The Price of Divinity

After the dirt settled down, Note saw that the man standing there was the same person that he was just in. Note now saw how the man looked; he looked even taller than he originally thought; his vibrant red eyes and white hair illuminated the space where he resided. It didn't have the gloomy aura that Note was after entering the man's body. The more he stared at his past body, Note blacked out.

Note was now in a dream, seeing the world from a third-person perspective. He had the same body as he had in the room. A new insight was given; he could now see what originally happened to Roi's body, which he is now occupying. 

The scene was similar to when he originally woke up. Roi and his wife act like a regular couple who are truly in love. A black screen suddenly appeared. The next second was them resting on the couch. The woman was sitting in Rois' lap while feeding him chocolate-covered chocolate. Note caught a glimpse of her reciting something beneath her breath. Note noticed the clock showed 12:00. After she finished reciting, the clock went to 21:00.

A black screen suddenly appeared again. A new scene appeared where Roi was about to open the door with his wife in the background carrying a moon-shaped dagger. The same earthquake occurred, bringing Roi to his knees.

"Goodbye." In a soothing voice, the woman stabbed Roi in his neck, destroying his vocal cords, only producing the sound of him choking on his blood. Note noticed the mysterious man's piercing look from the window that is now opened.

The dream ends there. Note woke up noticing that he was standing with his hands extended, and his peripheral vision caught the two recognizable barn doors. He was brought back into the original body that he originally was. Note ran to see Rois's body on the ground, coughing blood. 

"What happened? I was just at the barn; now I am on the ground. My body feels right, yet I feel something is missing. Wait, who are you?" Roi saw Note and was confused as he had never seen him in his life.

Boom!!!

A sudden explosion interrupted Note. A warning sign that a god was descending into our realm. Before any further introduction, Note helped Roi up, and they both ran behind a tree. After feeling safe, they were both transported to Roi's wife and the mysterious man.

"Kath, is that you? What is happening, and why are you wearing that? I thought you left that life behind!" Roi asked for an explanation, completely ignoring the body just below his feet.

Roi felt a hot sensation in his feet; he instinctively looked down, his eyes immediately became large, and his mind went into shock.

"AHHH!!!! Please don't tell me you did this!!!" Roi screamed at how disturbing the scene was. 

Note was disturbed at the scene, only screaming internally; the only thing it showed was his completely shocked face as he continued staring at the poor woman.

"We now have all the necessary ingredients for the ritual! How nice for them. Kath is ready to kill them. Roms is waiting, and he is the most impatient of our moons." The mysterious man stepped up and raised his hand while forming many moon-shaped attacks.

"Yes, ****, I will. Don't worry; they will die, yes or yes." Kath activated the same moon-shaped attacks; the only difference was how dark the red was. Kath was lighter compared to the mysterious man.

Note and Roi looked at each other and instinctively decided to combine to kill the enemies. Roi was the first one to run toward them with a barrage of punches. Only some hitting is doing minimal damage. They just stood there dodging like it was nothing. Roi's last attempt managed to land on Kath's face, causing her to stare Roi in the eyes. Not doing anything, just staring at him. At the same time when Roi was attacking, Note went inside the house, grabbed a cheap knife, and tried to stab Kath, only for the knife to be interrupted by a crescent moon.

The three moons hit their peak: Crims at the center, Roms on the left, and Deve on the right. The outside was only illuminated by the moon's crimson light. Everything was secluded and empty. The barn and tree no longer existed. 

Both Note and Roi stepped back only to be pierced by a crescent moon dagger. Their fast reaction time made them narrowly escape certain death. The dagger only hit their forearms rather than their hearts. Their adrenaline made them not produce any sound and take the pain.

"Kath, stop playing and just kill them!" The mistress was starting to get visibly annoyed.

"Ah, shit, this hurts." Note and Roi took out the daggers from their arms and started to get ready for round two.

Hundreds of moon-shaped attacks were launched at both Note and Roi. With the help of the daggers they took, they managed to deviate from the attacks.

Cling! Cling!

Swift! Swift!

Note and Roi managed to dodge the first attack, thinking the rest would be easy; they were caught by surprise when, in every direction, there were daggers thrown at them. 

After only dodging for three seconds, Roi was struck in the head with a moon-shaped circle. Note looked for a second only to see Roi's head explode, leaving the hologram of a moon. Note stopped moving due to the shock when, in that one second, there were already ten moon-shaped circles around his body. Note's first instinct was to stay there but with his hatred for what they did to Roi. He immediately ran towards Kath, where he exploded.

The explosion caused Note's body parts to fling everywhere. Every part where his blown body landed showed a hologram of a moon. Note's last dish attack managed to destroy Kath's arm. Her using her power left her right arm unprotected; if it weren't for her protection, she would have suffered the same fate Note suffered. 

"Ah!" After returning to the room, Note's adrenaline and delusion wore off. Leaving him with the image of Roi exploding and his own body exploding, not killing him instantly, causing him to experience the pain as if it was one explosion at a time, simultaneously.
