THE FATED HEIR

Liam and his siblings together with a few others waited for sometime before leaving the class one after another.

The brothers also took their leave sometime later and went directly to the red luxury car parked at the school's garage.

The trio; Liam, Rex and Emma sat in in the car with Rex in the driver's seat, Liam at the passenger seat and Emma at the back seat.

Emma plugged her airpods in ears and started humming along with the time of the music while the car started.

They were able to drive out smoothly from the school's premises without any traffic since most of the students had already left by the time they came out from their class.

They drove through the freeway for a couple of minutes and soon they were headed to highway.

They finally got home after two hours.

The Ford's family lived in Merlin City but Alex had insisted that they come to Sky City for their classes. Although they were hesitant, they still had no choice but to suck it up.

Even though they weren't happy about the decision since they had to spend more hours on the road, they eventually became cool with it.

They passed through the huge Gates of the mansion after going through the security check at the gate.

The car drive for a couple of minutes before finally stoping. Liam and Emma got out of the car except for Rex who went to park the car before rushing to join them as they stepped inside.

Their Butler, Mr. Kion saw them at the door and greeted them.

Good evening young masters and young miss. Hope your day went well. The trio nodded at him.

Your brother is back so you'll all be having dinner downstairs together this evening.

Hurry to your rooms for a shower and come down for your food. The butler said to them with a gentle smile on their face.

They nodded at him and went to their various rooms whiles the butler went to the kitchen to urge the staffs with the food since it's already running late.

Liam and his siblings were pretty fast with their bath and were seated at the table within fifteen minutes.

They were already changed into new and fresh clothes with their hair brushed and combed respectively.

They indeed resembled models posing for a photoshoot.

Alex joined them a couple of minutes later and they all got up to greet him.

He nodded at them and they sat back on their seats.

The maids quickly rushed to serve the dishes on the table and bowed and left immediately after their work there was done leaving the dining area to the family, except for the butler who positioned himself somewhere not too closeand not too far from the place in order to run errands for them in between their meals if needed.

Alex on the other hand smiled and asked how they've been faring since he left and that if they have trouble with anything.

They all shook their head and replied saying nothing at all. We're fine.

Infact, even something were to happen, the news will get to him even before they could report it to him.

He said he was given them some space but actually planted people amongst them to report their every deeds to him.

How else, is Alex here just after a small slip up and he he is having dinner with them and asking of their well-being. The thought alone made them shudder in their seats.

Alex looked at them and asked if there was something wrong after seeing how they shivered in their seats.

They all shook their heads again and said we're really fine.

Alex clapped and asked them to start eating and they did. They ate very fast and they were soon done with dinner. They took some some tissues and wiped their mouth even though there was nothing there. It looked like it had become a habit.

The maids returned to clear the table and left to the kitchen.

The family chatted for a while with Liam talking very less and only responded when asked a question.

Alex got up after a while and bid the others good night, asking Liam to follow him to his study.

Liam got up to follow him.

Rex and Emma exchanged glances, wanting to speak up for Liam but ultimately decided against it at the end.

Although Alex had been less strict with them and even pampered them to some extent especially for Emma, he forbade them from involving themselves with anything related to Liam.

They've tried once which led to severe consequences with the blame falling on Liam. Since then, they did not involve themselves in Liam's matters especially when Alex is involved.

Liam stood outside the door of Alex's study and hesitated for a moment before sighing and knocking on the door. For the first time in a long time, he prayed before opening the door to enter even though he didn't know he was praying to.
