The Bad Boy's Promise

"Sh-She," Victoria took another step closer and nudged her friend with the tip of her foot.

She moved, as if her body had no power in controlling any kind of reaction. When Victoria repeat reaction again, but with a much forceful gesture, her leg went back and forth but then came back to being still.

"She's dead?" The boy said, "yeah, she must be."

The shock was still registering itself in her mind, but she processed his words and slowly turned her face into his direction, "excuse me?"

"What?" He moved, as if shrugging. "she was stupid enough to escape alone, she had no idea and was probably just running in random directions. What did you expect?"

He was chirping today.

Honestly, she now preferred him mute and agitated.

"She's dead." Victoria told him, "I knew her. Do you know what that means?" We could be next.

"That, we could be next?" He offered. "Maybe you, but she's going to keep me alive."

"Oh?" She scoffed and stepped into his direction. "So maybe it was my fault to make sure that the blood clotted on your knife wound until they provided you with a doctor or maybe I should have not really focused on getting your fever down from an infection. Next time come… In fact, when you get an infection from those nails inside your feet, I am not going to be the one to help you. I'm going to be the one to watch."

She stopped when she was directly in front of him, enough to feel his hot breath on her face.

"You know what your problem is, you have the same problem as her. Instead of getting out of it together, using the brains of two and not one, you would prefer to do it yourself and get caught and then die." She chuckled, "I'm not sure if my parents would be able to find me before I get out of here, but one thing is sure, at least I would not die out of stupidity."

Huffing, she went back to the corner and made sure to not look in the direction of Leah.

"You sure have a lot to say," he muttered after some time. " I didn't ask you to help me."

"And as I said," She snapped, "I would not repeat this mistake again. So expect not to wake up the next time you close your fucking eyes!"

Entitled fucking kid, made her abuse for the first time.

She was very much aware of the dead body in the room. The third person that was not breathing, it was hard to swallow down the fact and not pay attention to it.

Maybe the fact that there was no light in the room helped more than anything.

"you… You attacked that woman."

Yes, she did, "she was hurting you."

"Yes," he replied, "she was hurting me." He emphasised on 'me'. "Why did you attack her?"

Pursuing her lips a little, Victoria thought about what he asked. Why did she attack her?

The attention of the woman was obviously on the boy and Victoria was not going to be a target, so she thought. So why would she go ahead and attack a woman who could have easily overpowered her and killed her on the spot?

"I don't know," she shrugged, "I am kind?"

"You're stupid."

"Probably." she agreed.
