The Holy crussed

Chapter 2: Chapter Two: The Freed Demon

Fate does not favor those who sit idle, it rewards those who seek it relentlessly. The world does not owe you anything, but it will give you everything if you dare to take it."

Larios escaped from his hideout and emerged through one of the sewers. He was astonished by the sight of the kingdom and its towering buildings. He began wandering and noticed that people were wearing luxurious clothes made of feathers. He approached a food stall, but the vendor threw a stone at him, shouting, "Stay away from my shop, you beggar!" Larios continued his path and saw a cart guarded by a group of soldiers, with people cheering, "Long live King Atilda!" Larios was puzzled, wondering what this person had done to receive such praise.

The scene shifts to a church where one of the followers says, "It happened so quickly, we don't understand what happened. I swear, when we catch him, he will suffer." The church leader, Caligula, interrupts and says, "Enough chatter, go search for him now. He is an evil spirit on the loose, and must not meet any of the capital's inhabitants. By tomorrow evening, we will decide what to do."

Then, storms, winds, and rain begin to pour. Larios, cold and hungry, knocks on people's doors, but they all refuse him and order him to leave. He finds no help and, in the distance, sees members of the church searching for him. He hides in one of the alleys, running quickly. He feels a severe headache, as if a powerful aura is about to leave his body. When he gets up, he finds crows above his head.

He continues his journey and sees a group of soldiers beating a beggar and ordering him never to be seen again. Larios notices that the beggar had stolen a piece of paper from them. Soon after, he realizes the entire kingdom has gathered in the capital's square. The message is from the church, and Larios takes a dagger from the beggar before heading to the square.

On his way, he sees a strange man who seems to be from outside the kingdom, watching him from a distance. Larios continues his journey with a look of vengeance in his eyes, directed at that cursed church. Soon, the noblemen arrive in their carriages, and on the platform, the king and his family stand alongside members of the church and their evil leader. The trumpet sounds, and the king rises, saying, "Today, we live in peace and happiness, all content, including my family and my people." He continues, "All of this is thanks to the church that serves the Lord, and in turn, it grants us its blessings."

Then Caligula, the priest, speaks, saying, "You heard the king well. We do all of this in obedience to the Lord, and we do not hesitate to follow His commands. However, something happened last night. A group of church members did something that cannot be forgiven." Caligula pretends to know nothing and then orders the unveiling of covered bodies. When the covers are removed, it is revealed that they are the bodies of church members. He says, "They betrayed us and disobeyed the Lord." A citizen asks, "What did they do? Does it have to do with the explosion we felt beneath us?" Caligula responds, "Yes, unfortunately. They summoned a demonic spirit in the form of a child with a mark on its hand. They were hiding a set of black stones for it. During last night's eclipse, it killed them and escaped, causing an explosion with its power." Caligula adds, "One of these bodies seems to belong to those church members who were a couple."

The king is terrified and says, "I can't believe this, but since it is the Lord's command, we will act. Find him! Kill this demon!" Larios, now fleeing, crashes into one of the soldiers. In a split second, the soldier raises his sword, but Larios pulls out a dagger, jumps, and stabs him in the head. The other soldiers notice him and shoot arrows at him. He falls to the ground, and just then, a man on a black horse appears, looks at him, and says, "What a trouble you are!" The man lifts him onto his horse and says, "Enough with the troubles." Then, he rides away from the kingdom, heading toward the forest. The next morning, Larios wakes up in a tent and finds himself in the forest, wondering how he got there and who this person is.

"Even in the darkest moments, hope continues to loom on the horizon, like an unseen shadow guiding us toward what we do not yet know."
