It's the 23rd martial arts tournament everyone is signing up for it the signups close in an hour when a cloud arrives at the island it is taking place at goku drops down wearing an animal skin a brown bag with a dragon ball in it and his power pole he signs up for the tournament they say you can't fight in what you are wearing Roshi says that's fine he won't be he just participate last time because he wanted to train more once he steps away they hear sneering then someone saying it must not have done any good if he is wearing an animal hide and nothing else.
They turn to see three people dressed in green black white yellow and red clothing with kanji for crane on their chests and an old man wearing sun glasses with a crane hat but the second the taller one looks at Goku he can tell that goku is much stronger than he appears despite being a child it's almost as if he can tell that if they were to fight that it would be too close to call tien and chaozu register Goku heads to the bathroom he gets dressed in master Roshi's gi that he give's his student's puts the dragon ball back stage in the main place where the competitors will be for the finals.
Then heads for the preliminaries they go up to draw their numbers Goku got number 70 Krillin got number 70 Yamcha is in tier two before the first match starts the three friends meet up for the first time in 3 years Yamcha is still wearing his desert bandit outfit despite training with Roshi for 3 years and Krillin is still wearing his Orin temple outfit during the three years Yamcha and Krillin relearned the fighting styles they came from and combined them with the turtle style the first numbers up are 69 and 70 goku goes up his oppoent is Anton the Great.
He says that he will crush Goku and every person here especially the women Goku pictures Bulma he gets mad then without thinking he rushes up punches Anton several feet and through the wall sending him flying off of the island and into the sea everyone gasps at his strength and makes a note to not mention women or children in front of him Yamcha and Krillin sweat as does Tien and Chaozu but this confirms it for them that goku beat Tao.
everyone makes it past the prelimaries the first match is Yamcha Vs Tien the match starts off quickly with Yamcha quickly lunging at Tien they spar for a bit with Tien landing the first blow and Yamcha retaliating with one of his own Yamcha then uses his wolf fang fist attack and launches a flurry of strikes against tien who resist though matching every blow and then counters with a strong ounch to Yamcha's stomach knocking him down Yamcha decides to go all out and uses the Kamehameha surprising both Krillin and Roshi tien sees the move and reflects the move right back at Yamcha when it gets close to him Yamcha leaps into the air Tien knocks him out of bounds.
Pamput VS Jackie chun he's an arrogant kickboxer who just so happens to be a movie star he's already won smaller competitions in his home town and now he thinks that he can throw down with the best because he won his high school competiton against every student the same with college but not against any other school or dojo just those at his own school he throws a punch intentionally misses Jackie chun is unimpressed then when Pamput goes to kick him he gets knocked out leading to a 10 count.
Next match is Krillin VS chiaotzu surprises Krillin with his unnatural movements moving across the ring without moving his actual body Chiaotzu gets the first kick in lauching Krillin into the air when he moves in for a follow up strike Krillin doedges with a flip and on landing lauches hi own attack which Chaiotzu is able to avoid due to his ability to control himself while in the air Krillin then lunges at Chiaotzu and at the last second uses the afterimage technique to seemingly vanishes startling Chiaotzu.
Tien then warns Chiaotzu that Krillin is on his left, but Chiaotzu is unable to determine which way is left until it is too late and Krillin scores a powerful hit on him. They then spar for a bit until Chiaotzu takes to the air. Krillin does not jump after him as, since he cannot fly, he risks being knocked out of the ring.
While safe in the air, Chiaotzu then starts firing off multiple Dodon Rays at Krillin, which he avoids. Goku recognizes the technique as that of Mercenary Tao, and surprises Tien when he states it; when Tien asks Goku how he knows that name, Goku tells him that he killed Tao earlier. Tien leaves in a rage to inform his master; and Jackie Chun, also surprised that Goku was able to kill Mercenary Tao, informs Goku that Tao was the Crane Hermit's younger brother.
Back in the ring, Krillin is still evading Chiaotzu's assault; he realizes that the only chance he has is to retaliate and attempts to use the Kamehameha. On his first attempt, Krillin only manages to create a small energy burst that travels less than a foot; he's still excited as he now believes that he can pull it off. In the stadium, the Crane Hermit is enraged that his brother is dead, believing that the only way Goku could have killed him was with some sort of trickery; he then orders Chiaotzu to kill Krillin in retribution.
Chiaotzu prepares a full strength Dodon Wave while Krillin prepares a Kamehameha. Jackie Chun shouts from where he watching the match that the Kamehameha cannot stand up to the Dodon Ray. Chiaotzu lets loose his blast and Krillin, instead of trying to counter it, leaps in the air to avoid it and then fires, hitting Chiaotzu at point-blank range. Being that it was the first true Kamehameha that Krillin has used though, it was very potent and Chiaotzu wasn't able to recover in time before falling out of the ring losing the match.
The fourth and final match of the quarter finals is goku VS King Choppa they come to the ring they bow to each other then begin whenthe gong goes off King choppa begins with his standard opening stance Goku deosn't use one surprising everyone there including Bluma he projects his image into King Choppa's head as well as his guard it works as King choppa attacks recklessly and even starts using his best moves like the eight hnaded attack or the eight footed kick right away but Goku gets bored of blocking and dodging so he knocks King Choppa out of bounds.
It's the semi finals the first match is Jackie Chun VS Tien
Tien and Chun start off the fight with a series of strikes and throws with neither opponent getting a solid hit on the other. Jackie Chun then attempts the Afterimage Technique, creating eight images of himself around Tien, but the triclops sees right through it and lands a strong kick on Jackie, sending him crashing into one of the walls. Jackie Chun determines that he cannot fool around with Tien and takes off his jacket, prepared to go all out. Tien then lunges at him, but Jackie Chun catches Tien's hands and knees him in the gut before punting Tien away. Tien charges again, this time striking Jackie Chun with his knee and punching him to the ground. Jackie Chun gets up and strikes him back. Both fighters at this point take a small breather, reassessing each other; Tien realizing that Jackie Chun is even stronger than the Master Shen himself.
Jackie Chun asks Tien why he is serving a wicked master and Tien responds by telling Jackie Chun to shut up. He then uses one of his secret techniques, the Solar Flare and blinds Jackie Chun long enough to strike him with a powerful knee-dive to the back of the head. Tien thinks that he has put Jackie Chun into a coma with that attack, but Jackie Chun gets back up after five seconds. Jackie Chun continues to lecture Tien, saying that it is better to live and fight for the cause of good than evil and encourages Tien to abandon Master Shen. Master Shen overhears these comments and quickly pieces together that Jackie Chun is actually Master Roshi in disguise and he informs Tien of this telepathically. Tien decides to surprise the Turtle Hermit and launches a Kamehameha at him, having learned the attack by observing Yamcha perform it. Master Roshi deflects the attack in order to save the crowd behind him and, with one final urge not to follow the path of evil, Master Roshi jumps out of the ring, ending the match with Tien as victor.
The final match of the semi finals is Krillin Vs goku
Early in the fight Goku leaps in the air and Krillin follows him; in an imitation of Tien, Krillin uses the sunlight reflecting off of his bald head to temporarily blind Goku and lands a kick on him, sending Goku back to the arena floor. Goku recovers and lunges at the still airborne Krillin, but Krillin evades the attack by filling his body up with air like a balloon, causing Goku to strike only the air beneath him. Goku decides to show Krillin a trick of his own and charges at him while preparing a Kamehameha; he leaps at the last second, turns his back to Krillin and fires the blast, propelling him directly into Krillin, striking him with a strong punch followed by a powerful knee dive to Krillin's stomach. Krillin recovers from the attack and charges at Goku, but Goku evades it and strikes him in the back of the head.
Knowing that he can not beat Goku in a straight-up fight, Krillin fires a Kamehameha at him. Goku easily blocks the attack, but it was intentionally a distraction and Krillin used it to get behind Goku and grab him in a choke putting him to sleep Goku goes down until the referee reaches the nine count when he springs back up and tosses Krillin to the ground; over the course of his training, Goku's throat is no longer a weak spot. Krillin then pretends to see something and strikes Goku when he looks in the same direction, Goku decides that if all is fair to use a trick of his own and seemingly vanishes. From where he is watching the fight, Tien can see that Goku is actually moving extremely fast to appear invisible. Goku reappears directly in front of Krillin and knocks him out of the ring with what looks like a single hit, though Tien can see it was actually eight and a kick.
The final match is Tien VS Goku
The fight between Tien and Goku starts off fast. Tien takes an early advantage, nailing Goku with a Dodon Ray, seeing through his Afterimage Technique, hammering him with the Machine Gun Tsuki (a sequence of very rapid punches), and then knocking down him with the Haikyuken. Goku seems little worse for the attacks however, and declares that he will now fight Tien with all his strength. He starts off with a quick series of attacks, nearly finishing with a Kamehameha, but changes his mind at the last second, knowing that Tien would simply deflect it.
The fight continues with a short Afterimage Technique duel, each fighter using the technique to dodge an attack and try one themselves, with Goku getting the final kick in. Tien then attempts his Solar Flare again, but is floored by Goku, who was wearing shades after learning of the technique from Tien's previous match. As Goku goes to return the shades to Roshi, he is hit from a behind by a recovered Tien, smashing him into the wall.
When the combatants next charge at each other, Goku becomes frozen in place, allowing Tien to land a punch. This happens twice more, and Tien pummels Goku in the process, but, realizing that he is winning too easily, discovers that Chiaotzu is using his powers to paralyze Goku. Tien telepathically tells Chiaotzu to stop interfering in his match, as he wants to beat Goku in a fair fight. This angers Master Shen, who then orders Tien to kill Goku. Tien defiantly states he will not kill Goku, both because he does not want to be disqualified, and, with Master Roshi's advice, he no longer wants to be an assassin like Mercenary Tao. The now infuriated Master Shen orders Chiaotzu to kill both Tien and Goku. When Chiaotzu refuses, Master Shen then threatens to kill him instead. Master Roshi puts an end to this by blasting Master Shen out of the stadium with a Kamehameha, allowing Tien and Goku to concentrate on their match.
Tien then attempts one of his "aces-up-sleeve" techniques, and uses his Four Witches Technique ability to grow an extra set of arms. Goku counters by using a pseudo-eight arms technique he learned from his battle with King Chappa, which Tien is hard pressed to defend against. Tien soon loses the additional arms and decides to use his final attack, the Tri-Beam. He warns Goku to dodge the blast, forcing him out of the arena, as there is no way to survive being hit by it. Tien then floats high in the air and uses the attack, destroying the entire arena. Goku did dodge the blast though, leaping incredibly high in the air. Tien is convinced he will win at this point, as he can levitate and Goku can not. but Goku uses a Kamehameha with his feet rocketing towards Tien knocking him off balance and out of the ring making goku the winner.
Everyone decides to go to the restaurant but goku tells Krillin that he left his dragon ball and power pole in the back Krillin says he'll back in a few minutes everyone is having a good time but they notice that goku isn't eating then he recieves a vison of Krillin dead he finishes his rice then rushes over to the tournament arena everyone follows him he arrives there to see Krillin dead his dragon ball missing and the announcer scared out of his mind Goku asks what happened here the announcer says idk some green monster with wings came here fought Krillin killed him took an orange ball the list of every martial arts competitor and left this paper.
goku grabs his bag of Senzu beans breaks it in half eats it gives the other half to Chiaotzu then does the same to Tien and Yamcha they feel incredible in fact they feel stronger then they did before the tournament began With that goku leaves them then allows his rage to take over and while he's on the Nimbus he also has his power pole attached to his back he transforms not into his Ikari form but into a super saiyan but he doesn't know that he catches up with Tambourine after he delivered the list and the dragon ball King Piccolo only needed Goku's to summon the dragon he wished for his youth back goku kills Tambourine when Piccolo finishes making his wish.
Then Goku rushes towards Piccolo he doesn't care if he dies or if his friend can come back he finds piccolo before anyone else can die crashes his ship Piccolo wonders who has the audacity to confront him but he recieves no answer just a boy with yellow hair and green eyes they fight for awhile but it becomes clear that goku is a thousand times stronger than piccolo especially when goku's kamhameha kills Piccolo but not before he shoots an egg saving himself and Kami as well Goku rushes over to the Lookout after his transformation goes away.
Once there he meets Kami for the first time he almost attacks him but Kami says that he's not Piccolo and that in a year he will be able to bring Krillin back but what if he could go see him now Goku says i would like that Kami gives goku everything Gohan left with him but he has the originals in the vault he gave Goku the copies to take with him Kami takes Goku to the check-in station after some discussion Goku makes his way down snake way 6 months later he arrives at the end then jumps down to King Kai's planet he falls face first making both King Kai and Krillin laugh.
goku finds that he can't even stand up for the first week but after a month he gets used to it then asks King Kai do you have special abilities King Kai says sure each kai does Goku asks are you able to make objects appear King Kai says yes every Kai can Goku asks can you put 2,000 pounds on me Krillin says that's insane goku i only have 200 pounds on me and i can barely handle it even after half a year here King kai says okay you asked for it then puts 2,000 pounds on Goku.
King kai says your first task chase bubbles goku nods after 3 months he's able to catch Bubbles and after another 3 months he's able to hit Gregory with the mallet Krillin is gaping like a fish and says wow i just conpleted that exercise yesterday next he has them spar with each other to see what to teach them next they start out fairly even but it becomes fairly obvious that goku is stronger than Krillin after 30 minutes King kai says that's enough then he teaches krillin the Kaioken technique and goku he sees after doing the multiform technique his going through scrolls.
King Kai looks over the scrolls uses his ablilties to copy their knowledge then his duplicate understands that Goku is a Saiyan so he puts goku through the saiyan workout routine which is the most hardcore workout routine imaginable then he teaches goku the saiyan fighting style which is Raditz & Nappa's fighting Style also goku learns the ape style which is kid Goku's style kid Gohan's and Turles fighting style Goku also learns the fake moon technique.
Krillin is able to use up to times 3 when his friends gather the dragon balls to wish him back they find the last one when Krillin asks can i teach this to my friends King Kai puts it into a scroll including how to go from regular Kaioken to times 20 the highest it can go King kai teleports him to the Check-in station he gets wished back then spends the next 4 years with Yamcha Tien Chiaotzu Chichi and Bulma training for Goku's return during this time everyone teaches each other what they have learned including how to fly during the last 2 years they each train with Korrin then go their seperate ways.
Meanwhile goku is learning Kaioken and spirit bomb on King Kai's planet he gets up to times 4 but stops he pushes each level until it doesn't affect him once he achieves that he moves onto spirit bomb it's the same level as the saiyan saga he moves onto the Ikari form he masters it but he can't quite access super saiyan again despite how strong he's become he does the final test he catches bubbles in 30 seconds flat and Gregory in a minute flat fastest anyone has caught him so far then Goku heads back to the Check-in Station once there Kami shows up takes him back to Earth goku takes one of his senzu beans his power is restored and he's stronger than ever.
