" So.. you are a C Rank awekener with very rare dark element " said the women.

"Whats my potential... ma'am" said Leon with curious eyes.

"First of all you can call me 'Sasha' " she said.

"now that we have confirmed you have C Rank, we can check your potentential, go there and put your left hand inside that hole "

She said while pointing at a machine which has one hand sized hole in it and has a big blue coloured screen above it.

Leon walked toward it and put his left hand the inside the machine. There was a loud beeping sound coming out of it and then the screen above the display truns bright red and there was big golden coloured letter in it saying ' S '

Sasha was surprised her eyes widened. She walked towards the machine and double checked no triple no.., she cheked machine at least ten times while redoing the procedure .

" I..impossiple " said Sasha with surprised tone she was still surprised, how can not she be it was impossible to have S Rank potential while being C Rank.

" You have S rank potential " said Sasha.

"Please can you wait here while I make a call" said Sasha leaving the room while dialing a numer on her phone. She didn't even hear Leon.

Leon was also surprised by seeing his potential despite being from slums he has vague idea about how ranking system worked.

After Sasha left the room Leon sat on a white plastic chair and thought

'Oh.. I was so surprised I forgot to check those loud notifications' an expression of happiness can be seen on his face.

He called 'notification' in his mind.

As he tought a golden screen appeared in front of him. There was tons of notification in front of him saying.

[ Host has aquired a class " ASSASSIN " ]

"So I am an assassin now", he said out loud with a smirk.

He checked other notification.

[ Host body has began to change according to host's class ]

He was exhilarated by seeing he can level up and increase his strength by just killing. And he can also absorb their core.

'My speed will be double of a normal awakener to reach next rank' thought Leon. He was very happy.

He immediately called status window in his mind after he checking these notifications, he was very exited to see his modified stats.

Another screen appeared in front of him but this time it was golden in colour.

Stealth : presence of the host is decreased by half. During night, host's presence will be brarely noticeable.

Soul Reaper: host can heal himself by absorbing dead organisms through placing hand on them.

Dark adaptation: Resistance against dark element attack increase massively.

After seeing his stats he was almost about to jump out of the chair. He focused his concentration towards the title.

Another screen appeared before him-

All seeing eye (passive) (upgradable) :you can see anyone's health points and mana points of any species . You can see at night and visible range of your eyes increases.

The title will disappear from the status screen and title effects will be merged with host current stats ]

Leon feel sudden brust of energy all over his body and after some time it disappeared. His sight became far much clearer than before. He can feel his overall strength has increased

He was joyed by seeing the title effects and increase in affinity but also confused who made this system and why was he chosen. He was lost in thought for some time .

He snapped out of it and checked in his status window for one more time.

'My MP is very low. I should start off by improving it first.' thought Leon as he clicked in the screen and put all his free points in intelligence.

'Now I can use Phantom Strike two times' thought Leon .

He was satisfied with the result and he closed the screen in front of him.

After about ten minutes Sasha came back. As he looked towards Leon, a surprised expression was clearly visible on her face.

'Did he became more handsome while I was gone' she tought while walking near Leon.

Leon stood in his place. Before he could say anything Sasha said

"Head of Hunter association branch wants to see you." she paused for some time and said "please come with me I will escort you to him."

Leon just nodded because he somehow anticipated what was going on.

They both walked out of the room and entered spacial lift together. Suddenly they were on completely different floor there was only one massive door in front of him made out of wood.

*Knock* *Knock* Sasha knocked the door.

After some time a voice came out of the room.

"Let boy step in first" a deep pitched voice come from inside.

"You have to go alone inside, don't worry our head is good person" said Sasha after seeing confused look in Leon's face.

Leon nodded and entered the room.

There he saw a man in full black suit while wearing white shirt under it. He was sitting on a red sofa. While drinking tea from a cup. He was very handsome. His hair and eyes were red and had many scars in his face.He was releasing aura of dominance from him.

" So, you are Leon, Sasha told me all about what happened." He said in his heavy voice

" Come sit there and have some tea. I want to have a chat with you." said by the man while gesturing in front of him.

Leon just nodded and sat on the sofa in front of him.

"First of all my name is Kevin Holand I am head of the Hunter Association in Azure city," said the man.

Leon was surprised by hearing his name but did not show in his face,

'Kevin Holand an S+ rank Avekner' he thought with astonishmwnt.

" So Leon where are you from ?" asked by Kevin.

"I am from the slums in the outskirts of the city" said by Leon.

"How many members are in your family"

"Me and only me" said Leon with normal tone.

"Do you have friends?"

"None, because in slums survival is priority for everyone" said Leon

After some tought he said

"Have you checked your status window?" said Kevin.

Leon nodded.

"What class do you get"

" Assassin with Dark element." said Leon. He told Kevin about his elment because Sasha has known about his dark element.

"That settles it," he said with slight joy in his tone , "as you know you will be enrolled in Hunter Academy whose next semester will start in one month from now."

Leon nodded. Hunter academy was place where new awakeners are trained and taught about the things that hunter needs to know for survival.

"Our association want to make a contract with you before you go to the Academy" Kevin said while crossing his finger.

"What type of contract ?" Leon said with confused tone.

"You have potential of S Rank while being C Rank awakener which is impossible, you also have dark element which is extremely rare and there is no S rank assassin in whole Dragon Empire" he said and then looked directly in Leon's eyes.

"I will not beat around the bush..." he said as he was looking directly at Leon'seyes. " We want to invest in you so that you can join Hunter Association in future."

" We will give you good place for staying while you are on the academy with a payment of 50 gold coins per month " Kevin said with expecting some reaction from Leon's face.

But to his dissapointment Leon was calm and was lost in deep tought for some time. Kevin give him his space and did not ask any question because he know it is a big decision to make which will decide his future.

After some time Leon said :

"I am okay with the condition but I want someting more" he said while his hand on the chin.

" And what is that " Kevin said while thinking

'Is he another brat driven by greed.'

"Do you have any library in association'' Leon said.

"Yes and its quite a big one." He said with confused look what does this boy want with libaray.

"I want full access to the library and I want an A Rank assassin to train me for entire month until go to the academy." Leon said.

"And why is that you want to train" Kevin said with confused tone.

" As far as I can remember, I was in slums I do not have any fight training and any knowledge about other species, other classes , elements and many other things." with little pause he countinued.

"Prior to the other people who will be present at the academy I lack in every aspect. So I want to improve my knowledge and fighting experience so I can atleast be compared to them." said Leon with serious tone.

"Okay, I will arrange A Rank Assassin to improve your fighting capbilities and you will get free pass to our library." Kevin said.

"Oh, I also want a space ring you can cut my overall monthly payment accroding to the price of the ring" Leon said this because he know space rings are can only be brought only above B Rank and it is very expensive.

"Hmm, okay I will provide you a space ring, but monthly payment will be same consider this my gift for you." Kevin said. After some time he countinued

"But you will have to do something for me in fututre" he said with serious tone.

"If it's in my capabilities I will do it" said Leon.

After signing the contract. Leon was leveing the room but Kevin stopped him and said

"Go to twenth floor and ask about your belongings in EQUIPMENT counter they will provide you with keys and address of your appartment, back account details in which we will give you your monthly payments, space ring and basic equipment for assassin" Leon nodden and left the room.

Sasha was sitting in a chair near the door of the room. She stood up on her position and watch Leon walk towards the space lift.

"Sasha you can come in now" after hearing this Sasha go inside the the room. She saw Kevin with wide smile on his face.

"What happened Kevin? Do you like that kid?" she asked with curious tone.

Kevin glance at her and said

"His future is very bright. My gut is saying that if he becomes S Rank someday he will definitely be among top ten Ranking in Dragon Empire" Sasha was shoked by these words.

"Oh yeah you look very impressed by that boy."

"Indeed." he said while taking a sip of tea.

'But that's what concern me' he thought looking out of the window near him.
