Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Forging the Warrior Within
After defeating the scout and realizing the dangers that still lurked in the universe, Kaidan knew his current strength wasn't enough. Despite his growing power, there were beings far stronger than him. He resolved to push himself harder than ever.
Genesis' Proposal
As Kaidan rested by a small stream, drinking the clear, refreshing water, the system chimed in.
Genesis:
Analysis suggests that your current training methods are effective but insufficient for exponential growth.
Kaidan frowned, wiping his mouth. "What do you mean by that? I've been growing steadily."
Genesis:
Correct. However, steady growth will not suffice against enemies of significantly higher power. You must face challenges that push you beyond your limits. Ventarra's gravity and fauna have become insufficient.
Kaidan nodded slowly. "So, what's your suggestion?"
Genesis:
The southern region of Ventarra contains a volcanic zone with extreme heat and gravity pockets. Training there will test your endurance, ki control, and adaptability to hostile environments.
Kaidan smirked. "A little heat doesn't scare me. Let's do it."
Journey to the Volcanic Zone
The trek to the volcanic region was grueling. The heat intensified with every step, and the ground became increasingly unstable. Streams of lava crisscrossed the terrain, and the air was thick with ash and sulfur.
Kaidan paused at the edge of the zone, staring at the bubbling lava pools and geysers of molten rock. "This place is insane."
Genesis:
Environmental conditions: Gravity here is 2.5 times higher than the rest of Ventarra. Temperature exceeds 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Sustained ki control will be necessary to avoid heat-induced damage.
Kaidan's eyes narrowed. "Perfect."
The First Test
Kaidan began his training by navigating the volcanic terrain. He leaped from rock to rock, avoiding the molten rivers while maintaining his balance under the increased gravity. Each step was a challenge, his muscles straining to keep up.
Sweat poured down his face as he focused on controlling his ki to shield his body from the heat. He practiced energy blasts, targeting distant rock formations while dodging geysers of lava.
Genesis Notification:
Combat Power: 15,500.
Despite the progress, Kaidan found himself struggling. His energy reserves drained quickly, and the oppressive heat sapped his strength.
"Genesis," he gasped, "how am I supposed to last out here?"
Genesis:
Adaptation is key. Your Legendary Saiyan Genes allow you to acclimate to extreme conditions over time. The longer you endure, the stronger you will become.
Kaidan gritted his teeth, determination flaring. "Fine. Bring it on."
