To be the misunderstood villainess

Chapter 17: His eyes, the betrayers

All of the past horrors that were haunting him, his anger towards his father, his anger towards himself for not standing up against him, his anger for giving up on her so easily, everything came back rushing to his mind.

He was angry at himself for still letting the ghosts of his past scare him, for letting them have control over his actions.

He thought that he has perfectly learned the art of hiding his emotions.

He thought that he knew how to hide away the fact that he is nervous. He thought that by now he knows that he shouldn't be afraid of anyone anymore.

His father might take away his title if he wants to but he can't beat him physically anymore. He had nothing to be scared of, yet he was scared today.

He fainted today due to nervousness. He was feeling ashamed of himself but who was going to tell him that the mountain that he was carrying on his back is the same mountain he is supposed to climb?

He was supposed to confront his fears, learn how to deal with them, and have a better life. But he was so blind by the other emotions that he forgot that as humans, we are supposed to feel every emotion and that includes fear.

It was nothing abnormal or something we should be ashamed of.

He forgot what he was feeling wasn't a stupid feeling, it was his childhood trauma acting up. It wasn't anything he should try to push away.

Rather it was a sign to heal the trauma. It was a sign to open up about all of the abuses to someone else.

But he decided to ignore all of these signs. Instead, he decided to join all of them together and release as anger.

His blank face was now red, red from anger and his eyes seemed like they were burning. If it wasn't for the big screen, nobody would have been able to see them.

Everyone present in that room, especially the ones who were looking at him with interest, was intimated by the look in his eyes.

We, humans, are a slave to our desires and it wasn't anything else for Veronica.

Despite being so powerful, she was still a human after all.

She was feared and desired by everyone at the same time yet her only desire was him. All of the others were just an excuse to forget him.

The look on his face was making her hot rather than scaring her. It's not like she wasn't intimated like others, she was.

But the difference is while the others were intimated because of fear, she was intimated because of the hotness spreading over her entire body just by this look on his face.

She knew this look, a little too perfectly. It was the same look he gave her while his face was between her thighs like he would kill anyone other than him if they look down there. It was the same look that he had while telling the other guys to back off.

His protectiveness could be seen by his gaze. He wasn't the type that would force her into not talking to other guys.

He won't show a single sign that would indicate that he's jealous but you could see everything from his gaze.

The rims of his eyes would turn slightly red and he would look here and there, making a face that he's the least interested.

But oh, his eyes, the betrayers.

Time flies so fast. One day they were too young, in high school, and in a blink of an eye they both are adults.

His appearance wasn't the same anymore. His eyes seems to have a darker shade now, his hair seemed even more glossy.

The moles on his neck were still shining as before, tempting her to kiss there. It used to be her favorite place to kiss.

She wanted to tug his hair and moan against his lips, again. She smirked a little after an idea crossed her mind.

She was just waiting for the perfect timing. But till then her eyes were on the spot.

His car was now taking the lead despite the fact that he started a few seconds later. The entire room filled up with cheers.

They were cheering for him. It's not every day when you see another player beating the best player. She was impressed as well.

She always knew that he was good at racing and they had more than enough races to confirm that. He did race against others as well but never against the best.

And neither did she. She didn't want everyone's attention. Coming and driving till her anger calms down was the only reason behind her coming here.

And so was his but today was an exception.
