Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)

Volume 1 Chapter 113: Two Pair of Ears

Ning Chu was never too interested in dramas; she’d only check out a few here and there if they were incredibly popular online.

The idol drama in front of her definitely wasn’t one of those.

She couldn’t understand what Yan Xinya found so entertaining about it.

Soon, something else caught her attention.

“Xinya,” Ning Chu curiously eyed Yan Xinya’s head, “Can I touch it?”

“Are you a perv or something?”

“I meant your ears!”

For goodness’ sake, this was a world full of demi-humans! And yet she, the author, had never even gotten to touch one!

“Perv!” Yan Xinya looked at her suspiciously and shook her head firmly, “No way!”

“But why…?”

Halfway through her question, Ning Chu suddenly realized—

After all, in the story she wrote, the demi-human ears and tails were exceptionally sensitive… aside from succubi.

Succubi in this world could even transform pain into pleasure and were completely full-body sensitive, with no fixed heat cycle.

In one of the plot points, when the main character had managed to seduce the usually quiet succubus Lily, it was during one of her rare heat cycles, which gave him a window of opportunity.

Though still curious about the texture, Ning Chu was worried about offending Yan Xinya and quickly withdrew her eager hand.

But her curiosity was still unsatisfied, so she asked, “Xinya, do you actually have four ears?”

“Huh?” Yan Xinya blinked in confusion, then lifted her long hair on one side, “Two pairs.”

Underneath her hair was a small, normal-looking human ear—this was the typical setup for demi-humans.

“Oh~”

“This pair you can touch if you want.”

Who would be interested in touching human ears? It was the fluffy animal ears that were really intriguing!

Finally content, Ning Chu sat back to keep watching the show.

But she had a habit of napping in the afternoons, and between that and the boring drama, she was soon yawning and growing drowsy.

The dialogue began to lull her, and within ten minutes, her mind had completely drifted off.

“So sweet~ Ning Chu, look at this scene!”

“Ning Chu?”

Yan Xinya turned and saw that Ning Chu was already asleep, her face resting on her hands.

Yan Xinya’s previously perky ears drooped in disappointment, resting flat against her hair, and her bushy tail, which had been swaying, dropped to the ground.

Seeing the tail lying there, Black Bean, the little black cat, pounced on it, treating it like a cat toy.

Yan Xinya flicked her tail back and forth, trying to shoo the cat away.

She rolled her eyes at Ning Chu, muttering, “I thought it was a good show… Could’ve just said you didn’t want to watch.”

With a yawn, she flopped down onto the table, her eyes glued to Ning Chu, looking like a puppy with nothing to do while its owner slept.

Every now and then, her nose would twitch as she sniffed at Ning Chu’s scent.

Underneath her faintly sweet scent was a light milky fragrance—Ning Chu must still be going through puberty.

She’s in college, right? Seventeen or eighteen at least? Pretty late for this kind of thing.

“Ow!”

Black Bean had suddenly chomped down on her tail, making Yan Xinya jolt in pain, tears forming in her eyes.

“This annoying cat!”

She turned to glare at the black kitten, her greenish eyes narrowed as a low growl rumbled from her throat.

Scared, Black Bean darted off.

Hugging her tail protectively, Yan Xinya looked at the clumps of fur on the floor, pouting, “And now I’ve lost some fur, too~”

Still hugging her tail, she slumped over on the desk and dozed off without realizing it.

Knock, knock, knock.

The gentle knock at the door woke Yan Xinya. Her ears perked up as she looked toward the door. “Who is it?”

“It’s me, Wen Yang. Why is the door locked?”

“What time is it? You’re back already?” Yan Xinya glanced out the window, then gasped, “Whoa! It’s dark out!”

Her shock startled Ning Chu awake, too. “What’s going on?”

“Wen Yang’s back. I’ll go let him in.”

Ning Chu was still a little dazed, rubbing the soreness from her eyes.

She glanced at the time and realized it was nearly 7 p.m.

No wonder she was feeling more tired the longer she slept…

Lying face-down on the desk for too long, Ning Chu’s whole body ached in waves. She yawned and looked up just as Wen Yang walked into the room.

“Why are you here too?”

“To keep her company~ she was scared to be alone,” Yan Xinya chimed in cheerfully, her ears twitching with delight.

She looked from Ning Chu to Wen Yang, smiling even more mischievously. “It’s just the two of you now~ I’ll leave you to your romantic evening together!”

“…”

Ning Chu shot her an annoyed glare, but Yan Xinya was already darting out of the room.

“Take it easy! Quit making such a fuss!”

“Got it!”

Wen Yang walked over to the desk and set down a container of pasta he’d bought.

He looked at Ning Chu’s sleepy expression, feeling slightly guilty. “Your dinner.”

“Mhm.” Ning Chu stretched, then grabbed a towel and stepped onto the balcony to wash her face.

Once she felt more awake, it dawned on her that she’d actually managed to make it through the entire afternoon without any creeps bothering her.

Was it thanks to Yan Xinya? Or maybe because of Wen Yang’s baggy pajama shirt?

“Did the tutoring go well today?” she asked casually after returning to the dorm.

Wen Yang tensed up even more at the mention of tutoring. “It was okay… just that middle school kid is tough to teach; he barely pays attention.”

After two months of living together, Ning Chu had gotten to know Wen Yang’s expressions well, and it was easy for her to see through his guilty look.

What’s he so flustered about? Did he fall for some girl?

Feeling a pang of worry, she quickly stepped closer, looking up at him suspiciously. “Why do you look like you’re hiding something?”

The two were nearly touching, and Wen Yang instinctively tried to back away, which Ning Chu only saw as a further sign of guilt.

She followed his every step, backing him against the wall. “Did you fall for some girl?!”

“No, no…” Wen Yang kept retreating until he hit the wall and couldn’t move any further.

He looked down at Ning Chu’s tense face, her doubting gaze, and felt the warmth of her breath only inches away from his chest.

“Out with it!”

“Well… there was this high school girl who insisted on me being her tutor.” Wen Yang looked up at the ceiling. “She lives in the same neighborhood, so I saw her when I arrived, and again when I was leaving… there was some, uh, slight physical contact.”

Ning Chu’s brow furrowed even deeper. “And?”

She could practically confirm it—that high school girl had to be a character from the plot! No normal girl would cling to a handsome guy she’d just met like that.

“I didn’t agree to it! Really!” Wen Yang replied in a flustered rush.

“What’s there to feel guilty about if you didn’t agree…”

It was obvious he’d been tempted for a moment and nearly gave in.

Wen Yang could only give a sheepish smile.

Ning Chu kept her eyes fixed on his for a few moments longer, confirming he wasn’t lying.

Just as she was about to turn back to her dinner, she froze in place.

Something warm was pressing against her stomach…

Wen Yang’s smile grew even more awkward.
