The gamer: Ryu Uzumaki

Ryu walked into the academy grounds and followed the map that he had been given of the layout to find his way. The academy itself was located near the apartment, so he had no trouble finding it but finding the classroom was a different quest, the academy was large and it was his first day, so he got there a few minutes too late.

"I'm sorry that I'm late, I couldn't find the right classroom", Ryu apologised.

The instructor, a man with dark hair and a scar across the bridge of his nose welcomed him in, "Well, you made it, which is better than what I can say for some students", he glared at an empty seat, before turning back to Ryu, "I am Iruka-sensei. Anyways, students, this is the student I was talking to you about, Ryu Uzumaki, you may ask your questions now"

A timid looking girl raised her hand, "Your last name is Uzumaki? Do you have any relations to- to naruto-kun?"

"Naruto?", wasn't that those fish cakes in ramen? What a strange name to give your child…

"Naruto Uzumaki, he is the student who is supposed to sit over there, though he hasn't showed up yet today", Iruka sensei explained.

"Well, it could very well be possible that he descends from the same clan as me, the Uzumaki clan was fractured long ago, after our hidden village was destroyed. Now, there are only few of their descendants left, me being one of them and maybe this Naruto fellow is also a descendant, though it could also be just a coincidence", Ryu explained, looking at the girl who had asked the question, she had dark hair and light eyes, she was rather cute.

"Where did you live before coming here? Since you joined the academy only today, you must've lived somewhere else before… in which hidden village did you train?", asked a pink haired girl with a big forehead.

"Me and my dad were traveling folk, he was the one who taught me my ninja techniques. And he learned it from his father, who was one of the survivors of the clan's destruction those many years ago"

"Do you know any cool techniques, like the other clan kids?", asked a boy with white hair and bags under his eyes.

"Well, my dad taught me a few water jutsu… am I allowed to show them, Iruka sensei?", Ryu looked at their teacher, who gave a silent nod. A grin spread over his face and he spun the hand seals for the hiding in mist jutsu. The room filled with a thick fog, which blinded everyone. After a few moments, he released the jutsu and the mist receded.

"Awesome", the white haired kid said.

"What is your dream?" asked a wild looking kid with a dog by his side.

"My dream? Well… if I had to pick one, it would probably be to… revive the Uzumaki clan, here in Konoha", He smiled, "If this Naruto kid is also an Uzumaki, maybe I am already a step closer than I thought"

They asked another few questions, which he answered truthfully, before Iruka sensei called for them to settle down. Ryu sat down next to the shy girl, who readily shared her notes about the history of Konoha. Just as they were in the middle of a lecture about the founding clans of Konoha, the Uchiha and the Senju, a kid with blond hair and wearing an orange jumpsuit with the Uzumaki symbol(a spiral), burst into the room, "Sorry for being late, I overslept hihihi!"

"Just… sit down and try to pay attention", Iruka seemed completely done with the blonde's antics.

"Hey, who's that?", he asked, pointing at Ryu.

"Your newest classmate, which you would know if you were here on time", Iruka sensei glared at Naruto.

"Well, nice to meet you, I'm Naruto Uzumaki and I'll become Hokage one day, believe it!"

"I'm Ryu Uzumaki, nice to meet you", Ryu said absentmindedly, as he focused on the 'jinchuriki' part, he had heard of them before, his father had taught him about them. A jinchuriki was a human vessel for one of the tailed beasts, a creature of pure chakra. It was strange, why would they hate him because of his jinchuriki status? Jinchuriki were supposed to be a village's most deadly weapon… shouldn't they be nurturing him?

"Your name is also Uzumaki? What a coincidence", and there goes the three in intelligence, he didn't connect the dots. 

Naruto walked to his seat and sat down. Not even ten minutes later, as Iruka sensei was telling them about Madara Uchiha, the blonde was already asleep on his desk.

Noticing Ryu's gaze on the blonde, a student behind him said, "Naruto is dead last, always has been and he still tried to graduate early this year, what a moron"

"H- hey, that- that is not nice!" Hinata(the shy girl) squeaked out.

"Of course a freak like you would defend the dead last", the boy laughed.

Ryu's eyes narrowed and he spoke, in a low, guttural tone, "Take… it… back"

"What? You defending the freak with freak eyes?"

"She is no freak", Ryu couldn't comprehend why this kid was making fun of her, she was so nice. She readily shared notes, she defended Naruto, she was a good person and on top of that… "she is cute, not freaky"

"C- c- cute?!", Hinata blushed deeply.

"You three, cut it out, I'm trying to teach here"

"Yes sensei", the two boys said, whilst Hinata was still blushing, too caught up in her own world to realise she had been amongst the three mentioned.
