The Guide of Evolution

A year has passed since Tristan had his near death encounter with the dragon flies but the rain still fell from the sky and with greater intensity at that.

He looked up at the sky while sitting on a hill reminiscing.

The day he fell and hit his head would be a cold reminder that he was but a mere insect in this world.

The dragonflies surrounded him but at that very instant a change happened in the sky.

A vortex appeared in the dark clouds above and the air became static, the dragonflies noticed the change and retreated to god knows where.

His body shook as he managed to roll on his back and as the cold raindrops fell on his body he opened his eyes.

In that very instant he was put into a great shock.

How did one know that they were insignificant? Well, that's when you see a lightning bolt as thick as a continent crash down.

Gods would not face it man could only watch on in fear, the wild beast of the land were in a horrified frenzy.

Boom. . .boom. . .boom!!!

The earth shook as a creature of an unimaginable proportion rose from the earth and faced the sky.

Its mouth opened, and like a stream flowing into a vast pit, it absorbed the lightning.

Many more such beasts moved and the earth shook violently, they all raised their heads high and absorbed the white wall of plasma descending from the sky.

The rain disappeared for a moment and creatures of varying shapes and sizes began to move.

Tristan immediately knew that it wasn't safe so he began to search for a place to hide.

He looked behind him and saw a vague image of a hill in front.

Salvation, he thought as he sprinted towards the hill.

As he neared the hill he realized that it was unusually tall and not only that, there were holes everywhere.

But despite this Tristan rushed towards the hill at full speed.

Rumble!

The ground shook again but not because of those ginormous lifeforms but due to the lightning nearing the earth.

As dashed through one of those holes he looked back and the world outside shown with a white light.

He screamed out in terror as thick electrical as he saw plasma rushing in, Tristan ran so quickly that one would believe that ten buff gay men were chasing him relentlessly.

Clang clang!!

The sound of metal could be heard beneath him, the plasma behind him reacted violently and exploded.

A huge surge of electricity slammed into him, flinging him forward and knocking him unconscious.

As he flew threw the air a robotic voice spoke,

Energy threshold reached . . . . . Plasma storm detected closing off all entrances.

The hatch behind Tristan closed as he fell to the ground.

An unknown time passed but the constant sound of beeping could be heard.

Beep beep beep!!!

Tristan began to come to as the beeping continued, as he began to gradually open his eyes a blinding light pierced through the cracks of his eyelids.

Robot 111- patient has awoken from slumber, please proceed with the analysis.

Robot 434- analysis complete, the gene opening operation is a success.

Tristan heard the voices and thought, 'am I in a hospital? And what kind of operations are they on about?'

He opened his eyes and the white light blinded him temporarily but in a few seconds he recovered.

But in the moment he saw what was in front he backed up quickly and stared on vigilantly.

The two robots looked at each other, their mechanical eyes blinking.

The robot on the left (robot 111) raised its mechanical arm to its face and cleared its non-existent throat.

"Greetings homo sapien. I am medical robot 111. You can call me Bob and this here is my assistant 434, you can call him Roy."

Tristan chuckled but his vision blurred and he fainted.

The two robots' bionic eyes blinked as they looked at each other, and suddenly the heart monitor began to beep like it was about to explode.

Startled, the two robots rushed over, robot 434 or Roy in short began its analysis.

Gene mutation detected and natural adaptation in process, physical stress is at a critical point, roy the robot spoke on a panik if we do nothing his body will explode.

Robot 111 or Bob in short seemed to be in deep contemplation as it stared at Tristan closely.

Boom!

[Warning warning haul breach detected, deploying combat droids.]

The room went red as the mainframe of this building issued warnings constantly.

A huge commotion broke out and explosions rang out continuously shaking the rooms, the two medical bots seemed panicked.

But as they looked at each other they moved without the slightest bit of hesitation.

Roy the assistant bot brought over a crystal cube an unknown yet dark energy flowing inside.

Bob went over to Tristan, his scalpel ready to slice open his chest, but without warning the cube floated over and sunk into his chest like water seeping into a sponge.

Roy moved over to some panels and tapped rapidly.

Evacuation protocol has been issued, please choose coordinates, as if in sync the two robots shouted simultaneously, "random".

But as it started to count down the hatch exploded and a strange black life form rushed in but it was too late.

Zuuooom!

Tristan was launched far off into the horizon, his destination unknown.

Inside the medical room the black creature stared at this, its cold eyes and without emotion it then spoke in a language not known by man.

Where did he go? Roy chuckled and mocked "I guess we'll never know."

"Fool I have no time for your games, I sensed the energy leaving with that human boy, so where did he go?"

"Not telling yah."

The creature grew angry and slammed Roy into the ground, crushing its mechanical body, showing that its strength was immense.

The creature's cold angry eyes stared at Bob but Bob made a shrugging motion and said "we couldn't tell you even if we tried because the location was set at random."

Hearing this the creature roared out with anger shaking the rooms and destroying the equipment.

Then with a swift motion of its arm a black energy shot out and destroyed everything.

In the dark skies above a pod soared through the air leaving a trail of smoke behind it.

Tristan's eyes were open and an unreal level of clarity could be seen in them.

The pod began to plummet at this moment the trees grew closer and closer at a rapid pace.

His body tensed as he braced for impact.

Boom!

As the pod crashed into the ground mud and dirt flew up high and a puff of smoke wafted out.

Warning atmospheric pressure is increasing, don't not leave the pod this is for your own safety.

As red lights flashed a wall of plasma descended from the sky he Tristan squinted due to the sudden brightness.

Rumble rumble!

The scene of apocalyptic type lifeforms rising from the earth could be seen again but in greater detail.

The earth cracked and massive fissures and reveans opened up everywhere.

Deploying shield maximum output.

As soon as those words were said the wall reached and a massive web of energy shot out.

Boom!

Everything seemed to happen in slow motion, electrical arcs flew through the air, it was as if the forest was filled with fairies and magical beings.

But despite the strong electrical energy and magnetic pulse the tree's only wilted then a green energy surfaced for a split second before they sprung up.

Their roots extended becoming massive like the ridges of mountains; the trees grew thick and monstrous.

Their branches extended outward covering an area of a hundred kilometers.

These trees were like mount everest tall and majestic seemingly surviving the ancients till now.

Oh how resilient was life to actually use lighting to grow,

Beep beep!!

The constant beeps woke him up from his thoughts as the pod opened with a tss sound.

A cool yet heavy sensation washed over his body the air was tinged with a greenish blue tint.

He heard a beeping sound and turned to look at the pod.

A pair of black sweatpants could be seen folded up nearly along with a black and blue long-sleeved shirt.

He looked at his tattered clothes and decided to change.

The design was sleek and comfortable. He looked down and saw a bracelet and a round ball.

He donned the bracelet and immediately it turned out it showed his heart rate and his physical condition along with a 3d scan of his body detailing which area was injured or affected in any way.

However his scann seemed to be normal so he was relieved but he was impressed because such technology was only being introduced on earth.

It was so sleek and comfy at that, but his attention was drawn to the round ball in his hand.

Suddenly a 3d projection popped up. Please select the weapon type.

He was intrigued as he quickly chose a sword.

The black ball in his hand began to transform, and a black sword was formed; its blade slightly curved, its tip having a point.

It seemed like a katana but not a katana, a machete but not one, a long sword but not quite it.

Tristan seemed satisfied with this a 3d projection appeared again durability 100/100 sharpness 50/50

He looked at this but couldn't really put the stats into perspective.

With a weapon in hand Tristan began to move through this forest his only task to survive.

As he moved through the forest he heard a low yet horrifying sound, it was like a mouse and hyena's cry mixed together.

The hairs on his body stood on end but this brought a strange sense of awareness.

He moved silently, his foot work beautifully executed.

Tristan moved to the nearest tree and began to look around his fine hairs stood on end, giving him a surreal sense of awareness.

Cancha cancha.

The sound of the branches being broken could be heard again the air moved odly to his left and his fine hairs picked it up alerting him.

Peering around the massive tree he saw a creature of an astonishing size; its eyes seemed to glow as it moved slowly.

Its massive deer head had two horns that seemed to blend into the trees.

Its massive earthy legs moved but it didn't make a sound, its head moved and its glowing eyes stared at him.

Frightened he pulled back but he regretted it the moment he did so.

The forest became eerily quiet and his heart began to pound hard in his chest.

He looked to his right and two glowing white eyes were staring at him. He almost jumped out of his skin.

He took a few steps back and bumped into something, "shit" he turned around immediately to confront the enemy.

But the thing only looked down at him and then made that horrific noise again.

He heard no sound but the fine hairs on his body felt the disturbance in the air and he knew he was surrounded.

With a troubled heart he looked around to see several massive figures standing around him, their glowing white eyes making the atmosphere tense and uneasy.

Thoe the situation was tense, some strange happenings began to appear on earth.

On a busy street a man walked leisurely while listening to music with his headphones in.

Suddenly the space in front began to tear apart and a strange beast rushed out and stomped the man to death.

The people around began to panic and scream.

A mystic power user appeared and attacked the beast without any mercy, killing it on the spot.

A few more monsters rushed out but the man moved with deadly precision killing all the strange beast.

Everyone was relieved, a powerful mystic user was here saving everyone's life.

The man looked at the tear in space with a frown.

But this wasn't the only occurrence that seemed to be happening world wide.

But mystic users of all sorts began to emerge protecting the citizens.

During the period of confusion people realized that the knowledge and power they had gained in the other worlds came with them.

There was magic cultivation, martial arts curses, Divine power ect.

So in order to give everyone a unified system that did not discriminate they brought people of similar yet different power levels together and gave them a series of tests.

After a week they came to a grand conclusion.

These people who had strange abilities all had some strange energy of different and varying types circulating through their bodies which caused these strange phenomena.

After testing they noticed that those who had more energy were stronger and those with less weaker.

no matter what one used as strength If they were weak they would have less and if strong more.

But due to the varying abilities they gave this system a universal name.
