A devilish whisper sounded in Hikigaya Hachiman's ear. 

In that moment, he felt as though he had returned to the day Hiratsuka Shizuka had dragged him into the Service Club by force. The painful memories of being utterly defeated flooded his mind like a tidal wave. 

"Hey, idiot! Move out of the way!" 

Zenin, who was the closest to Hikigaya Hachiman, shouted when she saw the dead-fish-eyed boy standing there in a daze, as though struck by some kind of mental blow. 

Move out of the way? 

How could I possibly dodge Hayashizaki's attack? 

Hikigaya Hachiman couldn't muster any will to fight back. Instead, he relied on instinct developed from training, shielding his body with cursed energy as he braced for Hayashizaki's attack. 

The next moment, an unstoppable force grabbed him, spinning and flinging him through the air. 

Hayashizaki had grabbed the collar of his shirt and hurled him toward Itadori Yuji, who was charging in from farther away. Then, without missing a beat, he raised his arm to block Zenin's descending blade. 

"You've got to be kidding me..." 

Maki felt the vibrations through her long blade—it was like striking unbreakable diamond. Her hands trembled painfully at the joints. 

"Are you telling me he didn't even use cursed energy to block that?" 

Stopping a sharp blade with his bare hands—was that even possible with just physical strength? 

Even someone from the Zenin family, someone with a body strengthened to the limit by Heavenly Restriction, couldn't pull that off, right? 

Realizing her attack had failed, Zenin quickly pulled back, but Hayashizaki wasn't about to let her escape. In a flash, he closed the gap, landing a flurry of punches on her joints before twisting his body and striking her with a powerful palm, sending her flying. 

Her long blade flew out of her hands as Zenin crashed to the ground, her body completely limp. 

"Ugh... all my joints are dislocated?" 

"Maki-senpai!" 

Fushiguro Megumi rushed to her side. 

"I'll pop your joints back in. Bear with it." 

Panda and Nue darted toward Hayashizaki from the ground and sky, respectively. Despite Panda's bulky frame, his speed was anything but slow. 

Meanwhile, Kugisaki Nobara approached from one side, flinging several nails in front of her and gripping a hammer. 

"Resonance Cursed Technique!" 

The nails, infused with her cursed energy, were sent flying toward Hayashizaki with a sharp strike from her hammer. 

As Hayashizaki prepared to dodge, a voice imbued with cursed energy rang out. 

"Don't move!" 

On the opposite side, Inumaki Toge had unzipped his high collar, revealing the cursed speech markings on his cheeks and mouth. 

The power of cursed speech froze Hayashizaki in place for an instant, forcibly halting his movements. However, the backlash burned Inumaki Toge's throat, leaving him with a searing pain. 

Thankfully, Hayashizaki hadn't used cursed energy in that moment. Otherwise, the strain from cursed speech would likely have rendered Toge's voice useless. 

But the cursed speech only stopped Hayashizaki for a split second. 

He raised his hand, effortlessly deflecting the incoming nails. They bounced harmlessly off his palm, falling to the ground with bent tips. 

Kugisaki Nobara's face twisted in frustration as if she had swallowed a fly. 

From above, Nue dove toward Hayashizaki, spreading its wings and unleashing a torrent of purple lightning that poured down like a waterfall, even causing his black hair to stand on end. 

"Panda Rush Punch!" 

Panda charged straight at Hayashizaki and threw a powerful punch. 

Hayashizaki calmly ran a hand through his hair, styling it into a slicked-back look. Only then did he raise his hand to block Panda's strike with a smile. 

"What? Two fingers!?"

Panda's punch slammed into Hayashizaki's extended index and middle fingers, but they didn't budge at all.

"Orra, orra, orra, orra!!!"

Unconvinced, Panda threw punch after punch, each swing leaving afterimages. Hayashizaki responded with rapid movements, meeting every punch with just two fingers. 

The wind from their exchange swept blades of grass into the air until, with a final strike, Hayashizaki planted his palm firmly on Panda's chest, sending a powerful shockwave rippling outward. 

"Argh!"

Panda cried out as he was sent flying like a cannonball. At the same time, an invisible slash struck Hayashizaki just as his attack was ending. 

The slash tore through his clothing at the waist, but his body remained unharmed. The sight made Yukinoshita Yukino's heart sink.

As I thought, with my current cursed energy, long-range [Kai] can't break through Hayashizaki's defenses... 

If that's the case, I'll have to try using [Hachi] up close. 

Having made up her mind, Yukinoshita Yukino immediately began to maneuver toward Hayashizaki. 

"Hikigaya, are you okay?"

Hayashizaki turned his head just as a cursed nail, charged with energy, grazed his cheek and struck the air behind him. 

"Tch, his senses are way too sharp!" 

Kugisaki Nobara clicked her tongue in frustration, then turned and ran. 

Close combat? Even Maki-senpai couldn't beat him. Letting him get near me would be suicide. 

Hayashizaki charged after Kugisaki Nobara but was intercepted by Zenin and Fushiguro Megumi, who had just reset Zenin's dislocated joint. 

Zenin had switched to a new cursed tool, a vivid red three-section staff, while Fushiguro Megumi summoned a Great Serpent by his side. Overhead, the owl-like Nue circled, waiting for the right moment to strike. 

Behind Hayashizaki, Itadori Yuji and Yukinoshita Yukino also rushed forward.
