THE FATED HEIR

Liam shivered slightly after reading the message on his phone. He turned to the side and knew immediately his brother was already aware Alex was back. He quickly typed something on his phone before shoving it back into his pocket. He closed his eyes as his mind drifted to a year ago when he had now entered college.

A year ago...

Alex had sent for Liam whom he had punished under the hot afternoon sun despite his many pleas to let him go. Liam entered Alex's study panting and sweating profusely but composed himself after noticing the presence of his brother, Alex. He bowed and stood straight ready to listen to what his brother had for him. Liam felt so relieved after hearing what his brother said. It's been so long since his brother left their country and was happy after hearing he was about to leave this evening.

Present...

Liam was still in deep thought when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He opened his eyes to see Emma staring at him with a worried face. He threw her a quick smile and returned his attention to the teacher who was writing something on the board. He took his notebook and started to write down the points on the board. Liam was restless after he got the news about his brother's arrival.How could he even stay calm when he clearly knew the reason for his brother's arrival.

Emma's point of view

I was surprised to see Liam sleep in class today. Well, I'm not saying it's a crime for him to sleep in class but the Liam I know never sleeps in class. I tried calling him several times but still got know response. I tapped him on his shoulder to help him out since no one was going to do that. He slowly opened his eyes and threw me a sweet smile. I quickly turned and resumed with what I was doing before I shifted my attention to him.

Rex's point of view.

I finally understood why my brother had not called me out to stop my follish tricks since the start of the lesson after seeing how he slightly shivered on his seat. I did not need anyone to tell me Big brother Alex was back. I quickly turned my attention to the teacher when I noticed him turn to look at me , maybe to check whether I already knew what had happened. I sighed to myself since I knew he had already gotten what he wanted to know since I could not change the expression on my face after guessing what had occurred.I took a pen and started writing something in my diary since I didn't want to get distracted. After doing what I had to do, I turned to see Liam with his eyes closed. I just hoped he snapped out of his thoughts before anyone else saw him that way.I then saw Emma tap him on his left shoulder before I turned again to the teacher to listen to what he said even though I didn't need it.

An hour later, the school bell rang and they all took their bags ready to leave the class. Samfield's college was one of the rich and best colleges in Country X. The college was built on a very large piece of land with a strong fence surrounding it. Almost everyone owned a car and were either driven or drove to school. Rex quickly followed after his brother who left before he could even notice.
