51 Divine Cat Mii-chan’s Journey to the Capital
Mii-chan, with her tummy so full she couldn’t stand, was rolling around inside the carrier bag.

I took Mii-chan out of the carrier bag and sat her down in front of me.

She was giving me a big smile, showing how delicious it was. She’s so cute, but this is one of those times I have to steel my heart and scold her.
“Mii-chan, that’s a no-no!”

“You know why I’m angry, right?”

“No anko for a while!”

“It can’t be helped, right? We’re leaving for the capital tomorrow, so there’s no time to make more.”

After finishing my late lunch, I was called by the Guild Master.
“Here is the letter. You need to deliver it to the head of the Hunter’s Guild in the capital. This is an emergency pass; show it at the gates of the capital, and you’ll be allowed in immediately. And here’s the money. It’s your pay for the work in Quinto and the current mission. Please check it.”
Inside the bag were twenty gold coins.
“Isn’t this a lot?” I asked.

“Good. Now, let’s have what you came to deliver to this town.”
I gave Mii-chan a signal, and she handed over the item as if I had pulled it out myself.

After that, I talked with Eva and copied a map to the capital. On the way, there are three major towns where I need to deliver letters to their respective guilds. Eva also instructed me to hand the copied map to the Hunter’s Guild in the capital. Maps seem to be classified information in any world.

Eva said this while petting the now-full Mii-chan. I didn’t want to ask which of us she didn’t want to send, as I didn’t want to feel down.
“Alright, preparations are in the final stage. All that’s left is to eat. I asked Mr. Sykes to prepare some food earlier. I’ll pick it up and store it in Mii-chan’s bag. It might be a bit much, but we still have a lot left from when we left Quart. Well, it should be fine in Mii-chan’s bag.

I patted Sumire’s head before mounting her.
“Alright, let’s get going, Sumire. I’m counting on you.”
With a snort, she seemed to say, “Leave it to me,” and started running.

By late morning, we reached the first village. Wait, weren’t we supposed to spend the night here? I asked the village gatekeeper for the village’s name, and it turned out to be the planned village. Sumire, you’re amazing!
I used the village’s communal well to give Sumire some well water and mineral water, and fed her some fodder.
Sumire didn’t seem very tired. Checking the map, the next town is about the same distance away.

I tied Sumire up in front of the guild and went inside. Since it was late afternoon, hunters were starting to return.
The reception was crowded, so I called out to someone in the back.

The hunters started to boo, but I had a trump card: the emergency pass.
“I came from the Quinto Hunter Guild. I have an emergency pass. Can someone in charge assist me?”
