The Village Disciples

This chapter involves a flashback to Chapter 7.

Make sure you have read through chp. 7 to understand the events that happened that have led up to now.

Furusato Village

"So, will you reconsider now?" Asked Regashi

Currently, Itami and Doryoku are panting heavily, slightly bleeding, and cornered. They soon regretted trying to leave.

FLASHBACK

Just as Itami and Doryoku turned around, a new guy appeared. Wearing a bandage-like mask that hides half of his face and wielding a sword with Japanese markings written all over it, he jumped in front of the green-haired duo and stuck out his sword.

"This wasn't a request, it was an order." Stated the sword-wielding man

"Ah, Gimu. Just in time!" Regashi rejoiced, "maybe you can change their minds?"

"Ah, to hell with this," Doryoku said, clearly fed up with being stalled. Then, charging at Gimu, the ring on his finger glows a bright green.

Suddenly, a beam of green light shot out of the ring. Directed at Gimu, once contact was made, an explosion occurred. Once the smoke gradually dissipates, Gimu can be seen standing with his sword out diagonally, representing that he blocked the blast. Also, showing that the markings on the sword are now glowing blue.

"Big mistake." Gimu declared as he then dashed forward, targeting Doryoku. Before he could reach Doryoku, Itami jumped out and guarded Doryoku. Gimu then slashed his sword at Itami, only for it to be blocked by a giant stick.

Once Itami blocked the attack, he shoved Gimu back. "Is this really how you want to play!?" Questioned Itami, apparently aggravated.

"If you just accepted our plan, we wouldn't have to be doing this!" Gimu explained.

As if it was a standoff, Itami and Gimu glared at each other, both in fighting stances. Then, Regashi stepped down from his throne,

"I don't really see why you are fighting us on this. You'll only be hunted down by us once we start planning attacks. There isn't anywhere in the nation that could keep you away from us." Regashi announced, who's now slowly walking toward the fight.

"As I said; we ARE NOT joining!" Retorted Doryoku.

Once said, Regashi only sighed and spoke, "Then, Gimu. Show these men what we're capable of." Then, Regashi can be seen with a wicked smile on his face.

PRESENT TIME

"If you still don't want to join, we could just cut you off here and not have to put up with such impudence." Imawashiki spoke darkly, who's been silently watching the ordeal.

"So, what's it going to be, fella's?" Regashi asks, his wicked smile still on his face.

Itami and Doryoku looked at each other, still panting heavily. They both nod.

"Fine, consider us in."

BURAUNMAJIKKU ACADEMY

The whole class can still be seen outside; all the students are once again lined up. Excluding Tanjo, due to him winning the first competition, now allows him to sit out for the next challenge.

"Now, for this portion. We will be testing how strong your magic is!" Mr. Oshieru notfied the students.

"You all will be attempting to blast through stone walls. There is a reason blue aura'd folks tend to have the strongest magic when it comes to actually 'emitting' magic externally."

Once Mr. Oshieru explained what they were to do, Sukudo raised his hand and said, "Excuse me sir, but what stone walls are you talking about?" Sukudo queried

"We will be getting the walls from our very own Principal-" Mr. Oshieru then gestured to the side.

"Ms. Manabu." Shortly after answering, a lady with light brown elbow-length hair, brown eyes, and wearing a light blue mohair suit appeared out of the ground, firstly encased in stone, then retracting the stone back into the ground.

"That's me!" Ms. Manabu declared, putting a thumb up and flashing a toothy smile.

Some of the students were impressed by the fact that a normal-looking lady came out of the ground, still marveling at the fact. Mr. Oshieru cleared his throat.

"She will supply us with the stone walls, one of her specialties is manipulating things like stone, it could be layered under the ground and she could still use the stone above land." Informed Mr. Oshieru, then moving to face the Principal.

"May you?" Questioned Mr. Oshieru, before witnessing Ms. Manabu create five stone walls that are side by side from one another, then creating two more layers behind the five walls.

"Choose a wall and get ready, this can be considered a mix of the last portion, both challenging your endurance and also showing your magic's strength." Explained Mr. Oshieru

All of the contributing students got into their own positions and waited for further orders.

"Now, like last time, I'm going to count down, and when I say 'Go', I expect you to start shooting the walls up with magic." Mr. Oshieru directed.

"1"

"GO!" Mr. Oshieru then hollered.

The second the teacher finished the countdown, all of the five students began to allow their blue aura-senses to flare aggressively and visibly, then attempted to shoot beams forward.

As Tanjo started thanking the gods for allowing him to skip out on this, Mr. Oshieru immediately noticed that some of the students didn't have the best control of where to direct their magic inside their bodies.

The most the students could do was barely even crack the stone walls, giving Mr. Oshieru and Ms. Manabu a clear demonstration of where the first years currently are in terms of strength.

In the midst of thinking about the student's control, he thinks back to Tanjo, recalling how he somehow produced a laser as big as 20 feet wide. Sighing in frustration, he thinks to himself,

'This year's students are going to be a handful.'
