Transmigrated as the Villainess Princess

Chapter 17: The Examiner (5)

[Look! This is incredible. The princess is broadcasting live!]

[There are four cameras on her screen. She's giving us a full 360-degree view of her surroundings.]

[Where is she?]

[Why is her broadcast room so dark? It's almost suffocating to watch.]

[What are those eggs?]

[Oh my gosh! Don't they look disturbingly familiar?]

[Wait a minute… aren't those Zerg eggs? The ones the military brought back from the frontier for study?]

[No way! Could she really be in a Zerg lair?]

[And why are there so many?]

The interstellar community erupted into chaos. Streams of viewers flooded into Ahcehera's live broadcast.

People from neighboring planets joined the discussion, their collective fear and fascination turning the feed into a frenzy.

In the dimly lit broadcast, the images were both haunting and mesmerizing.

The eggs pulsed faintly with a sickly, bioluminescent glow, their veined surfaces glistening with a viscous, otherworldly fluid.

Behind them, the jagged walls of the lair loomed ominously, coated with an organic substance that seemed to breathe with the room itself.

Comments from the viewers poured in relentlessly, yet Ahcehera remained oblivious to the chaos her feed had incited.

A mysterious barrier in the Zerg's lair interfered with her communication, cutting her off from receiving any news or feedback.

As the tension escalated, a sudden revelation sent shockwaves through the interstellar audience.

[Did you hear? Someone leaked her real identity!]

[She's not just a princess, she's a Senior Military Strategist!]

[Why is someone of her rank venturing into a lair full of Zerg eggs? Alone?]

A military official, clearly under pressure to address the public outcry, hastily released a statement.

[We confirm that the princess is indeed a Senior Military Strategist. The planet hosting the joint military entrance examination had insufficient reconnaissance data.]

[Strategist Ahcehera took it upon herself to investigate the uncharted areas to ensure the safety of the students. A team was also sent to inspect with her.]

But the explanation only fueled further questions.

[Is the test still ongoing?]

[Why weren't the students evacuated immediately?]

[Is the planet truly that dangerous, or was this negligence?]

Meanwhile, Ahcehera's feed continued to stream uninterrupted.

Her mecha, Syverian, moved steadily through the tunnels, the broadcast capturing every pulse of the eggs, every sinister shadow flickering across the cavernous lair.

The princess, fearless and focused, was the lone figure standing against an impending nightmare, unaware of the interstellar storm her actions had ignited.

The viewers froze as the voice of the princess broke through the eerie silence of the broadcast.

"Syverian," she commanded, her tone calm yet steely, "can you analyze the liquids in the veins that connect the eggs to the cocoons in the other tunnels? The red one flowing from the far wall looks like blood to me. And the green substance being absorbed by the eggs resembles Zerg blood."

Her voice echoed faintly in the dark, cavernous tunnel, sending shivers through the audience.

Experts in chemistry, biology, and other scientific fields had already joined the stream, drawn by the gravity of the situation.

They listened intently, captivated by the unfolding mystery.

"Mistress," Syverian replied, "we can extract a sample for analysis."

Ahcehera's sharp eyes scanned the pulsating veins, their sickly glow reflecting off her S3 mecha's polished surface.

"It might be dangerous to touch them," she warned, "but I suppose we don't have a choice. If these eggs rely not only on essence or spiritual energy but also fresh blood, we might be able to discover a way to destroy them."

Syverian extended a multi-purpose arm. A blade shimmered in the dim light before carefully slicing a vein.

Thick, viscous liquid oozed out, a dark red resembling blood and a toxic green with an unsettling glow. The mecha quickly collected the fluids into separate chambers.

Another arm unfolded, revealing an advanced testing apparatus.

The viewers watched in awe as the machine began analyzing the samples in real time, the screen displaying a series of rapidly changing data points.

Within moments, Syverian delivered its findings.

"Mistress, the results are conclusive. The red substance is human or beast blood, converted by the veins into a hybrid mixture. The green liquid is infused with Zerg hormones. Together, they transform into Zerg-infected blood, which nourishes the eggs, fueling their growth."

Ahcehera's expression darkened as she absorbed the implications. Her voice remained steady, though her mind raced.

"So it's a life for a life," she murmured. "Syverian, let's locate the core of this 76th tunnel. If we can understand the structure of these veins, we may find a way to sever their lifeline."

The broadcast room erupted in chaos. The interstellar viewers were torn between horror and admiration.

[The princess is so calm. Even in the face of such horrors, she hasn't faltered.]

[Her intelligence and composure are extraordinary. She's already identified a potential solution!]

[But wait, wasn't she supposed to have a team with her? Where are her escorts?]

[Could they have… met an accident?]

The conversation grew more frantic, and the public was desperate for answers.

Yet Ahcehera remained focused on her task, isolated from the chaos she had inadvertently unleashed across the stars.

Her broadcast wasn't just a display of bravery, it was a reminder of the dangers lurking in the uncharted reaches of space.

-

Ahcehera and Syverian approached the heart of the 76th tunnel, the core.

A grotesque mass of pulsating veins coiled tightly around a glowing nucleus, faintly illuminating the dark chamber. The air felt heavier, carrying an unsettling energy.

"Mistress, the brain of the veins is emitting a new chemical compound in the form of spores. These spores are nearly invisible to the naked eye, but they are dispersed freely in the air."

Ahcehera's sharp eyes narrowed as she assessed the potential threat. "Syverian, magnify the spores for me. Let me see them clearly."

The mecha's sensors projected a live view onto Ahcehera's display. Tiny, translucent spores floated aimlessly in the dark air, swirling like malevolent dust motes.

They shimmered faintly under the enhanced view, eerie and otherworldly.

"Syverian, can we collect a sample and analyze its properties? I suspect these spores might be responsible for the condition of my team, the students, and even the wildlife on this planet. Whatever's in them could be inducing that coma-like state."

"Understood, Mistress. Collecting now."

Meanwhile, the viewers erupted in a frenzy as the livestream revealed the ominous spores.

[What are those? They look harmless, but they're clearly not!]

[So everyone except the princess fell into deep sleep?]

[The princess is alone!]
