Dark red blood popped out of Jack’s mouth behind me. My burning power was quickly extinguished, and my head swung back. Because I was so angry, I forgot to take care of him.

I stopped my power and quickly approached him. Jack was panting as if his life would end at any moment.

Jack had no one to blame. It was a punishment that he was shaken for a moment. He tried to kill someone else’s child to protect his child. He should have refused from the beginning. My heart was pounding rapidly. Even as I panicked, Jack’s life was gradually fading away like a candle blew in the wind.
