Chapter 15: BLOODLINE OF SACRIFICE [2]
Caspian stared at the floating blue screen in front of him, his thoughts racing.
"Bloodline of Sacrifice," he muttered under his breath.
"What is that? I've never read about it in the novel."
{Same here,}
"Then how do I use it?" Caspian asked.
{Didn't any memories or instincts bond to your mind when the bloodline awakened?}
"No," Caspian replied, shaking his head.
{What?!} Bloodmoon exclaimed.
{When a bloodline awakens, it's supposed to come with the knowledge of how to use it. That's basic! What about that weird blue screen you're seeing? Is it modern technology? Doesn't it have answers?}
"It's a system-like thing," Caspian explained.
"It shows stats and information about me… but nothing specific about the bloodline so far."
Bloodmoon was silent for a moment. Then it said, {Ask it how to use your bloodline.}
Caspian frowned.
"Ask it? Like, talk to it?"
{Yes! If it's smart enough to show you all this, it might know something. Worth a shot, right?}
Taking a deep breath, Caspian stared at the blue screen.
"System," he said aloud, his voice steady.
"How do I use the Bloodline of Sacrifice?"
The screen flickered, and new text appeared:

Caspian stared blankly at the screen in front of him, frustration building with every passing second.
"What's all of this?" Caspian muttered, rubbing his temples.
"It's like a video game... You have to earn points? What am I? Some kind of character?"
Caspian scowled.
"What the fuck does it mean by 'Blessing Locked Skills'?"
"Is it saying I already have a blessing? That doesn't make sense."
"Blessings are rare. Only a handful of people ever awaken one in their lifetime. If I really am going to awaken one, there must still be some luck left in this miserable life of mine."
He looked at the screen again, his gaze narrowing.
"But why? Why would it hint at a blessing? And why would my Bloodline be the 'Bloodline of Sacrifice'? Out of all the bloodlines in the world, I had to awaken this one? There are countless legendary bloodlines, ones that grant instant strength. But I get stuck with this."
{Hey, child, don't be so quick to dismiss it. You don't know if this bloodline is useless or not. You're only scratching the surface of what it can do. Sometimes, the greatest treasures are hidden in plain sight.}
Caspian sighed, his doubt unwavering.
"This bloodline was my last hope for survival, and now it's just another disappointment—just like you."
{Careful there, brat. I may be many things, but useless isn't one of them.}
Caspian ignored the sword.
'Hey system tell me about my blessing,' Caspian asked to system.
____________
Locked Information
____________
He clenched his fists, his jaw tightening.
"What the hell is this? Locked information? What's the point of this system if it won't even tell me about my own blessing?" he muttered.
Caspian knew the only way to awaken a blessing was to visit the church—a sacred place where the divine connection to blessings could be forged.
But the thought of leaving the Arcwright estate filled him with dread.
"The church… That's where I need to go," Caspian muttered to himself.
"But there's no way my family will ever let me step outside the estate. They've kept me locked away my entire life. Even if I asked, they'd probably laugh in my face or beat me for the audacity."
"I've never even seen the world outside these walls. The only way to do this is to run away."
{Running away, huh? Sounds bold. Do you have any idea what you're doing, or are you just planning to wing it?}
Caspian shot the sword a glare.
"Do I look like I have a choice? If I stay here, I'll be nothing but a punching bag for my brothers and a stain on my mother's pride. At least out there, I have a chance to find my own path."
"Firstly, I need to confirm a few things back at the estate. Maybe there's a way to slip out unnoticed."
With renewed determination, he started walking back toward the Arcwright estate.
.
"Where you are coming from Cas,"
