The Villain Doesn’t Want To Date the Cute Heroine

chapter 8

8: The Young Master Doesn’t Want to Be Late

A black shadow swiftly passed through the bustling streets, moving as fast as a sprinting hound.

Weaving through the crowd on the pedestrian street, flickering amidst the busy traffic.

Many people felt a gust of wind brush past their ears, and when they turned their heads towards where the figure had disappeared, they could only catch a vague glimpse of a retreating silhouette.

“I’m going to be late…”

Wu Liang ran along the path with a head full of black lines, not wanting to tarnish his new academic life with the stain of being absent from class.

Dodging obstacles as if parkouring, he leaped over the trench that was under construction.

Wu Liang, while running, glanced at the watch on his wrist, barely making it on time.

If one were to ask why Wu Liang was dashing through these streets and alleys alone, we’d have to rewind time to 5 minutes ago.

————————————-

“Five minutes earlier · Hospital Entrance”

“Welcome the young master as he leaves the hospital!”

The deafening roar almost sent Wu Liang, who had just stepped out of the hospital lobby, to his grave.

Staring blankly at the row of Lincoln limousines parked in front of the hospital, and the burly men who had been waiting by the cars.

Wu Liang felt as if he had been struck on the head, bewildered by the crowd. What are you all trying to do, send me off to my funeral?

Bringing so many Lincolns, are you trying to see me off? Why don’t you just bring the coffin over too?

“Young master, please get in the car, the guard team is ready.”

The two central figures of the Lincoln motorcade approached Wu Liang with utmost respect, gesturing for him to enter.

At the heart of the five pitch-black Lincoln limousines was an eye-catching, stretched, pure white Lincoln.

“Can’t we keep it down a bit?”

Wu Liang, with a forehead full of black lines, looked at the two burly men in black from his own household.

Do I look like I dare to get in the car? I’m afraid once I do, you’ll take me straight to the crematorium!

Making such a big scene just for school, those unaware might think a national leader has arrived.

And what kind of guard team is this, with the white Lincoln in the middle being the most special?

If you were really escorting some VIP, are you afraid the assassin won’t recognize them, so you prepared the most conspicuous target on purpose?

“Young master? Isn’t this how you’ve always traveled?”

The two burly men were momentarily puzzled upon hearing this; their young master had always traveled this way.

Why then does he say today that this method is a bit too ostentatious?

“Is that so… Well, from now on, it’s not necessary. Just let me go to the academy on my own today.”

“Don’t follow me; I occasionally want to enjoy some time alone.”

Wu Liang patted the chests of the two burly men, then took another road and left the place.

Turning his head towards the luxury cars on the street, Wu Liang silently apologized to the bodyguards in his heart.

Gentlemen, it’s been tough on you all these years, serving someone as foolish as me.

“Young master…”

The two burly men stood dumbfounded, watching Wu Liang disappear around the corner of the street in a few leaps.

They felt that the young master had become much more cheerful and approachable, a stark contrast to the aloof young master of the past.

And from the recent conversation, there was no sense of distance; it was as if the young master treated the two of them as friends, chatting away.

“But speaking of which, does the young master really have such exaggerated physical fitness?”

A bodyguard suddenly realized something was amiss and pointed towards the spot where Wu Liang had disappeared.

Judging by the young master’s recent action of scaling the high wall with one hand, even he, as a bodyguard, would find it difficult to accomplish.

After all, the high wall that the young master had effortlessly climbed over was close to three meters high…

————————————-

“I should’ve taken the car, damn it.”

Wu Liang stopped in his tracks and looked at his watch; there was less than five minutes left.

Given the current situation, even he would find it very difficult to arrive at the academy on time.

“No choice now, I’ll have to take the shortcut.”

Wu Liang glanced at the dim alley beside him, thankful that he had already checked all the routes to the academy the day before.

It was to prepare for such a situation, and now it came in handy; he really was a genius.

“But my physical fitness is truly terrifying… to think I’ve been running at full speed for so long and hardly feel tired…”

Wu Liang hopped a couple of times, feeling the lightness of his body, somewhat surprised.

If he remembered correctly, his physical fitness wasn’t particularly good…

『Deep in the Alley』

Even in the most glamorous cities, there are corners as filthy as this.

The dark, damp alley seemed sinister, with stray cats and dogs darting through occasionally.

Overturned garbage cans emitted waves of stench, and the sticky ground was dripping with an unknown liquid.

Even the homeless would sneer at such an alley, filled with disgust, let alone ordinary people.

Thud.

That was the sound of a fist hitting flesh, echoing particularly loud in this dark alley.

Then came a series of curses and shoving noises slowly rising in the alley.

“You ungrateful brat, we’re just asking you for some money to spend, aren’t we?”

“Looking at you in your Glorious Xing Academy uniform, you must be a young master, right?”

A burly man with tattoos on his face gripped the collar of the boy in front of him, speaking discontentedly.

A young master from Glorious Xing Academy can’t even come up with a few thousand dollars? Don’t joke around.

“You… you scum…”

The boy fiercely resisted the thugs in front of him, not expecting to encounter such a situation just after transferring schools.

If he had known he would run into trouble in this alley, he should never have taken this route from the start.

Leaving a bad impression on the teachers and classmates on the first day of school was truly terrible.

“Yo? Is the young master angry?? Then show me your rage??”

The burly man said with a laugh, looking at the young man’s cheek.

Then, a punch landed fiercely in the youth’s abdomen.

“Ugh…”

The youth had not anticipated the burly man’s sudden strike.

He immediately felt an excruciating pain in his belly.

Clutching his abdomen, he knelt on the ground, trembling, hardly able to stand after such a solid punch.

“Huh? That’s all you’ve got? It seems our young master is nothing special after all.”

The burly man mocked the incapacitated youth, while the surrounding thugs laughed along.

But just as the burly man was about to deliver another couple of kicks, a discordant voice suddenly rang out from behind the crowd.

“Are you guys having a party here? Mind if I join in??”
