapon on us that we lost an entire invasion group to a single attack, while the humans sift through the remains."

"Did nothing truly survive?"

"No, except for the scouts we'd had position away from the main force to keep an eye on the result of their invasion of the lands to the south."

"Just how great were the losses?"

"Hundreds of thousands of 4th and 5th tiers, close to 1,000 6th and 20 7th ranks."

"So many and we're sure this was the human's doing?"

"After the explosions caused by the shells ended the human army stormed the field, so if it wasn't the humans, then it was something else the humans had made themselves subservient to."

"Something else?"

"Y'know the humans have always held the belief there was life elsewhere in the sky so perhaps this is that other life."

"Well it matters little, we need to prepare a new army letting a force with this kind of power rest will be our undoing."

"If they can clear out more than a dozen 7th's we'll need to send in some 8ths to clear out this new threat but if we do that we'll lose ground to the humans in other areas."

"We can always reclaim those areas, the goal is the end not how we get there. Besides we'll still need numbers to invade the southlands."

"Agreed, if we have to we will assemble all 8ths to roll over this new threat before we turn once more to the humans."

**Human POV**

"Is there a new 8th amonst us?"

"No all of our checks confirm there have been no new awakenings amonst humans of the planet, this was something else, something just as powerful."

"So someone found and used a hidden cache containing experimental weaponry from before the apocalypse?"

"Or they were working in one of those underground caches onto to emerge and find the world in the state it is, and seeing the threat used their new weapon against the beasts."

"If they have such a weapon they should hand it over to the council! Power like that in unsupervised hands, whats to stop them from turning that power against us and reigning over humanity with tyranny."

"No need to jump to conclusions, all we know so far is that they've attacked the mutant beasts who were assembling another invasion force."

"So long as they don't turn their weapons on us, I say we leave them along for now our focus need to remain on the various fronts against the mutant beasts, this war is far worse than the last their numbers have grown exponentially due to our limited culling of their numbers."

"So we leave this threat looming in the distance, all to deal with the threat on our doorstep?"

"It's the only choice we have at this point, we will be reaching out to them to see their intent, but if it turns out they do not wish to work with us, they will become our enemies in the future."

"You are right, even if we called an attack our forces would fall just like the Mutant beasts did, and a large assault by that many people would also draw in the beasts to attack the weakened city while the army is away just like giving them a second chance at their last offensive we cannot let that happen."
